‘So glossy' £17 shine-boosting hair mask that rivals professional treatments
Shoppers are praising the glossy, shiny results of this new five-minute hair mask, saying it leaves your hair looking like you've just stepped out of the hair salon
Shiny hair always looks expensive, we think, but it's not always easy to achieve; dry, damaged or bleached hair in particular can often struggle to reflect the light in a flattering way without the help of professional treatments. However, shoppers think they've hit upon an at-home solution that gives salon-worthy shine for a fraction of the price.
Moroccanoil's new High Shine Gloss Mask has stacked up dozens of really impressive five-star reviews online, with shoppers calling it "a must-have in between salon visits" and "one of the best hair masks [they] have ever used". While a large 200ml tube costs £28 from retailers such as Lookfantastic and Sephora, you can also buy a smaller 75ml bottle for £17 – ideal if you want to try it out for less first.
Formulated with something called 'ArganID technology', this five-minute mask "instantly boosting shine while also revitalising hair colour between appointments", says Moroccan oil. In the brand's trials, 95% of users said it gave their hair a gloss-like finish, while 96% said hair felt richly conditioned.
And Sephora shoppers clearly agree. "I have to say I really liked this mask. After using it, my hair felt super soft and had such a beautiful shine. It wasn't greasy or heavy, just smooth and glossy in the best way. I got a bunch of compliments, which never hurts!" one person wrote, adding, "What really surprised me was how long it lasted...Honestly, it's one of those products I'd definitely keep using when I want my hair to look extra polished without a ton of effort."
"It is quick and easy to use. My hair felt so soft, smooth and shiny. It made it look healthy and my hair colour is more vibrant," another review reads. " I felt like I just got off the salon after this treatment. Highly recommend."
A third person agreed, writing: "The high class shine mask is literally perfect for my hair. I always love the scents of Moroccan oil products and this one is no exception. Even my husband asked if I had just gone to the salon after using this product."
Not every customer was completely won over though, with one person calling it "a really nice shine treatment" but saying that "I personally have very fine, thin hair and do feel like this weighs my hair down vs similar products I've tried." If this sounds like something you might be concerned about too, you might want to instead try something like OUAI Fine-Medium Hair Treatment Masque, £34, or Philip Kingsley's cult classic Elasticizer Intensive Treatment, currently reduced to £31.20.

Haircare set that promises 'to slow hair loss' has over 30% off
Philip Kingsley's Density Discovery Set is designed to improve locks while making strands look fuller As we grow older, it's not uncommon for our hair to become finer and thinner. However, shoppers have discovered a revolutionary haircare range that adds thickness and volume to their hair. Philip Kingsley's Density Discovery Set, which includes shampoo, conditioner and scalp drops, is designed 'to slow hair loss' while giving locks a fuller appearance. Plus, it's currently on sale, reduced to £54 from £78 - that's a decent £24 saving. Reviewing the set, a shopper in her early 70s shared her experience: "I have fine, naturally blonde hair even though I'm in my early seventies, but just lately, it has started thinning. The Density Shampoo and Conditioner duo have helped, and they are a joy to use." Clinical trials also vouch for the shampoo's effectiveness. When used with the Density Conditioner and Protein Spray, 92% of testers reported their hair felt more textured, while 25% noticed increased volume after just one application. Shop the Density Discovery Collection £78 £54 Philip Kingsley Buy Now on Philip Kingsley Product Description The shampoo purifies the scalp, fortifies strands, and imparts long-lasting fullness, making it perfect for those dealing with thinning hair. Its ingredients include hydrolysed pea peptides, which offer antioxidant, hydrating, and smoothing benefits. Meanwhile, the conditioner also helps to improve the health and condition of fine hair with its lightweight formula. The scalp drops contain a peptide blend and caffeine to help stimulate the scalp and promote healthy hair growth. However, Philip Kingsley isn't the only option for thinning hair. Champo is another brand on our radar, with its Pitta Volumising Shampoo (£20) promising immediate, long-lasting fullness and body. In fact, it's so popular the brand sells one every minute. Alternatively, for a more affordable option, the Sukin Volumising Shampoo is available for £5.95 at Boots. The matching Sukin Volumising Conditioner is also £5.95. As mentioned, the Density range has bagged some fantastic reviews online. One delighted mother enthused: "My 18-year-old daughter started to lose her hair on top (and) no one could say why. But using these products has changed her life for the better. We've noticed a difference in the last couple of months." Meanwhile, another individual raved: "I noticed the difference after the first use. My hair looked noticeably thicker. Even other people noticed. I have since purchased more and will continue using it. I am really pleased with it and recommend it to anyone with fine hair." Regrettably, not all feedback was positive. A disgruntled user reported: "So far, I am not convinced it helps. Shampoo makes my hair greasy and lank." On a brighter note, another contented customer remarked: "The Density Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner already seem to be working on my thinning, shedding hair. The scalp is less visible, and the hair looks healthy. I am delighted."

