Kirsten Dunst Scared To Kiss Josh Hartnett In Virgin Suicides

Kirsten Dunst was just 16 when she portrayed the rebellious Lux Lisbon in Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides. In the film, which is an adaptation of Jeffrey Eugenides's novel, Kirsten's character engages in a brief romance with Trip Fontaine, played by Josh Hartnett. Kirsten has spoken at length about feeling incredibly worried when it came to shooting intimate scenes with Josh, who was 19 when the film was made. Last year, she told GQ that one particular scene — which saw her passionately making out with Josh in a car — made her 'the most nervous,' adding that she was 'mortified' when she realized she had accidentally bitten him during filming. Fast forward to today, and Kirsten, 43, has opened up further about what it was like shooting these uncomfortable scenes while attending a special screening of The Virgin Suicides in LA in honor of the film's 25th anniversary. Per People, the actor recalled feeling worried when she first read the script at age 16, telling the audience, 'It was a lot of things that I was feeling that I hadn't expressed. They were very private.' 'I was worried about kissing Josh in the car and making out with boys on the roof,' she recalled. 'Which Sof didn't make me do. She was like, 'Just nuzzle into their shoulder and we'll shoot it abstractly.' But I hadn't entered this side of my own personality, even though it was there.' Speaking of shooting the car takeout scene, Kirsten admitted that she found it 'terrifying' as an 'innocent' 16-year-old. 'That was a really memorable night. So I was waiting, [Sofia was] like, 'Okay, you can go.' And I had to jump on Josh in a car, which — I was a very innocent 16-year-old — was terrifying,' she said. The 58-year-old Oscar winner's boyfriend of five years, Van Hunt, revealed to that he has already popped the question. "I put out the proposal, and it's still on hold as you can see," he told the website after having his first joint interview with Berry on the June 4 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends. "It's just out there floating. You know, maybe you can encourage her." As for why Berry hasn't said yes yet, she noted both of their past marriages have influenced her. 'Well, I've been married three times. Van has been married once, and so no, we don't feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way. We don't,' Berry said. Berry was previously married to Olivier Martinez before the two split in 2015. Prior to her relationship with Martinez, 57, she was married to former MLB player David Justice and singer/actor Eric Benét. However, despite her current hesitation, Berry does plan to one day tie the knot with Hunt. "I think we will get married just because, out of the people I've been married to, this is the person I should have married," Berry noted. 'And I feel like I should, we should get married, but it's not because we feel like we have to. I think it's something that we would like to do just because we want that expression." As for when that would be, she simply replied "soon." The actress-filmmaker first met the Grammy winner through his brother. "Van's brother, who I had known for many years, came to me and said, 'You should meet my brother.' 'she said. Of navigating their relationship, Berry said that it 'took me a minute to get it right,' but 'the nature of the way this happened, I have a real belief that this is it. This is my person.' Berry told Women's Health in November 2021 that she feels "fulfilled" in her life with Hunt. "I wish I had met him sooner so I could have loved him longer. I just feel fulfilled. I feel happy in my life romantically, as a mother, as an artist," the Oscar winner said at the time. Berry added, "I'm a much better mother in this circumstance than I would have been had I stayed in a romantic relationship that didn't serve me and didn't make me feel the way I need to feel as a woman." ‘Sixth Sense' Star Haley Joel Osment Sentenced After April Arrest

A California judge has made a ruling after Oscar-nominated actor Haley Joel Osment was arrested for suspected public intoxication, People reported. Sixth Sense star Osment was arrested on April 8 in Mammoth Lakes, CA, on charges of alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in a local court on June 2. During his arraignment, Osment requested and was granted a one-year diversion which requires him to attend three AA meetings each week for the next six months. Osment must also meet with his therapist at least twice weekly during the next six months and obey all to the outlet, the Mono County district attorney's office objected to Osment's diversion request because of the actor's previous DUI conviction. They also cited Osment's use of racial slurs towards arresting officers as reason the diversion should not have been granted. During his arrest, Osment accused one officer of being 'a f---ing Nazi' and use an antisemitic slur against another. If Osment completes the diversion program, the court will dismiss all charges related to the most recent incident. However, criminal proceedings will be reinstated if Osment does not complete the program. Osment will next appear in court on Jan. 5, 2026, when the judge will review his compliance with the issued an apology back in April for the 'disgraceful language' he used during his arrest, explaining that 'the past few months of loss and displacement' after losing his home in January's Eaton fire 'have broken me down to a very low emotional place.' "I'm absolutely horrified by my behavior. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner," Osment said in his statement. "But that's no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage—I've let the Jewish community down and it devastates me. I don't ask for anyone's forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake."Though Osment is best known for his adolescent roles in The Sixth Sense and Pay It Forward, he's maintained a busy career in subsequent years with over 130 acting credits.
