Gilding, 54, progressed past Dirk van Duijvenbode 11-5 to reach the World Matchplay of darts quarter-finals for just the second time in his career.

The English player was interviewed by Sky Sports on stage at Winter Gardens in Blackpool after his match.
However, his answer to the presenter's first question left both James and darts pros stunned.
Goldfinger said: "Thank you. I don't know what happened.
"I've spent two days in the hotel room, getting stiff and come up here today feeling absolutely awful and somehow it happened."
His answer left viewers stunned, with James revealing she was barely able to keep her composure in a social media post.
She said: "People asking how I kept a straight face….. I bloody didn't."
Stunned Glen Durrant - a three-time champion of Lakeside and winner of the Premier League in 2020 - posted: "What was that about Andrew Gilding / stiff / hotel room. I didn't quite catch it."
Meanwhile, two-time Women's Series winner Gemma Hayter said: "Spent two days in the hotel room getting stiff.
"Wonderfully worded Andrew Gilding," followed by a laughing emoji.
Another fan who was taken aback said: "Andrew Gilding spent two days in the hotel doing WHAT?!"
Continuing on his low-key prep for the tournament, Gilding added: "We went out for fish and chips but that's about it really..."
Asked what about Blackpool brings out the best in him, he said: "All the Goldfinger scarves. I've got a lot more support over the years."
On the support he was receiving from fans, the World No28 continued: "It's amazing. I can't believe it. Thump my chest for it."
Gilding concluded by saying he would not be watching the nights remaining games to discover his opponent, admitting he doesn't care who he plays next.
As it turns out, his next opponent will be reigning world champion Luke Littler.
The World No2 survived a major scare from Jermaine Wattimena to come back from 4-0 down in his second round clash.
Elsewhere, Gian van Veen is taking on James Wade and Stephen Bunting is facing Jonny Clayton.
Gerwyn Price will face the winner of Michael van Gerwen 's clash with Josh Rock.

But Sir Keir was not in attendance due to meeting with US President Donald Trump in Scotland. The President welcomed the PM and his wife Victoria to his golf course at Turnberry this afternoon for wide-ranging talks. However, Starmer did manage a phone call to the Lionesses while they were at the Downing Street garden to celebrate their Euros victory. A post shared on Sir Keir's social media showed the moment Sarina Wiegman and some of the Lionesses received a video call from the PM. He said: "Fantastic to see you all and welcome to Downing Street. I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to you and the whole team." The video-call lasted about five minutes and Wiegman could be heard saying "hello Keir, nice to see you", adding "it's lovely here". She then thanked him for calling and for supporting the team throughout the tournament. But trolls were quick to hit out against Sir Keir's phone call with some branding it "awkward" for the heroic Lionesses. PREGNANT Atomic Kitten songstress Liz McClarnon has revealed her gruelling IVF toll from feeling "broken" to her weight gain. The Eternal Flame vocalist, 44, revealed the happy news of her pregnancy in May after spending two decades trying to conceive. 10 10 10 A full cycle of IVF (in vitro fertilisation) takes around 3 to 6 weeks to complete. It usually follows 6 steps, depending on the type of treatment you're having. Taking to Instagram on Monday, Liz uploaded a series of snaps from the past few years which revealed her treatments with husband Peter Cho as well as the side effects of the medication. Liz captioned the video: "After 8 IVF cycles within 3 years, as you can imagine, I've been on hormones more often than not. "I just wanted to share how it can look. Sometimes normal and sometimes very not." Liz's video began with herself looking drained as she mused: "Sometimes you could tell." Then she cut to an energetic shot of herself captioned: "sometimes you couldn't." She then shared a video of Peter helping her with her injections on their first attempt at IVF, explaining that "life carried on as normal." As the cycle continued and she needed more injections, she confessed: "I started to gain weight... of course that didn't matter." Yet she admitted she ended up feeling "a little bit broken" as the cycle continued reports The Daily Mail. The video then showed Liz receiving her final injection and making one last trip to the fertility clinic where she was filmed with "the look of hope." "But by my third cycle, it was obviously very different. "When that one didn't work, I was really quite sick and I was in a dark hole." She said to MirrorOnline: "I'd put on so much weight but I didn't want to tell anyone why, because I didn't want the IVF to become my identity, my whole personality. What happens during IVF (in vitro fertilisation) A full cycle of IVF (in vitro fertilisation) takes around 3 to 6 weeks to complete. It usually follows 6 steps, depending on