2026 4-star DL places Texas A&M in his final 5 program list
One of the top defensive prospects in the 2026 recruiting class has narrowed down his options, as four-star edge rusher Jamarion Carlton released his top five program list, which includes LSU, Texas Tech, Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M, which is good news for the Aggies down the final stretch of his recruitment.
After his official visit to LSU on May 30, Carlton will head to Texas on June 6, followed by visits to SMU and Texas A&M on June 12. Carlton has received five predictions for Texas and three for A&M (247Sports). The fact that Coach Elko and his staff will be the final stop on his official visit tour is a sign that the Aggies are the leaders in his decision before his commitment on July 10.
During Carlton's 2024 season, the versatile pass rusher recorded 57 tackles, five sacks, 11 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble, which was not surprising for the Temple (TX) native, who is poised to see play time as soon as his first or second season at the next level.
According to 247Sports, Carlton is currently ranked as the 33rd-ranked prospect, third-ranked defensive lineman, and fourth-ranked prospect in Texas.

Paige Bueckers' Coach Delivers Blunt Response on Disappointing Season

Paige Bueckers' Coach Delivers Blunt Response on Disappointing Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Prior to the start of this WNBA season, Chris Koclanes was hired to be the head coach of the Dallas Wings. He had been an assistant coach with the Connecitcut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks, but he had never been a head coach at either the pro or college levels. Advertisement The Wings went 9-31 last year and have struggled to be more than a middle-of-the-pack team for a long time. After losing 83-77 to the Seattle Storm on Tuesday, they fell to 1-7, which is the worst record in the league. Koclanes was asked how he has been handling the adversity he has dealt with so far this season in his first head coaching gig. "Just leaning on my support system," he said. "Leaning on that GM bucket, our coaching staff and my mentors to just trust and stay the course and continue to do the work. I need to show up consistent every single day regardless of outcome for our players and continue to exude belief and confidence in them, because that's the only way this thing is going to turn." The Wings were given a big dose of hope when they won the draft lottery, which allowed them to take UConn star Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft. Advertisement Bueckers has struggled offensively at times this season, and she has missed their last two games after being placed in concussion protocol. She had led UConn to the women's NCAA championship only about two months ago and won a slew of individual awards during her time there. Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers (5). Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images Clearly, becoming a very competitive team will be a long-term process for Dallas, and it sounds as if Koclanes has steeled himself to endure that process. The franchise has won just one playoff series since 2009, the last season it was known as the Detroit Shock. While based in Detroit, it had won three WNBA championships in 2003, 2006 and 2008. Former Steeler Ryan Clark blasts Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh as 'worst case scenario'

Former Steeler Ryan Clark blasts Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh as 'worst case scenario' Not everyone is thrilled about Aaron Rodgers heading to Pittsburgh — just ask former Steelers safety Ryan Clark. Clark, an outspoken critic of Rodgers, was asked on ESPN what the dynamic between HC Mike Tomlin and the four-time MVP would be in Pittsburgh — and this was his response: "This is the worst-case scenario for Pittsburgh Steelers fans. It continues to keep you mired in mediocrity. Will this team be better? Have they gotten better in the quarterback room? Absolutely. Will they contend for that championship that Pittsburgh Steelers' people, fans, and the organization thinks is the standard? No, they won't," Clark stated. "Five years from when both of these men retire, one of them will give the most motivational Hall of Fame speech we've ever heard. Another will probably give the most interesting — and it won't mean anything." Yikes. This isn't the first time Clark has taken aim at the future Hall of Fame QB. Last December, the former Steeler called Rodgers a "fraud" for his criticism directed at former players working at ESPN. Will Rodgers win Clark over with a dominant performance in Pittsburgh — or does the bad blood run deeper than anything football could fix?
