Colonist attack Ramallah-area town, burn two vehicles

Ammona day ago
Ammon News - Colonists attacked the town of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, at dawn on Monday, burning two vehicles and spray-painting racist graffiti on the walls.
Local sources reported that colonists infiltrated the town at dawn, attacked residents' homes, and set fire to two vehicles, completely burning them. They also spray-painted racist and threatening graffiti on the outer wall of one of the homes.
The sources added that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town with several military vehicles following the attack.
On June 4, colonists established a new colonial outpost on the ruins of the homes of a Palestinian family who were displaced about a year ago following a series of violent attacks in the town of Taybeh.
On July 7, colonists set fire to the historic cemetery and church of St. George (Al-Khader) in the town, sparking widespread church and international condemnation of the settlers' attacks on holy sites and places of worship.
On July 14, a number of patriarchs and heads of churches in Jerusalem, along with diplomats from more than 20 Arab and foreign countries, visited the town of Taybeh, in light of the dangerous escalation in colonists' attacks on the town, its property, and its holy sites, especially the Christian churches and cemeteries. Minister says airdrops not substitute for ground convoys; Jordan continues humanitarian relief efforts - Jordan News

Government Communication Minister Mohammad Momani said Jordan is committed to delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, emphasising that relief efforts are free from political interference, debates or skepticism. اضافة اعلان In a press statement on issued Monday, Momani highlighted the ongoing political, diplomatic and humanitarian efforts led by His Majesty the King, aimed at achieving a ceasefire and facilitating the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. Momani dismissed claims suggesting that aid efforts are solely political or outside the humanitarian scope. He underscored the urgent need for increased support, noting that the aid currently being sent is insufficient to meet the needs of the Palestinian people. He announced that Jordan conducted three airdrops in Gaza on Sunday as part of its continuous humanitarian efforts. He clarified that airdrops are not a replacement for ground convoys, which carry the largest quantities of aid. He pointed out that Jordan has recently sent six relief convoys, the most recent comprising 60 aid trucks. Despite obstacles imposed by Israeli authorities, Jordan remains determined to continue its aid delivery through all available means. Momani reaffirmed Jordan's solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, stressing that political and diplomatic efforts persist to end Israeli aggression. He condemned attempts to alter the legal status of Palestinian territories or impose Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank, which is recognised as occupied territory under international law. He reiterated Jordan's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, vowing to continue efforts to end the conflict and alleviate suffering among the Palestinian population.

King: Unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza reached unspeakable levels

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday stressed that Israel's war on Gaza must stop, as the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has reached unspeakable levels. During a joint press conference with the German Chancellor, His Majesty said that aid cannot be politicised and the targeting of starving civilians gathered to receive aid is unconscionable. "We reiterate our calls for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, full respect for international humanitarian law, and unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance to all parts of Gaza," the King added. Jordan has led regional efforts by dispatching and coordinating aid convoys to Gaza, providing extensive medical support, and facilitating safe passage for the injured, His Majesty noted. The King also stressed that Syria's stability is vital to the region. Sustained international support is essential to prevent a return to conflict, and to empower Syrians to rebuild a nation that ensures security, stability and prosperity for its diverse society. In addition, His Majesty stated that Jordan and Germany enjoy a deep and enduring partnership that is rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and robust cooperation across political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
