Victor Boniface stance is causing problems for Bayer Leverkusen

Advertisement B04 are now hopeful that they can fetch around €50m for the striker, but there's a catch. Boniface no longer wishes to leave Leverkusen. Bayer Headaches It's an early headache in the transfer window for B04 and new head coach Erik ten Hag. The plan this summer was to keep Czech international Patrik Schick, offload Boniface, and bring in a new backup forward. The forward's agent, Emefie Aneke Atta, has explained to Bild the Nigerian's situation and stance: 'Victor has ended the season after his trip to the national team. He's on vacation now, will train hard during his vacation, and then return for preseason. There's a new coach, a new setup, but still a very good team that's back in the Champions League. Victor and I have never discussed a transfer.' Internal talks will now take place as to what the club should do next. What's more, expect ten Hag to have a big say on how this plays out. The Backup Striker in Question Should Boniface leave B04 this summer, the club have their eyes set on Christian Kofane from Albacete Balompié in Spain's second tier. The 18-year-old Cameroonian would cost Leverkusen just €5m, having scored 8 goals in 20 appearances last campaign. Advertisement However, with Boniface's stance, all this now hangs in the balance. Football transfer rumours: Garnacho off to Villa? Spurs in for Mbeumo?
Alejandro Garnacho will be allowed to leave Manchester United this summer if the price is right. One surprising potential suitor is Aston Villa, who could make a move for the winger. They took Marcus Rashford on loan from Old Trafford last season, revitalising his career somewhat in the progress, so Garnacho might feel it is a move in the right direction away from the current dead end. It will be a busy summer at United as Ruben Amorim attempts to assemble a squad that has the vague chance of fitting into his 3-4-3 constraints. One key area where improvement is required is centre forward. A potential plan to source an actual goalscorer could see United offer up Joshua Zirkzee to Napoli as part of a deal for Victor Osimhen. There could, however, be some very serious competition for the Nigerian as Liverpool might also fancy a nibble. 'If the price isn't right, then he'll just stay with us. We don't have to sell Hugo,' said the Frankfurt CEO Markus Krösche. The 22-year-old defender struggled for regular minutes under Arne Slot last season but the homegrown centre-back is still valued at £40m around Anfield. Thomas Frank is now officially the new Tottenham head coach. When a manager moves from one club to another, there is always a few rumours that he will take some of his favourites from his previous employer with him. Man United ready to rival Liverpool and Chelsea for forward
Manchester United are prepared to rival Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike. Ekitike is in demand after a brilliant season in the Bundesliga, in which the 22-year-old scored 22 goals in all competitions and provided 12 assists. Advertisement His performances helped Frankfurt to Champions League qualification and earned Ekitike a place in the Bundesliga's Team of the Season. Chelsea held talks over a potential transfer before the Club World Cup deadline, while Liverpool are also interested in the Frenchman. Sky Germany claim that Manchester United have now entered the race and have 'expressed concrete interest' in signing Ekitike. Ruben Amorim wants to bring in a centre-forward, though a deal could hinge on funds recouped from sales. United have completed the £62.5m signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are pushing to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for a similar fee. Advertisement Sales will be required to fund significant further business, with suitors being sought for Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho. Frankfurt have placed an asking price of €100m (£85.1m) on Ekitike and are under no pressure to sell. The forward is contracted until 2029, while Frankfurt's qualification for the Champions League and €70m January sale of Omar Marmoush to Manchester City has strengthened their position. Amorim is targeting a forward as United look to bounce back from their worst season since 1974. The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League table and scored just 44 goals. Only Everton and the three relegated teams scored fewer goals than United in 2024/25.
