Detroit teen heading to trial for shooting 13-year-old at bus stop
A judge bound a 16-year-old girl over for circuit court, sending her to trial for four felony counts after she shot a boy at a bus stop.
The victim testified in court on Tuesday during the teen defendant's preliminary exam.
The accused shooter was charged with felony firearm and assault counts.
(FOX 2) - A 16-year-old charged in the nonfatal shooting of a teenage boy at a bus stop in Detroit had her case bound over for circuit court after a judge found enough evidence to send it to trial.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office charged the female defendant with several felonies including assault with intent to murder after she was arrested in April.

On Tuesday, a 13-year-old boy appeared in court to testify against a teenager accused of shooting him in the leg and rear on April 23.
He was with his friend at a bus stop near 7 Mile and Gilchrist when he was struck, testifying in court before footage of the incident was shown.
"I was laying there and my cousin had ran down the street and that's when he called the police," he told the court during the preliminary exam.
The shooting led to the arrest of two people, including the 16-year-old charged with pulling the trigger.
He also told the court he had never seen or spoken with either of the girls who were eventually arrested.

The judge bound her over for circuit court on four of the six counts.
His decision followed security footage from a nearby Project Green Light location that was played, showing the shooting.
A Detroit police officer positively identified the defendant during the exam.

According to the the probable cause statement, it is believed Winddmueller had been actively 'avoiding contact with law enforcement' before prosecutors filed for the felony charge on Thursday. Detroit police search for suspect accused of damaging woman's car at gas station
The Detroit Police Department is searching for an individual accused of damaging a woman's car on Wednesday at a gas station. The incident happened at about 3:26 p.m., Aug. 6, in the 19300 block of W. Seven Mile Road. Police say the suspect allegedly broke the rear wiper arm off the 55-year-old woman's 2025 Ford Escape. Police say the individual then got in a black sedan with a male driver and left the gas station. Police say the gas station is part of the city's Project Green Light, meaning there are cameras installed at the location that connect to DPD's headquarters. Police released photos of the individual and the suspect vehicle. Detroit police did not release any additional information on the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call DPD's eighth precinct at 313-596-5840 or Crime Stoppers at 800-Speak Up.

State investigation targets St. Louis County Executive's office
CLAYTON, Mo. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol showed up unannounced to the St. Louis County Executive's office on Monday to gather evidence as part of a state investigation. 'The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is completing an investigation at the request of the Missouri Attorney General's Office,' Lt. Eric Brown, assistant director of the MSHP Public Information Division, said. But MSHP or the Attorney General's office did not say what they were investigating. St. Louis County Councilwoman Rita Heard Days says she is also in the dark. FOX 2 reported back in April that the county executive was billed about $5,000 to pay for Prop B postcards; the ballot measure that would give the county council the ability to remove department heads.
