Meet actress who was abandoned by her father, made her debut at age of 12, worked in 180 films, net worth is Rs..., her name is…
The Indian film industry has seen many actresses whose performances and personal lives have captivated fans and the media alike. However, one actress stands out, not only for her talent but also for the constant attention her personal life received, sometimes overshadowing her film work. The Evergreen Rekha
We are referring to Bhanurekha Ganesan, popularly known as Rekha. She began her career as a child artist and eventually became a superstar. Born in 1954 to South Indian actors Gemini Ganesan and Pushpavalli, her parents never married, despite their long-term affair. They also had another daughter, Radha, born in 1955. Rekha's childhood was tumultuous, marked by an absent father who refused to acknowledge her. This contributed to her decision to keep her family background private until the mid-1970s. Despite these challenges, Rekha was destined for professional success.
Rekha made her film debut at the age of 12 in the Telugu movie 'Rangula Ratnam.' She later appeared in the Kannada film 'Operation Jackpot Nalli C.I.D 999' in 1969. That same year, she also acted in her first Hindi film, 'Anjana Safar,' which faced a ten-year delay due to censorship issues. Ultimately, her first Hindi film to be released was 'Sawan Bhadon' (1970), a major hit that established her as a rising star. Over her extensive career, Rekha has appeared in more than 180 films, including 'Umrao Jaan' (1981), 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar' (1978), 'Khoobsurat' (1980), Ijaazat' (1987), 'Khoon Bhari Maang' (1988), and 'Silsila' (1981). Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, she was among the top actresses in Hindi cinema. More About Rekha
In 1990, Rekha took marriage vows with Mukesh Aggarwal, an industrialist from Delhi and the owner of the kitchenware brand Hotline. Mukesh, who struggled with depression for a long time, took his own life just months after their wedding while Rekha was in London. This event deeply affected Rekha, leading her to remain single for the rest of her life. Rekha is a self-made individual with a remarkable career and a net worth exceeding Rs 300 crore, which includes luxury cars, a lavish bungalow valued at 100 crore in Mumbai, and various other assets.

Ammy Virk Breaks Silence On Replacing Diljit Dosanjh In Border 2: 'Haven't Got Any Call'
Last Updated: Border 2 became embroiled in controversy after FWICE wrote to the film's lead actor, Sunny Deol, to remove Diljit from the film. Ammy Virk's team has clarified that he has not been approached to replace Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2. Diljit Dosanjh is embroiled in a tough row due to the casting of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his film, amid stringent tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. Amid this, there is buzz that he has been removed from Border 2. A source from Ammy Virk's team told the Hindustan Times, 'These are just speculations. We haven't got any call from anyone as of now." The buzz surrounding Ammy's name came to the fore after a TOI report claimed that he has been approached to replace Diljit in Border 2. A source close to Border 2 production told TOI, 'Diljit has only filmed 3–4 scenes so far. The makers are considering replacing him, as it's still early enough to reshoot those portions without much hassle. The team is handling the situation directly, and Ammy Virk's name has come up during internal discussions." However, according to another piece of information obtained by Hindustan Times, there are no current plans to replace Diljit from Border 2. A highly-placed source close to the production said, 'There is no plan to replace or remove Diljit from Border 2. His casting was confirmed nearly nine months ago, long before the recent unfortunate incidents. Nearly half the film has already been shot, and any replacement at this stage would be logistically unfeasible." Border 2 became embroiled in this controversy after FWICE wrote to the film's lead actor, Sunny Deol, to remove Diljit from the film. FWICE wrote, 'We write to you with the deepest respect and admiration for your longstanding service to both the Indian film industry and the nation. Your portrayal of valiant soldiers and national heroes in iconic films like Border, Gadar, and Indian has not only entertained but profoundly inspired generations." They wrote, 'Your commitment as a public representative further stands as a testament to your patriotic values and unwavering dedication to the country. It is in this light that we express our grave concern regarding your association with Mr Diljit Dosanjh in the forthcoming film Border 2. Mr Dosanjh's recent professional choice to cast Pakistani actress Hania Aamir-who has openly posted anti-India content on her social media platforms, especially in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack-has deeply disturbed the sentiments of our industry and the wider national community." 'Your esteemed presence in a film titled Border 2, which symbolises national pride and sacrifice, alongside someone who has chosen professional ambition over patriotism, sends a conflicting and distressing message to the very public that has always viewed you as a symbol of nationalism. On behalf of scores of members of our federation and stakeholders across the Indian film industry, we sincerely appeal to you to reconsider your association with Mr. Dosanjh for this project," they also mentioned.