the type of treatment you're having. Your doctor should discuss the options with you and explain each of these steps before any treatment starts. You use an injection or nasal spray every day for 2 to 3 weeks to stop your ovaries producing eggs naturally. You'll have an ultrasound scan to check if the medicine has worked. Once your ovaries are no longer producing eggs, you'll inject yourself every day for 2 weeks with medicine that increases your egg supply. You'll have tests or scans to check how well it's working. A doctor at the clinic collects your eggs using a needle inserted through your vagina. This takes around 20 minutes and you'll be offered medicine that makes you sleepy (a sedative). Your partner is asked to give a sperm sample in a private room, usually while your eggs are being collected. If you're using donor sperm, it will be ready in the laboratory. The eggs are fertilised with the sperm in a laboratory. The clinic will call you the next day to let you know how many embryos have been made and how many they might be able to use. After a few days, an embryo is put in your womb using a thin tube inserted through your vagina. If you have more than 1 embryo, your doctor will discuss the risks and benefits of putting in more than 1 embryo. If any suitable embryos are left over, they may be frozen for future IVF attempts. The clinic will discuss this with you and let you know about any additional costs, such as embryo storage. "I was still doing shows and I'd see the comments online talking about me. 'I remember one said, 'She's getting really thick,' and others were like, 'She's unrecognisable.' "I tried to remember that those people didn't know what was happening, but it was hard. "I just felt broken after the third time, so we took a break before the wedding." Liz and her husband Peter got married two years ago in the Lake District. Yet towards the end of last year they suffered two tragic miscarriages. Happily, the couple are now on the road to being parents, with Liz taking precautions due to her age classifying it as a "high risk" pregnancy. BABY REVEAL Liz looked glowing in the clip posted to social media in May announcing her pregnancy to the world. The captions over the video read: "I've been keeping a secret from you, and I've mostly kept myself off social media because sometimes it was hard to smile. "But after years of sometimes quite painful IVF and dark times, I'm pregnant! "We feel like we've been given the world." Liz also wrote a heartwarming message next to the video, which read: "I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional so I thought I'd just hide behind this little announcement instead. "I just can't believe we're here. "So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. "I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with IVF and loss after so much hope. Horse racing tips: ‘He has a cracking record at the track' – Templegate's GIANT 20-1 NAP on day one of Glorious Goodwood
TEMPLEGATE tackles day one of Glorious Goodwood confident of giving the bookies a pasting with his top tips. Back a horse by clicking their odds below - and check out this 25-1 outsider who looks very dangerous after a break. Has a cracking record on the Sussex Downs with two wins and a host of excellent placed efforts on this tricky track. James Evans' flyer has dropped back to his last winning mark and showed plenty of heart when second in a tight finish at Pontefract last time. The ground was tacky in Yorkshire that day but he handles quicker conditions too. So this trip is ideal, he likes the track and is on a fair mark. The bookies are taking a chance by chalking him up around the 20-1 mark and he can go close under his capable 5lb claimer. DORSET (1.55 Goodwood, nb) This selection should be right at home on the south coast of England! The Aidan O'Brien hope is bred to be classy and looked full of promise when scooting in at The Curragh last month. He is proven over this trip and has much more to come. He was impressive when winning a Royal Ascot handicap and this longer trip should bring even more improvement. He can go close for the Gosdens who love this race. 1.20 GREY CUBAN clocked a massive personal best when scooting in at Chester last week and looks a fair price to go close again. The booking of Oisin Murphy takes the eye and he is best over this trip on fast or sticky ground. Five of the past six runnings of this have been won by a double-figure draw and even a 7lb rise in the weights doesn't dampen confidence. Jolly Jack Tar is improving with every run and looks the main danger. This is his turf debut for the Gosdens but he had plenty in hand when scoring at Chelmsford last time. He's up 9lb for that but stays and can progress again. Castle Cove is another coming here from a Chester win that was all the better as it came from stall 13. He's on the upgrade for William Haggas. English Oak ran well at Hamilton last time and will go close if seeing out this longer trip while improver Defiance lurks on a fair mark. 1.55 DORSET looked the latest