Malaysia granted sovereignty over Bahrain cloud subscriber data
Lauding the move, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed underscored the growing Bahraini-Malaysian relations, describing the cooperation between the two countries as a key milestone that fosters strategic collaboration in the digital economy, knowledge exchange, and digital infrastructure development.
He reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to strengthening international cooperation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and advancing the digital ecosystem toward becoming a competitive, future-ready nation.
This initiative reflects global confidence in Bahrain's legal, technical, and operational expertise in cloud computing, reinforcing its role as a trusted regional digital hub, he stated.
According to him this move highlights the strong partnership and mutual trust between the two nations, and affirms Bahrain's commitment to data sovereignty and transparency, aligning with the highest regulatory standards and its vision for digital transformation.
Bahrain is committed to building secure digital infrastructure that protects rights and ensures privacy in line with national legislation and global best practices.
Al Qaed said that this decision complies with Decree No. (56) of 2018 on the provision of cloud computing services to foreign entities, as well as all related ministerial regulations.

24 new eServices added to MyGov mobile app in second phase
Twenty-four new government services have been added to the MyGov mobile app, which is available through the eGovernment Apps Store, This was annnounced by His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive. The services cover a range of sectors, including the Interior, Civil Defense, Criminal Investigation, Traffic, Transportation and Telecommunications, and Electricity and Water. The ID card issuance service has also been enhanced with the introduction of an organ donation icon option, as well as expanded support features such as payment notifications and emergency alerts. In line with government directives and with the follow-up of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), iGA's Chief Executive said that the work is continues to expand the digital services available on MyGov app, aiming towards the apps strategy merger direction into three primary platforms: 'MyGov' for individuals, 'AlTajir' for businesses and investors, and 'Visit Bahrain' for visitors. Postal services The Government Directory & Bahrain post app will soon be discontinued after merging its postal services. Al Qaed also highlighted that Electricity & Water app services are integrated with MyGov app, while eTraffic app services currently in progress, which both apps will be discontinued, along with the Student Exam Results app, with services offered via alternative channels. He said that these changes reinforce MyGov app as the unified national platform facilitating convenient access to digital government services.

HRH Crown Prince Reaffirms Bahrain's Support for Palestinian Rights
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reaffirmed Bahrain's unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that these rights remain deeply rooted in the hearts of all Arabs. He called for unified international efforts to achieve a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian cause. The Crown Prince highlighted the strong brotherly ties and close cooperation between Bahrain and Palestine, under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. HRH Prince Salman made these remarks while receiving Palestinian Interior Minister Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh and his accompanying delegation at Al Riffa Palace. The meeting was attended by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and senior officials. During the meeting, the Palestinian Interior Minister conveyed President Abbas' greetings and best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity. In return, Prince Salman asked the Minister to convey his greetings, along with those of His Majesty the King, to President Abbas and the people of Palestine, wishing them continued advancement and stability. The Crown Prince reiterated Bahrain's firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause, stressing the importance of halting escalation, protecting civilians, releasing hostages, and continuing humanitarian efforts in Gaza. He also commended the active humanitarian role played by friendly and brotherly countries in this regard. The discussions also touched on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of security, and reviewed the latest regional and international developments. Minister Ziad Hab Al-Reeh expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for Bahrain's continued support of Palestine and for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
