ISASAC 2025 wraps up innovations in industrial automation
The ISA Saudi Automation Conference (ISASAC) 2025 has solidified its position as a leading platform for industrial automation and digital transformation.
Held from May 4 to 6 at the Kempinski Al Othman Hotel in Al Khobar, KSA, the event was organised by the ISA Saudi Arabia Section and sponsored by Aramco, bringing together a dynamic gathering of industry leaders, professionals, and technology innovators.
Guided by the theme "Autonomous: Vision to Reality," the conference delved into the implementation of autonomous technologies across various industries.
The event opened with a keynote address delivered by Thamer Al Qarawi, Director at Aramco, on behalf of Walid Al Naeem, VP and Chief Engineer at Aramco, and Sam Armani, SVP of Business Development at mimik.
Their remarks set the tone for three dynamic days of thought leadership and technical exchange, centered on the future of automation, data analytics, AI-driven optimisation, and industrial cybersecurity.
ISASAC 2025 featured a packed agenda of technical sessions, expert panels, and a technology exhibition showcasing the latest innovations.
The event attracted participants from a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas and digital technology, fostering valuable cross-industry collaboration and dialogue.

Kidana completes first phase of tent project in Mina
Saudi-based Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, has successfully completed the first phase of its double-storey tent project at Mina in the Makkah province, representing approximately 75% of the total project carried out in partnership with the private sector. During the Hajj season, approximately 8,000 pilgrims from various Hajj packages, both domestic and international, are expected to use the site, it added. According to Kidana, this limited deployment will serve as a critical test of the project's effectiveness and its suitability for meeting the diverse needs of pilgrims, potentially paving the way for expansion across the holy sites. The full project is scheduled for completion by next year's Hajj season, with an expected capacity of up to 20,000 pilgrims. The double-storey tent initiative is set to significantly enhance the quality of accommodation services in the holy sites, enriching the pilgrim experience by providing a safe and organized residential environment that supports their well-being and meets diverse needs.
