Sam Thompson Pulls Out Of Soccer Aid Match After Louis Tomlinson Bump In
It's a nightmare scenario for any sane person – bumping into your recent ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend at a work function, or bumping into your new girlfriend's ex-boyfriend at a work function, or having your ex and new boyfriend bump into each other at a work function. What about when that work function is a televised charity football match? Even worse, we'd imagine. Although it was inevitable given that they were both on the bill, pictures of Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson training together for Soccer Aid have prompted a lot of chatter online. In December, Sam and his girlfriend of more than five years Zara McDermott quietly parted ways without so much as a joint Instagram statement – something that confused the many fans they'd acquired with their popular couples content on social media. Just over two months later in March, Zara was pictured out for dinner with former One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson. Zara and Louis' relationship has since been confirmed by their comments on each other's social media profiles and plenty of paparazzi-captured PDA. In June, training began for this year's Soccer Aid for UNICEF match, where a team of celebrities and football legends battle it out on the Old Trafford pitch in Manchester. It was founded by Robbie Williams in 2006 and raises money for children in need. The England vs World match is due to take place on Sunday 15 June and kicks off at 7.30pm. It will be available to watch live on ITV1 and ITVX. After Louis and Sam were spotted exchanging glances on the pitch on the first day of training, the news broke that Sam has pulled out due to injury. He completed a 260-mile Soccer Aid challenge earlier this month and has a string of injuries, including in his calf. 'I came here with high hopes and went to see Gary the physio and I can kick a ball from a standing start, but when it comes to like general chaos of playing competitive sport there's just no way,' he explained. 'I cant really run properly.' Sam will now be taking part in the capacity of coach. Ordering Louis around instead of passing the ball to him might be a better fit given the circumstances. All jokes aside, from the photos available, the pair seem to be cordial with each other and are getting on with the show. Sam has reportedly insisted there are 'no hard feelings' between them. Still joining Louis on the pitch for England is Steven Bartlett, Alex Brooker, Jermain Defoe, Toni Duggan, Sir Mo Farah, Angry Ginge (YouTuber), Tom Grennan, Bear Grylls, Joe Hart, Steph Houghton, Aaron Lennon, Dame Denise Lewis, Paddy McGuinness, Gary Neville, Sam Quek, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes and Jill Scott. The World team is made up of Noah Beck, Tony Bellow, Leonardo Bonucci, Tobi Brown, Martin Compston, Richard Gadd, Bryan Habana, Dermot Kennedy, Harry Kewell, Kaylyn Kyle, Gorka Marquez, Nadia Nadim, Livi Sheldon, Carlos Tevez, Edwin van der Sar, Billy Wingrove and Big Zuu and Nemanja Vidic. The match, at least for now, has been slightly overshadowed by the awkward bump in. Let's hope it's back on track by game day... and that Zara already had plans.

British teenage star Tiah Ayton opens up on embracing Katie Taylor comparisons and the bold social media message she sent to Eddie Hearn ahead of her professional debut
Tiah Ayton has been touted as British boxing's next big thing, and the comparisons to Irish icon Katie Taylor aren't just based on talent. Just like Taylor, Ayton took her shot by messaging promoter Eddie Hearn on Instagram, long before she was signed by Matchroom. Now, after years of waiting, the teenage prodigy is finally getting her chance - making her debut on June 21 after signing a multi-year deal with the promotional company. 'I literally messaged Eddie and said, "One day, can you sign me?"' Ayton laughs during her interview with Mail Sport. 'He never got back to me… but now I'm signed with him.' The full-circle moment came after Hearn watched her spar with former featherweight world champion Skye Nicolson. The Matchroom promoter tagged Ayton in a picture on Instagram, causing her message to resurface in their chat. 'He tagged me and saw the old message. It was funny. From me just asking him to sign me to now being signed.' The 18-year-old will make her highly anticipated professional debut on June 21 in Birmingham, stepping into the ring for the first time without a head guard - something she admits will be a new experience. 'I haven't sparred without one yet,' she says. 'But I'll have too much adrenaline to feel the punches anyway, so I'll be fine. I'm looking forward to it.' Ayton's journey to this moment has been anything but conventional. Starting out in kickboxing at just six years old, thanks to a childhood rivalry with her sister, she racked up over 300 fights before the age of 12. From there, she transitioned into Muay Thai, MMA, and eventually, boxing - admitting it was hard to stop herself from kicking during her first couple of sessions. 'At first it was hard,' she says of the switch. 