Two fighting for their lives after canal bridge crash in Sutton Coldfield
Two people are fighting for their lives after a two-car horror crash in Sutton Coldfield.
The collision happened on the canal bridge in Bodymoor Heath Road, near Dog Lane junction, at around 6.45pm yesterday, May 4.
A man and a woman involved in the collision - both in their 20s - were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Police said three other occupants in the same car, a white Audi A3, were treated for injuries not thought to be life-threatening at this time.
The vehicle had collided with a blue Audi Q6.
The occupants of the second car suffered minor injuries.
Warwickshire Police has urged anyone with information about this incident to contact the force.
A force spokesperson said: "We're appealing for witnesses after a two-car collision left two people in a critical condition in hospital.
"The collision occurred on the canal bridge in Bodymoor Heath Road near the junction with Dog Lane at around 6.45pm yesterday.
"Following the collision a man and woman – both in their 20s – were taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain in a critical condition.
"Three other occupants of the car were treated for injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.
"The five of them were travelling in a white Audi A3 when it collided with a blue Audi Q6. The occupants of the second car suffered minor injuries."
Sergeant Dave Ruddy added: 'We've launched an investigation to establish exactly what caused this collision that has left two people in a critical condition.
'At this time, we don't believe anyone witnessed the collision, but we're keen to hear from anyone who saw either car in the moments before it occurred.
"I'd ask anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to get in touch with us.'

Teenage motorcyclist critically injured in crash

Road reopens after man hurt in lorry and van crash
A section of the A46 in Warwickshire has reopened after it was closed for several hours following a serious crash between a lorry and a van. In an update at about 13:00 BST, National Highways said the road southbound between the A45 for Coventry and the A452 Kenilworth had reopened. A man in his 20s, a passenger in the van, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, not believed to be life-threatening, Warwickshire Police said. The driver of the van was also taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious, West Midlands Ambulance Service added. Body found in search for missing dad in reservoir
A body has been found in a reservoir during the search for a man after a boat capsized. It is believed to be the man who fell into the water with his son at Draycote Water, near Rugby, on Thursday afternoon. The man's teenage son was rescued by two members of the public and was not injured. Warwickshire Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious. An "intensive" search operation took place at the 240-hectare (600-acre) reservoir on Thursday, with specialist search tactics and technology used, said the force. An update on the search was put out shortly before 23:45 BST on Friday. Chief Inspector Angus Eagles said: "Our thoughts are very much with the man's family at this incredibly difficult time and I would ask that their privacy continues to be respected. "I don't underestimate the impact this tragic incident and the large-scale search operation will have had on local people and businesses. "Thank you all for your patience and understanding while our officers worked tirelessly to find the man." Chief Insp Eagles also thanked Warwickshire Fire and Rescue, Warwickshire Search and Rescue, West Mercia Search and Rescue, Avon Fire and Rescue Service, West Mercia Police and Severn Trent. He said they had all played an "integral role" in supporting the extensive search efforts. A spokesperson for Draycote Water said it would remain shut on Saturday, having been closed since the incident. This includes the sailing club, fishing club and restaurant.