Zara McDermott's ‘unreal' £30 hair waver has been creating her go-to summer hair
Zara McDermott's tousled beachy waves are the perfect easy hairstyle for summer, and she's shared exactly how she creates them thanks to an affordable £30 hair waver If you're looking for a quick, easy and effortless way to style your hair this summer, look no further than Zara McDermott's beachy waves. The former reality star has been spotted wearing the style on repeat whilst on holiday and filming for her new documentary, and she's finally shared the tool she uses to create the look. Posting on Instagram, Zara wrote: 'I've been obsessed with waving my hair recently for summer and this waver I got on Amazon is unreal!' Zara also shared a link to her ultra-affordable styling tool, with the Revlon Wave Master Jumbo Waver priced at £29.99. The Revlon hair waver is a more affordable version of others that are on the market right now, although now is also a great time to get your hands on some other models at discounted prices thanks to several beauty sales. LookFantastic has slashed the BondiBoost 32mm Wave Wand from £57.99 to £46.39 and the Beauty Works Waver is down from £69.99 to £56, whilst at Superdrug you can save 20% on the Mermade Pro Waver 32mm after it was reduced to £55.19 from £68.99. However Zara's Revlon Wave Master Jumbo Waver is still the most affordable option, and has an impressive range of settings and features to go with it. You can choose from 30 different heat settings up to 190°C which allows you to customise the temperature to suit your hair, and a tourmaline ceramic coating which reduces damage and seals your hair cuticle for smoother, shinier waves. The three jumbo barrels help create large, loose waves that give it that tousled, relaxed look, giving you that 'just got off the beach' vibe. It also has a unique extra-wide middle barrel which stops the waves from looking too uniform or perfect. Its large size also helps cover more hair more quickly, so you can recreate Zara's look in minutes, and it's been designed to make sure your waves last from morning to night. However the beauty of Zara's beachy waves is that even if they drop slightly as the day goes on, it just adds to that laidback, effortless look – truly a win win situation. Amazon shoppers have been singing the Revlon Wave Master Jumbo Waver 's praises too, with one saying: 'Top quality product, did lovely curly in my hair, a bit heavy but it works, I would highly recommend, it was delivered on time and as described.' Another agreed: 'Perfect for mermaid waves and or a slightly more deconstructed wave /curl effect. Easy to use covers good sections of hair in one go and heats up quickly. Product is big and does feels heavy for those of us with long thick hair as holding it for longer.' One shopper struggled with the weight, writing: 'I liked the adjustable temperature control on this but its so heavy! Found it very uncomfortable to use and didn't think it held the style all that well.' However others found the opposite, writing: 'Great value for money. I bought this to give texture to my straight hair. It's perfect and gives great results. The waves last for days. And I like that there is a heat adjustable button.' Someone else wrote: 'Definitely makes your curls shine. Long hold, even longer with products. I love it!'
