Television actress Lataa Saberwal, best known for her long-standing role as Rajshri Maheshwari in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has announced her separation from husband and co-actor Sanjeev Seth after 16 years of marriage.
The actress shared the news on social media, requesting privacy during this time.
In her post, Lataa wrote, 'After a prolonged silence… I declare that I (Lataa Saberwal) have been separated from my husband (Mr. Sanjeev Seth). I give gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life. I request everyone to please respect my and my family's peace and not to ask any questions or call regarding this.'
Lataa and Sanjeev played one of television's most loved on-screen couples, Rajshri and Vishambharnath Maheshwari, in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Their chemistry and portrayal of supportive parents won the hearts of audiences. They also reprised their roles in the show's successful spin-off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.
The couple tied the knot in 2009 after meeting on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and share a son named Aarav.