future star off the Ballydoyle production line when stepping up from his debut to win impressively at The Curragh. As you'd expect he's from a high-class family and likes this trip. He should take another big step forward under Ryan Moore. Wathnan Racing snapped up Humidity just before his all-the-way win in the Chesham at Royal Ascot and he's another with plenty more to come. He looks the main threat. Zavateri clocked a good time when winning the July Stakes over 6f at Newmarket. He came from off a strong pace there and should enjoy going up in trip. He has a 3lb penalty but Eve Johnson Houghton continues in excellent form. Do Or Do Not came home with a real rattle for second in that race and will also appreciate this trip. Andab needs more after his Coventry Stakes fourth while Laureate Crown was impressive on his Ascot debut and could nick a place at decent odds. 2.30 NOBLE CHAMPION was impressive when winning the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. Being gelded over the winter has clearly worked wonders as he looked a different horse and clocked a decent time despite drifting across the track late on. He's proven over the trip and is open to plenty of improvement. Kinross still looks the main danger at the age of eight. He's won this twice and has been placed on his two other attempts. He was just behind Ten Bob Tony – who has an each-way shout here – at Haydock last time but is better off at the weights today and will have needed that comeback. His liking for the track is a major plus. Last year's winner Audience has been struggling but he's back from a little break and returning here may rekindle his flame. Quinault got the job done well at York last month at Group 3 level and looks a big price to make the frame over an ideal trip. Jonquil was a head second in the French Guineas before finding the drop to 6f too much last time. This in-between distance could be just right. Lake Forest has some decent form over this trip and is better than we saw at York last time out. 3.05 FRENCH MASTER put himself right in the picture for the Goodwood Cup when running away with the Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot last time. He won that competitive contest over 1m6f like a top-quality Cup horse in the making. He travelled nicely off the pace and had to come very wide around the home turn before picking up quickly along the short Ascot straight to score going away. He clearly has more on his plate here but that built on another promising victory over the same trip around here in May. That shows his liking for the track and moving up to two miles can unlock more improvement too. There's no doubt he needs a step forward but at this early stage of his career that's highly likely. Illinois sets the standard after his second in the Ascot Gold Cup last time to the gutsy Trawlerman. That was his first crack over two miles or more and he saw it out well enough, still finishing ahead of some useful marathon runners. He kicked off the season winning the Ormonde at Chester so he comes here without too many miles on the clock. The doubt about him has to be the track although handling the Roodee bodes well for taking to Goodwood and he has been a little uneasy in the market this week. That's largely because of a move for Aidan O'Brien stablemate Scandinavia who took the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket last time without breaking sweat. He was beaten just a length in the Queen's Vase before that and is another who looks suited to this trip. He's the Ballydoyle second string but still sets a pretty decent standard. Sweet William fans will hope eight line up as he has solid each-way claims at a track that really suits him. He won a big handicap here in 2023 and was second in this race to Kyprios 12 months ago and none of today's rivals are up to that standard. He can be relied on to give his running and a podium finish is highly likely. Sunway is interesting going back over a long trip after a fair run in the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot but needs more. Military Academy came up short at Listed level here last time and is likely to find this a bit too much. Trueshan isn't the horse he was and wants it much softer, while Dubai Future was a good if distant third in the Ascot Gold Cup last time and is getting on at the age of nine. 3.45 DREAM COMPOSER has a cracking record at Goodwood and looks a big price in a wide-open race. He's dropped to his last winning mark and went close at Pontefract last time. A repeat of that gives him a solid chance. Redorange was beaten just half a length in hot company at Ascot last time despite having the worst of the draw. That was after an excellent third at the Royal meeting and he's a threat. Adrestia finished two places ahead of him in that race and ran well in a Sandown Group 3 last time so is respected. Shagraan often runs well here and is another coming off a good spin in Group company. Regal Envoy won nicely twice at Windsor before misfiring at York and could bounce back under William Buick.
