Singer/YouTuber Aaryamann Sethi dropped another vlog on his channel Aary Vlogs, and this time around the gang was shopping, claiming GST, doing more shopping, and getting some reality checks all in one video. Newly engaged couple Aaryamann and Yogita Bihani travelled to the city with Parmeet Sethi, all for different purposes. Yogita, who is an actor by profession, prepared for her audition with 'weird lines', as Parmeet and Aaryamann got ready for some shopping.
Aaryamann planned to claim back his GST from when he purchased his fiancée a new iPhone, but before that they took a detour to a furniture store. Aaryamann walked into the store and said, 'Even I have to buy some things for the new place, but this place is too expensive,' to which Parmeet replied, 'It isn't that expensive; buy less, but buy quality products.' Aaryamann then took a gander at the inventory of the story, and his eyes fixated on a small cabinet with two drawer spaces. He looked at the price tag and said, 'I love this and the retro feel it has to it. But the price tag is Rs 40k, so it must have gold in it.' He told Parmeet about this, and the actor replied with, 'Bete kamao paise, kamao' (Earn money, son).

After her audition, Yogita picked up the duo as they went to meet up with Ayushmaan, who was taking them out for dinner to celebrate the engagement. Parmeet went home, as the gang, along with a friend of Yogita, went to Colaba to shop some more. Here Yogita showcased her bargaining skills in the market as she negotiated a pair of earrings that cost more than Rs 600 down to Rs 250. She started cutting at the prices while buying her phone case as well, as the shopkeeper said, 'Madam, bargain hota par itna thodi' (I am open for bargaining, but not this much). Listening to this, Aaryamann said, 'This is a literal sport for Yogita, and she can compete professionally in it.'
After shopping some more, all of them went out for dinner, where Yogita told Aaryamann to get Archana Puran Singh's ancestral ring fixed quickly. Ayushmaan cheered for the couple and congratulated them on the engagement and even surprised them with a cake. The couple held hands with each other, closed their eyes, and made their wishes before blowing out the candles.

This horror film, which was shot in just 8 days, will send the chills down your spine, made under Rs 44 lakh, earned Rs 2000 crore, movie name is...

Some films make history in ways that surprise everyone. Imagine a movie shot in just over a week, with a tiny budget, yet it went on to earn an unimaginable amount worldwide. It was made in a simple style but created a massive impact, inspiring many future filmmakers. This film changed the way horror movies are made and proved that creativity can beat big budgets. Which film is this? Here we are talking about the 1999 cult classic The Blair Witch Project, helmed by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. Made with a budget of just around 60,000 dollars (under Rs 49 lakh) and shot in 8 days, this found-footage horror movie became a worldwide sensation. The success of this film showed how innovative storytelling and smart marketing could take a movie to extraordinary heights without huge investments. What is the storyline? The story follows three film students who venture into the woods to investigate a local legend about a witch. Using handheld cameras, they document their terrifying experience as they get lost and face strange occurrences. The raw and realistic filming style added to the suspense, making audiences feel like they were watching real footage. This unique approach sparked a new genre, found-footage horror, which remains popular today. What made The Blair Witch Project a cult classic? Several factors contributed to the film's massive success. The minimalist production saved costs, while the use of unknown actors gave it authenticity. The clever viral marketing campaign, especially online forums and fake missing-person reports, blurred the line between fiction and reality, engaging viewers deeply. Critics praised The Blair Witch Project for its originality and tension-building, even if it wasn't a traditional horror with special effects. Its influence is still seen in modern horror cinema, inspiring countless films and web series to experiment with storytelling formats.

