According to his complaint, he was promised significant returns but never received any share of the profits despite investing over Rs 1.5 crore. In July 2018, Vishal was officially named a producer of the movie after depositing approximately Rs 32.6 lakh from his and his brother's firm into a range of accounts, with a promise of 50 percent of the profits. After that, he put in an additional Rs 1.25 crore on the project. Vishal Singh alleges fraud and death threats Vishal Singh stated that even after the movie was completed, he was never provided his share of the profits. Things escalated when, according to Vishal's lawyer Ashish Singh , actor Pawan Singh threatened to kill Vishal when he demanded payment of dues. Vishal later approached the local police and the police commissioner, and they did not take any steps, so he sought relief from the court. Subsequently, on August 13, 2025, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-II of Varanasi ordered that a formal FIR be filed under fraud provisions against Pawan Singh and others.
