Who is Nakscije Miftari?

Nakscije Miftari, a German of Kosovan origin, is the ex-girlfriend of Brueckner.
She was living in the German town of Braunschweig when she first met the convicted paedophile.
After moving to Portugal with Brueckner in 2014, Nakscije was deported back to Germany less than a year later.
Nakscije's upbringing and career aren't widely reported, although she is trying to rebuild her life after leaving Brueckner, who is believed to have kidnapped Madeleine.
Despite this Brueckner, known as Christian B denies abducting the British toddler.
As of May 2025, Nakscije is 29 years old.
When did Nakscije Miftari date Christian Brueckner?

Nakscije met Brueckner in 2013, when she was only 17 years old, at a kiosk in Braunschweig.
She would regularly visit the kiosk to buy sweets, where she met the 'charming and generous' owner, Brueckner.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Nakscije said: 'The first time I saw him, he was on his mobile phone at the kiosk, he got off the phone and said, 'Hello lady, how can I help you?' I was surprised as no one called me a lady before.
'He asked me to have a look and choose what I wanted. Then, when I asked him how much I should pay, he said, 'Nothing, a lady doesn't have to pay in my kiosk.'
Despite the gap, the pair began dating, and Nakscije even considered marrying the German until their relationship turned violent.
The violence began after Nakscije discovered child pornography on his mobile phone and laptop, much of it featuring blonde girls.
After confronting Brueckner about the videos - some of he even featured in - he launched a physical attack on her.
She added: 'I asked him about the videos and pictures, and that's when he punched me. I fell down the stairs and was unconscious for about ten minutes.'
Ms Miftari and her mother reported the assault to police, which led to officers raiding Brueckner's flat.
They recovered electronic equipment which was later revealed to contain 391 child porn photographs and 68 videos, including images of Brueckner abusing the five-year-old daughter of one of his previous girlfriends in a park.
Despite her mother's pleas, Nakscije remained in contact with Brueckner while he fled to Portugal to escape being arrested.
He was eventually returned to Germany on a European arrest warrant in 2017 and was later given a 15-month prison term for abusing the five-year-old.

While serving his prison sentence, German Police announced that Brueckner had become the lead suspect in the Madeleine McCann case.
But the authorities lacked any evidence to charge the German with the crime, but Nakscije's breakthrough testimony is the first to include Brueckner stating he was near the crime scene.
Madeleine vanished from her family's holiday apartment while her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, were dining with friends at a nearby tapas restaurant.
Nakscije recalled Brueckner falling silent when the subject of Madeleine's abduction was raised by friends during a party in early 2014 at their flat in Braunschweig.
She said: 'I remember he made no answer to the question. After they went, I asked about Maddie, as I did not know anything about her
'I asked him about it and he said, 'I know about Maddie, I was near the hotel at the time. I was living in the area at the time. I am not going to say anything more. I am not a stupid guy, I am a businessman.'
German police have established that Brueckner, who denies any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance and has refused to speak to police or prosecutors, was living in the Algarve.
Mobile phone signals show he was near the Ocean Club resort on the evening of May 3, 2007.
Nakscije continued: 'I have no feelings anymore for Christian.
'I have heard so much about him in the past year and I was always hoping it was not true, even today.'
Brueckner is currently in prison serving a seven-and-a-half-year prison term for the rape of an American pensioner in Praia da Luz in 2005.

Aristocrat killer who forced candle down victim's throat spotted on dating apps

Art gallery owner Bennet von Vertes brutally murdered 23-year-old British graduate Alex Morgan with a candlestick in a Swiss villa - but is now said to be popping up on dating apps An aristocrat who brutally murdered his victim by shoving a candlestick down his throat has been found searching for love on dating apps. Art gallery owner Bennet von Vertes killed Alex Morgan in a Swiss villa in 2014. He was later handed a 12 year jail sentence for the savage attack, which saw him beat the 23-year-old British graduate with a candelabra, stab him with glass and force a candle down his throat. Now Alex's mum Katja Faber says she has been sent pictures of her son's killer trying to find love after a string of women alerted her to his profiles on dating apps. ‌ ‌ Katja told the Standard: "It's quite extraordinary that someone on parole for such serious crimes can wander about the world as if he had done nothing." Alex was born in London but studied at Gordonstoun near Elgin, Scotland for several years, before meeting his killer at Regent's University London, then known as Regent's College. His mum had moved to Switzerland, and when he went to visit her in December 2014, he was invited by Von Vertes to his family's empty villa after a night out, reports the Daily Record. There, Alex suffered more than 50 injuries in the brutal and prolonged attack, and was pronounced dead the following morning. During his trial, Von Vertes claimed Alex was the aggressor - but he did not show any defensive injuries, suffering only one cut to his finger. ‌ He was found guilty of intentional homicide but the case was sent back to court in 2019 for appeal, where Von Vertes claimed he was so high on drugs he believed Alex was a green alien. The killer was temporarily transferred to an enclosed rehab facility, but after another appeal by Katja, he was again found guilty of intentional homicide. The Supreme Court denied Von Vertes's final appeal in 2023. He was also found guilty of raping a woman in a London hotel. ‌ But last year, Von Vertes was released on full parole - and Katja, who now lives on a farm in Spain and helps other families suffering grief, was recently sent images of Von Vertes on dating apps from two women. She was also contacted by a third woman. One image shows Von Vertes with an AirPod in his ear and the other is of him standing in front of a set of mailboxes. It came after one woman said unwittingly went on a date with Von Vertes while he was on day release from prison, describing him as "verbally abusive" and claiming he had boasted about serving time in prison for killing someone. She said he had used the pseudonym Benjamin Schwarz when she met him on the app.

Hollyoaks confirms who killed Dennis Savage - and it wasn't Clare or Banks

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday's (June 10) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm. An unexpected twist in the tale of who killed Dennis Savage (Joe Tracini) has confirmed that the murderer is none other than – drum roll please – Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield). Dennis, who was a fan-favourite, featured on-screen between 2011 and 2014, with a brief comeback 2018. However, according to Dodger Savage (Danny Mac), who staged a comeback earlier this year after a decade, Dennis was killed after he was injured in a hit-and run, with Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) driving the car in question. Though he is believed to have survived the incident, Dennis subsequently went missing, with Dodger believing that DI Banks (Drew Cain) and wife Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) were to blame for his murder. The criminal power couple, as fans know, adopted Tori (Harriet O'Shea), who was previously in the care of Dennis. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Feeling some semblance of guilt for her role in the trafficking operation, Grace Black (Tamara Wall) opted to give Tori back to the Blakes. Tori's arrival at the flat put Jez on edge, particularly because of the USB file containing recordings of his therapy sessions with Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows). It subsequently came to light that the reason for his caginess was due to the fact that he killed Dennis – which was confirmed via a close-up of the book he keeps track of his victims in, with a picture of Dennis included. Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), meanwhile, was suspicious of Jez's behaviour and thus started to investigate, getting dangerously close to the truth. Jez, however, covered his tracks by claiming that – on the therapy recordings – he confessed his true love for Lib. More Trending Taken aback, Lib was in shock, but passion soon followed, with her and Jez sleeping together. The Blake family dynasty continues to get even more complicated!
