New Delhi [India], June 24 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held a meeting with South Australia's Governor Frances Adamson in Delhi on Tuesday and discussed education, space, water, agriculture, energy and consular issues.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, in Delhi. During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the defence partnership between India and Australia.
Rajnath Singh thanked Australia for its unequivocal support to India's 'resolute response against the barbaric act of terror in Pahalgam.'

Trump had said, 'I did not like that Israel 'unloaded ' immediately after agreeing to ceasefire', and added, 'I am not happy with Iran either'. Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, said on Tuesday that, 'If the Zionist regime does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not violate it either', during a phone call with Malaysian prime minister Anwar Ibrahim. Just before the ceasefire had started, Israel had fired around 100 munitions targeting several sites in Tehran, as reported by AP. Earlier on Monday, Trump had announced a 'complete and total ceasefire' between Iran and Israel, phased over for 24 hours after which 'the war will be considered, ENDED!', as posted by him on his Truth Social platform. Data suggests that 28 people have been killed, with 1,347 affected in Israel. According to Iranian State TV, a high-profile nuclear scientist named Mohammad Reza Sedighi Saber had been killed in an Israeli strike early on Tuesday.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday alleged that the Bengali people from the state were being branded as Bangladeshis in some BJP-ruled states and were pushed to the neighbouring country. She claimed that migrant workers from Bengal are taken to other states due to their skills and then sent to Bangladesh for speaking the Bengali language. 'People from every section live in our country. Murali calls Tharoor's Modi praise ‘quite disgusting' in first open attack from Kerala
In the first open criticism from a senior Congress leader in his home State of Kerala, K. Muraleedharan on Tuesday targeted Shashi Tharoor over his recent praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling the remarks 'quite disgusting.' Addressing reporters, Mr. Muraleedharan said it was troubling that a member of the party's working committee would continue to praise a political rival, especially during election season. 'He is a member of the working committee. It is quite disgusting that a member of the working committee continues to praise the political opponent of the Congress,' he said. Mr. Muraleedharan's comments came a day after Mr. Tharoor, in a newspaper article, described Mr. Modi's 'energy, dynamism, and willingness to engage' as a 'prime asset' for India on the global stage, adding that the Prime Minister deserved greater support. Mr. Tharoor's praise for Mr. Modi came at a time when the Congress has consistently been attacking the BJP-led Centre over its foreign policy, alleging that Indian diplomacy is being 'shattered' and the country stands 'isolated' globally. Asked whether disciplinary action was needed against Mr. Tharoor, he replied, 'Whether action should be taken or not—let the high command decide and inform us.' Speaking in Thiruvananthapuram last week, Mr. Tharoor said he had differences of opinion with some in the party leadership but refused to speak about those in light of the Nilambur Assembly byelections. The veteran leader said the Congress, its values, and its workers are very dear to him.