'I kept thinking about kicking people when I was sparring. I had to tell myself, 'Tiah, this is boxing now—just punches.' But once I got into it, I started to love it.' It's not just Ayton's raw talent that's turning heads, it's her mindset. Undefeated as an amateur and with only three losses across all her combat sport ventures (the last one coming at age eight), she thrives under pressure. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Matchroom Boxing (@matchroomboxing) View this post on Instagram A post shared by tiah-mai (@tiahayton) 'I've always had pressure on me,' she says. 'Everyone's always thinking, "When's Tiah going to lose?" But I think only great people have pressure. I thrive off it.' To Ayton, the Katie Taylor comparisons aren't just hype, she embraces them. 'I like being compared to her. If I do half of what she's done, I'd be happy. She's amazing for women's boxing, and she's proved we can box just as well.' Her goals are crystal clear: she wants to fight at Madison Square Garden and headline at Ashton Gate in her hometown of Bristol. The 18-year-old is also aiming for undisputed world champion status and hopes to become a multi-weight titleholder. Off the canvas, Ayton enjoys downtime with her family, walking her Dogue de Bordeaux, and watching anime - something she plans to immortalise with a full tattoo sleeve. 'I guess that might surprise people,' she says, laughing. 'But I've got anime tattoos already, so I'm committed!' But at the heart of it all, Ayton is driven by a love for performing. 'I want fans to be entertained. I want them to enjoy watching me fight and enjoy the journey. I'm only young, I'll be around a long time.' That journey starts next weekend in Birmingham. And if her trajectory mirrors anything like Katie Taylor's, boxing fans better buckle up.

HOUSE THAT? Mould covered the bathroom of my new home – I felt sick but banished it in minutes with a single buy, it's the best BANISHING mould from your home can feel like a never-ending chore. From constant bleaching to pricey products that don't work, there's loads of stuff out there, but more often than not the mould returns. 2 Nicola applied Mould Magic over the grout in her bathroom Credit: Instagram 2 She said it's better than anything else she's tried to banish mould for good Credit: Instagram That was cleaning whizz Nicola's experience until she discovered a product that actually works and stops mould from coming back. Taking to Instagram, Nicole explained how the Mould Magic gel worked wonders in her new home. "If you haven't seen this before you need to get some, it works on so many different surfaces but I used it mainly on grout in the bathroom," Nicola explained. In the viral clip she showed what the bathroom looked like when she first moved in, and sure enough the walls were covered in mould. READ MORE ON MOULD WASH THIS I'm a cleaning expert, 35p hack to banish pink mould from your bathroom The formula is especially easy to apply because it comes in a tube with a nozzle designed to get into those hard to reach places. Not only that, but according to Nicola the formula is also non-drip, so you don't have to worry about it slipping and sliding away. After a couple of hours the product can then be wiped away, leaving your bathroom mould free. "The mould never comes back," the cleaning whizz added. Unsurprisingly, fellow cleaning fans were wowed by the before and after snaps of the bathroom. One commented on the clip: "It's brilliant for washing machines too." Our home is so mouldy mushrooms and flies infest walls - it's making us sick "Oo, thanks I'll be getting this," another said. "Omg we recently got mould in out shower and it's right in the grout so this will be great," a third chimed in. Meanwhile, others wanted to know if the product would work on painted walls and Nicola revealed she'd tried Mould Magic there too and was impressed with the results. The product can be bought online for as little as £9.95 too, so it won't break the bank. More mould cleaning tips and tricks Use household items If it's too late, and any condensation has had a chance to flourish and turn into mould, you can start removing it for nothing. Natalie, from Which?, said: "A few drops of washing up liquid mixed with warm water can work on smaller areas of mould on hard surfaces like walls or floors. "Use a sponge, cloth, or brush to work the soapy solution in small circular motions over the mould. "If you're trying to remove particularly stubborn mould, try a 1:1 solution of white vinegar and warm water and pour it into a spray bottle to target the affected area." If you've got a bit more in your budget, you can try buying mould or mildew remover from your nearest supermarket or retailer. You can get it as cheap as £1.20 from B&M or £2.50 from Dunelm, at the time of writing. Call in the professionals You can usually treat smaller patches of mould yourself, but if the problem has gotten out of hand, you might need to call someone in. Natalie said: "If you find new mould growing quickly in other areas of your home, or the affected area becomes too large to handle, it may be time to get professional help." Checkatrade says it costs £25-£35 per hour or £200-£400 per room to call someone in for mould removal. Meanwhile if you want a specialist to come and take a look to inspect for any mould, that will cost you around £50-£300.
