Hugo lived in Guernsey for 15 years and in St Peter Port he wrote novels including Les Miserables, Toilers of the Sea, The Man Who Laughs, The Legend of the Ages and Ninety-Three at Hauteville House.The States Offices building earmarked to become the centre overlooks the harbour where Hugo first arrived in 1855 after three years in Jersey.

Afterwards, he told the crowd, 'It's great to be here. This song goes out to all the beautiful ladies in the house,' as he began signing 'Lost Without U.' The 48-year-old took the stage in a svelte white suit with no shirt underneath and paired it with multiple gold necklaces and his usual black sunglasses His third song, 'Let's Stay Together,' had his female fans swooning over Robin as he slow danced onstage by himself and grooved to the love song. Transitioning into upbeat music for his fourth and final song, he closed his mini concert with the hit 'Blurred Lines,' which became the talk of 2013 when he came out with the music video featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams - and later thrust the model starring in it, Emily Ratajkowski, into the spotlight. It was when he made his way into the crowd, however, that his fans went crazy, with the singer performing the pop melody in the middle of the dance floor.
