Fitbit Labs opens three new AI experiments that Apple Watch fans might envy
Fitbit has opened the doors to three fresh experiments in Fitbit Labs, aiming to turn your fitness tracker into a smarter health companion. Starting today, eligible Android and iPhone users in the U.S. will see a Labs card in the Fitbit app. From there you can hop on the waitlist for Medical record navigator, while two more tools, Symptom checker and Unusual trends, are on the way in the next few weeks.All three use Google's Gemini model to take raw numbers and turn them into plain language advice. Furthermore, they are not approved to diagnose or treat any condition, and you can leave a study at any time, which deletes the data you shared.

Apple's WWDC25 project codenames signal that glass is in and flat design is out
WWDC 2025 will be upon us tomorrow, and there's lots to look forward to. One of the most talked about reveals that one could expect is Apple's preview of a major visual overhaul across its operating systems—and with it, reveal two names that signal where the company's design philosophy is headed: Liquid Glass and Glasswing. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Liquid Glass is the name of Apple's new user interface style debuting with iOS 26 and rolling out across iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and CarPlay later this year. The redesign brings a sleeker, more cohesive look with transparency, shimmer, and glass-like depth layered into toolbars and in-app controls. The goal is to create a unified visual identity across Apple's platforms while pushing the operating system design forward after more than a decade of flat second name, Glasswing , is what Apple is internally calling the iPhone it's developing for 2027. That model is expected to commemorate the iPhone's 20th anniversary with a radical new design featuring curved glass edges on all sides, ultra-thin bezels, and no cutout on the front display. The name references the glasswing butterfly, known for its nearly transparent wings, an image that aligns with Apple's long-term push toward visually seamless, glass-centric hardware. Google's Gemini now supports scheduled actions
Google's Gemini has today received support for scheduled actions. These work in the Gemini app, and allow you to "streamline routine tasks or receive personalized updates" directly from Gemini, Google says. You can ask it to perform a specific task at a specific time, or transform a prompt into a recurring action. There's a new Scheduled Actions page within Settings where you can manage these anytime. Google says you can wake up with a summary of your calendar and unread emails, or have Gemini write five ideas for your blog every Monday, or get updates on your favorite sports team, or ask Gemini to give you a summary of an award show the day it happens, but of course there are unlimited other uses beyond these examples. Do note that there is a caveat here, namely that scheduled actions are only available to those who subscribe to Google AI Pro or Ultra, as well as "qualifying Google Workspace business and education plans".
