Prep talk: Local players get to play in Tuesday's McDonald's All-American Games
It's the all-star basketball game every high school player aspires to play in.
The McDonald's All-American Games will take place Tuesday in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Southern California will be well represented in the boys' and girls' games.

The boys' game, set for 6 p.m. PT on ESPN, includes Brayden Burries from Eastvale Roosevelt, USC-bound Alijah Arenas from Chatsworth and Duke-bound Nikolas Khamenia from Harvard-Westlake. The girls game, set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2, includes LSU-bound Grace Knox from Etiwanda, Cal-bound Aliyahna Morris from Etiwanda and Iowa-bound Addie Deal from Mater Dei.
Also in the game is Baylor-bound Tounde Yessoufou from Santa Maria St. Joseph.
Burries is uncommitted and being recruited by USC and Arizona, among others....
There are four starting pitchers beginning the week with 0.00 ERAs: Otto Graham of JSerra, Jackson Eisenhauer of Crespi, Seth Hernandez of Corona and Brandon Thomas of Mater Dei.

2026 4-star DL places Texas A&M in his final 5 program list One of the top defensive prospects in the 2026 recruiting class has narrowed down his options, as four-star edge rusher Jamarion Carlton released his top five program list, which includes LSU, Texas Tech, Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M, which is good news for the Aggies down the final stretch of his recruitment. After his official visit to LSU on May 30, Carlton will head to Texas on June 6, followed by visits to SMU and Texas A&M on June 12. Carlton has received five predictions for Texas and three for A&M (247Sports). The fact that Coach Elko and his staff will be the final stop on his official visit tour is a sign that the Aggies are the leaders in his decision before his commitment on July 10. During Carlton's 2024 season, the versatile pass rusher recorded 57 tackles, five sacks, 11 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble, which was not surprising for the Temple (TX) native, who is poised to see play time as soon as his first or second season at the next level.
