Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the State of Qatar HE Khaled Bader Al Mutairi has described his diplomatic tenure in Doha as a 'rich and fruitful experience both professionally and personally,' emphasizing that the ties between the two brotherly countries are 'deep-rooted and steadily advancing.'
Al Mutairi reflected on his three-year tenure in Qatar, stating that his experience in Qatar was exceptional by all measures. It was enriching not only professionally and diplomatically, but also on a personal and social level. Though he spent many years working abroad, his time in Qatar was unlike any other - he never once felt like a stranger, he said, adding that he lived here as though he were in Kuwait, surrounded by familiar warmth and genuine hospitality.
On Kuwaiti-Qatari relations, the ambassador affirmed that the two nations share a long-standing and strong bond that transcends diplomatic posts or ambassadors. He noted that the achievements made during his time in Qatar would not have been possible without the tremendous support from both leaderships, which greatly contributed to the success of our diplomatic mission and enabled the embassy to translate brotherly relations into tangible outcomes that serve the interests of both countries. QNA Doha The Attorneys' Admission Committee convened under the chairmanship of Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi to review the items on its agenda at its permanent headquarters in the Ministry of Justice building on Thursday. Foremost among the agenda was the swearing-in of five new lawyers before the committee and their registration in the list of practicing lawyers after completing their training period at the Legal and Judicial Studies Centre of the Ministry of Justice and receiving practical training at Qatari law firms. The committee also reviewed applications for registration of several professionals in the list of practising lawyers, the re-registration of two lawyers, the approval of applications for new trainee lawyers, and the transfer of a lawyer's registration to the list of practicing lawyers before the Court of Appeal. It also examined a number of procedural matters and regulatory controls related to the legal profession, including minutes of subcommittees, and appropriate decisions were taken accordingly. During the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Committee HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi congratulated the new lawyers, affirming the committee's commitment to providing a suitable environment that enables new and practising lawyers to carry out their noble duties in serving society and enhancing the legal and judicial system in Qatar.

The PM further highlighted that the impact of this partnership is manifested in the strengthening of economic relations between the two countries, noting that the volume of trade exchange in 2024 reached approximately $1.8 million, with a shared ambition to grow and enhance this exchange through the expansion of commercial and investment cooperation. The PM also pointed out that recent years have witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding in multiple fields, which underscores the robustness of bilateral relations and reflects the firm determination of both sides to elevate them to more comprehensive and profound levels, in a manner that serves their mutual interests and meets the aspirations of their two friendly peoples. He also welcomed the convening of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand from Oct. 30 to Nov. 13, 2025, as well as the second GCC-Central Asia Summit in Uzbekistan in 2026. For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to the Uzbek conveyed the greetings of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with his firm commitment to strengthening and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations. He also welcomed the selection of Doha as the host city of the Second World Social Summit from Nov. 4-6, 2025, and the announcement by the State of Qatar of its candidacy to host the Olympic Games in 2036. In the course of their discussions, both sides focused on enhancing political dialogue, expanding trade and investment, enhancing academic, scientific, and cultural exchanges, promoting youth and sports development, improving connectivity in the field of transport, and addressing environmental sustainability and climate change. The two countries also affirmed their interest in strengthening comprehensive bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality, and pragmatism, emphasizing that regular high-level exchanges and intensified delegation visits would contribute significantly to consolidating and expanding their strategic partnership. Both sides further underscored the importance of deepening cooperation within international and regional organizations, coordinating positions on political and security issues of common concern, and exploring opportunities for mutual support of candidacies in international fora in a manner that serves the interests of both countries. The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing active efforts to bolster economic cooperation, including investment and trade, through the exchange of information on commercial opportunities, joint measures to increase the volume of bilateral trade, and the organization of trade exhibitions and forums. They also agreed to convene the second meeting of the Qatari-Uzbek Coordination Council for the Strategic Partnership in the city of Samarkand. The two sides welcomed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on investment cooperation between Qatar Mining Company and the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The prime minister affirmed that this meeting represents a pivotal step towards the implementation of the Agreement on the Establishment of the Strategic Partnership between Qatar and Uzbekistan and reflects the shared commitment to developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation. He added, 'The understandings and outcomes reached during this meeting will be closely followed up by our side to translate them into clear and effective practical steps that serve the interests of our two countries and peoples. We look forward to continued future meetings that will enhance the course of cooperation and understanding and further consolidate the bonds of strategic fraternal relations between our two friendly countries and peoples.' He also expressed the anticipation of both sides for convening the second meeting of the Council next year in Samarkand, to build upon today's achievements and follow up on the implementation of the outcomes. The Coordination Council, established under the Bilateral Strategic Partnership Agreement of 2024, serves as a platform to ensure the effective implementation of high-level agreements and to explore new prospects for cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields.

QNA Dubai The State of Qatar participated in the 94th Executive Council meeting of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States and the workshop for the representatives of the ministries of education in the member states on the strategic direction of the bureau, held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of their excellencies undersecretaries of ministries of education in member states. The Qatari delegation was led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, member of the Executive Council. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education began his speech by stressing the importance of the meeting in strengthening the educational process and joint work among the Gulf states, and developing educational systems to keep pace with future aspirations, achieving forward-looking goals that serve the peoples of the region and future generations, and consolidate their competitive position on the global level. He commended the bureau's programs and activities as well as its affiliated bodies during the past financial cycle, affirming that they achieved the aspired goals according to the outputs, achievement indicators, and reports, in addition to developing the educational policies and practices adopted by member states, which strengthened joint Gulf action and fruitful cooperation. The 94th Executive Council meeting of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States addressed the final accounts and financial statements, the draft regulations for developing the bureau's additional financial resources, and a presentation by the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences on the quality of education in the GCC countries and the foundation's initiatives, in addition to several other topics on the meeting's agenda.
