Greene pitches the Reds to a 2-0 win over Webb and the Giants, ending their 7-game win streak
Blake Dunn hit a two-run double off reliever Erik Miller in the eighth inning, and Tony Santillan shut the door in the ninth for Cincinnati.
Greene (1-1) gave up four hits, struck out seven and walked one. He retired the first two batters in the ninth, but then Jung Hoo Lee singled and Matt Chapman walked.
The 25-year-old Greene was pulled after 104 pitches, and Santillan fell behind 3-1 in the count to Heliot Ramos before he lined out to left field, ending a game that took only 2 hours, 9 minutes.
It was the fifth career save for Santillan. The other four came in 2022.
Greene's only complete game came during his rookie season in 2022 when he threw a seven-inning shutout against Arizona in a rain-shortened game.
Webb struck out 10 and allowed four hits without a walk in seven scoreless innings.
Camilo Doval (1-1) took over in the eighth and walked his first batter before hitting another with a pitch. After Jose Trevino sacrificed, Miller entered and walked TJ Friedl to load the bases.
Dunn's sharp double down the right-field line was the only hit in the inning.

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool's offseason spending passed 300 million pounds ($400 million) after completing the signing of 18-year-old Parma defender Giovanni Leoni on Friday. The Italy Under-19 international was contracted for six years for 26 million pounds plus add-ons. He was to be at Anfield for the Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Friday night. Leoni previously played for Padova and Sampdoria. He joined Parma a year ago and impressed. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate were the established center backs, and Leoni will vie with Joe Gomez to challenge them. The Associated Press recently announced its All-Time All-America teams amidst the organization's 100th anniversary, bestowing one of the most prestigious honors in college football among a very select few. It should come as no surprise that Florida Gators legend Tim Tebow made the cut, but even the Orange and Blue faithful might be mildly surprised by which roster he landed in. According to the AP's latest lineup, the storied collegiate quarterback earned the First-Team spot under center, joining a star-studded group of historic greats. "Florida's Tim Tebow edged Texas' Vince Young (2005) for all-time first-team quarterback. Tebow won the Heisman and made the AP All-America team as a sophomore in 2007, his first year as the starter," AP writer Eric Olson offers. "He led the Gators to their second national championship in three years in 2008 and narrowly missed a chance at another when the 2009 team started 13-0 but lost to Alabama in the SEC championship game. He remains the SEC career leader in rushing touchdowns and touchdowns responsible for."
