OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Cydney Sanders hit two home runs and four-time defending national champion Oklahoma beat Oregon 4-1 on Sunday night to reach the Women's College World Series semifinals and eliminate the Ducks.
Sanders' two-run homer in the third put the Sooners up 3-1, and her solo shot in the fifth made it 4-1. Isabela Emerling hit a solo home run for the Sooners (52-8).
Dezianna Patmon's homer provided the only run for Oregon.
Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso got the win against Oregon coach Melyssa Lombardi, a longtime assistant for her with the Sooners.
Oklahoma will play Texas Tech in the semifinals on Monday for the right to play in the best-of-three championship series. The Sooners will need to beat the Red Raiders and star pitcher NiJaree Canady twice to advance in the double-elimination format, while the Red Raiders will need just one win to play for the national title for the first time.
Oklahoma's Sam Landry earned the win on Sunday in 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. She allowed two hits, struck out six and walked one. Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering each had two hits for the Sooners.
Oregon (54-10) won the Big Ten regular-season championship in its first year in the league.

So if you have multiple family members using a towel (like hand towels), it needs to be washed on the third or fourth use. Also, the condition of the person using the towel matters too. If they're sick, toss it in the laundry after one use. If it's flu season, it's best that every family member have their own towel -- even if they aren't exhibiting symptoms -- to prevent the potential spread of germs. How often you wash towels also depends on how they're dried after usage. If towels find themselves on the floor, the lack of air circulation will cause bacteria to grow quickly. To prolong the life of your towel, be sure to place damp towels on a towel rack. Better yet, crack open a window or turn on the fan to reduce moisture in the room. The Infection Control department of Mid-Western Regional Hospital of Ennis, Ireland, recommends washing towels in water that is at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) or more to kill bacteria. So if you have a sanitize mode on your washing machine, use it. If not, you may consider raising the temperature on your water heater while washing that load. Be sure young children are supervised around sinks, tubs and showers while you do laundry, though, to prevent burns. And, before you reach for the fabric softener, don't. Formula 1® racing is about to get even more popular, thanks to the upcoming F1® The Movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris and the Cadillac Formula 1® team's debut in 2026. Only one fashion brand, Tommy Hilfiger, has starring roles in both. The clothing brand's sponsorship for the Apple Original Films' racing flick produced by Jerry Bruckheimer was announced in March. Now, PVH Corp.'s Tommy Hilfiger, the American preppy brand founded in 1985, is announcing its role as the official apparel partner for the new motorsports team. Founder and principal designer Tommy Hilfiger, whose formative years involved a former F1 racetrack, parlayed love for the fast-paced sport and fashion with several racing partnerships: Team Lotus in 1991, then Ferrari and Mercedes-AMG F1TM️, to brand collaborations with driver Sir Lewis Hamilton. The global fashion powerhouse will play a key apparel role in the first new team to join the pinnacle sport since 2016. The tie-up marks the new F1 race team's first official partner announcement. The products include an official team's kit—to dress drivers, pit crews, paddock staff, team car constructors, management—and sport-inspired fanwear collections. The drop is timed to the March 2026 Formula 1 season and available in Tommy Hilfiger stores globally and select partner distribution. Lewis Hamilton became Tommy Hilfiger Men's global brand ambassador and created five Tommy X Lewis collections during their six-year partnership. It coincided with the TommyNow "Drive" show during Milan Fashion Week that involved a race car on a runway. The Tommy x Gigi collection and sporty racing motifs also ran the track. Three of Hamilton's joint-record seven World Drivers Championships occurred during the six-year period. George Russell, another Mercedes team racer to join the Tommy Hilfiger universe, also regularly sported the clothes for appearances on and off the track. "Lewis expressing himself through fashion helped shift the spotlight beyond the track as he became a style icon," Hilfiger said. The collaboration happened before fashion existed in motorsport, and Hamilton's gusto for dressing up inspired other drivers to up the style ante, typically choosing Tommy Hilfiger. EXCLUSIVE: FBI Director Kash Patel's efforts to help carry out the Trump administration's immigration agenda have led to the bureau making 10,553 arrests since January. That figure, included in FBI data reviewed exclusively by Fox News Digital, reflects the total number of immigration-related arrests the bureau has assisted the Department of Homeland Security with making since Jan. 20, 2025. Recent arrests involving the FBI have included, for instance, an operation at the end of May on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. The FBI aided ICE in arresting about 32 people on the two islands, including an alleged member of the MS-13 gang and a man named Luciano Pereira Deoliveira, who had pending child rape and pornography charges, according to the data. Patel has also periodically highlighted these arrests on social media, including the FBI's capture of Harpreet Singh in April. The FBI's Sacramento field office investigated Singh, who was wanted in India for alleged ties to terrorism and whom authorities say entered the U.S. illegally in 2022. The data comes as Patel has faced media scrutiny for the dramatic shakeup at the bureau during the past four months, which has involved ousting senior officials and other employees or attempting to relocate them to new field offices. Some reports say many agents and employees have been reassigned at times to help the DHS with immigration enforcement. Patel adviser Erica Knight said the bureau's priorities have changed to arresting allegedly criminal immigrants in part because of the surge in illegal migration during the Biden administration. "With over 10,000 immigration-related arrests, the Bureau under the direction of Director Patel is making it clear, it's not turning a blind eye to the border crisis, it's targeting the violent cartels and criminal networks that are exploiting it," Knight said. "This is the direction Americans have been demanding, and the Bureau is delivering on the promise to put safety and sovereignty first." Of the roughly 38,000 employees at the FBI, 13,192 have been tasked at some point since January with working on immigration enforcement, according to the data. Employees include both agents and support staff. The most recent week of data showed the highest number of employees working on immigration tasks were concentrated in the Los Angeles field office, followed by the Philadelphia, Houston, and San Antonio field offices. Although a statistic-rich agency, the FBI has no prior recent data of agents and employees aiding DHS with arrests through any formal effort. Under Patel, the FBI has launched interagency operations, such as one he and Attorney General Pam Bondi showcased in Virginia in March when announcing the arrest of an alleged top member of MS-13 in the state. The Virginia Homeland Security Task Force brought together state and federal law enforcement agencies to address transnational organized crime and immigration enforcement. U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert of Virginia said during a press conference at the time of the arrest that the task force had made 342 arrests, "many of them with illegal status" and 81 with "gang or transnational crime affiliation." The DOJ charged the MS-13 leader with a gun charge but later moved to dismiss the charge and instead deport him. A retired FBI agent who worked in the bureau for two decades told Fox News Digital that his understanding from interacting with a handful of agents is that some are likely to "grumble about" the new immigration enforcement work, while others view it as necessary to address the recent years' influx of migrants into the country. "The fact that the bureau is helping out on this stuff now is just because it's unusual times," the retired agent said. "We've never had a presidential administration … import 9 million potential threats into its country, or whatever that number is, so the FBI having to get involved in this stuff is unusual, but it's also necessary." "I think it was inevitable the FBI does get involved, but the trick is they've got to juggle helping out DHS and also tending the farm," he said. The retired agent also said the bureau "brings a lot to the table that these other agencies just don't have," such as new sources, databases, and skill sets. He also said the work can be beneficial for the FBI because of the intelligence-gathering opportunity it presents. "I would hope they're exploiting every single one of these guys, clearly debriefing them and finding out what they know and who they know," he said.