Mahavatar Narsimha 4th Wednesday Hindi Box Office: Hombale's animated movie continues outpacing Coolie The Powerhouse

Mahavatar Narsimha, directed by Ashwin Kumar, continued wrecking the box office with the least drop of all Indian movies after 'Discount Tuesday'. The devotional animated movie added Rs 1.20 crore at the Hindi box office, taking its total closer to Rs 150 crore. The movie will cross the Rs 150 crore net Hindi mark on its 5th Friday, that is on the same day that War 2 also crosses Rs 150 crore at the Hindi box office. From here, it will be interesting to see if Mahavatar Narsimha can actually end up doing higher collections than War 2 in Hindi. The Day Wise Hindi Net India Collections Of Mahavatar Narsimha Are As Under Weeks/Days India Net Collections (Hindi) Week 1 Rs 29 crore Week 2 Rs 50 crore Week 3 Rs 48.50 crore 4th Friday Rs 5.50 crore 4th Saturday Rs 4.95 crore 4th Sunday Rs 5.95 crore 4th Monday Rs 1.50 crore 4th Tuesday Rs 1.75 crore 4th Wednesday Rs 1.20 crore Total Rs 148.35 crore in 27 days Weeks/Days Note: The collections exclude 3D handling charges Mahavatar Narsimha Heads For A Rs 300 Crore Plus Gross Worldwide Finish Mahavatar Narsimha has already crossed Rs 250 crore at the worldwide box office (all languages) and it will be target to end its run over Rs 300 crore. Seeing the trend, it should not be too hard. However, one can never absolutely be sure. Regardless, the job is done well and the upcoming movies from the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe are already among the most awaited movies in the coming years. Mahavatar Narsimha Has Shown That You Don't Need Big Actors For Your Film To Run The biggest takeaway is that these are all animated movies and don't have a star in them. The audience for the movie is purely coming on the basis of the film's content. There used to be a stigma around animated movies. But guess it is no longer there. Producers should take note and invest in making compelling animated movies. The box office will follow, and so will the audience love. Mahavatar Narsimha is going to end as one of the most profitable Indian movies of the year. The only movies with a greater profit so far are Chhaava and Saiyaara. The movie plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.

Here's when and where you can watch Fahadh Faasil, Vadivelu's comedy drama Maareesan on OTT

A mysterious journey unfolds when two unlikely companions set off across Tamil Nadu. One is a cunning thief with ulterior motives; the other, an elderly man battling memory loss. What begins as a simple plan for deception soon transforms into an emotional odyssey neither expected. When and where to watch Maareesan? Maareesan, the latest Tamil film starring Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu, is set to premiere on Netflix on August 22, 2025. Directed by Sudheesh Sankar, this road-trip thriller delves into themes of trust, redemption, and the complexities of human relationships. What is the storyline? The storyline of Maareesan follows Dhaya, a small-time thief (played by Fahadh Faasil), who targets Velayudham, an elderly man with Alzheimer's (played by Vadivelu), as part of a con. Dhaya pretends to help Velayudham in his supposed quest to find his long-lost daughter, seeing it as an easy opportunity to gain something in return. As they journey together across Tamil Nadu, what begins as manipulation slowly evolves into a genuine emotional bond. Dhaya starts to empathize with Velayudham's vulnerability and sincerity. The road trip reveals hidden truths, personal regrets, and forces both characters to confront their pasts. How were the performances? The performances were widely appreciated, with Vadivelu earning particular praise for his role as Velayudham. Known primarily for his comedic work, Vadivelu showcased his range with a restrained and emotional performance that became one of the film's strongest elements. Fahadh Faasil, as the morally grey thief Dhaya, delivered a layered portrayal, effectively capturing the character's transformation from selfish motives to empathy and redemption. How was the box office response? Despite the critical praise, the film, which was released on July 25, struggled at the box office. Maareesan opened to a modest Rs 75 lakh on its first day and eventually collected around Rs 6.55 crore domestically. With an estimated production budget of Rs 15 crore, the film failed to recover its costs theatrically. Audiences responded well to the film post-theatrical release, and it currently holds an impressive IMDb rating of 8.2. While Maareesan may not have achieved commercial success, it resonated deeply with viewers for its sincere performances and heartfelt narrative. Story Highlights Maareesan follows conman (Fahadh Faasil) who tries to exploit elderly man with Alzheimer's (Vadivelu) on road trip. The Film is all set to stream on Netflix from August 22, 2025. Vadivelu delivers a standout emotional performance, moving beyond his usual comic roles. Though it underperformed at the box office, the film received critical acclaim and holds a strong IMDb rating of 8.2/10.
