Cassie gives birth to third child days after testifying at P Diddy trial
Cassie Ventura has welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine not long after testifying at Sean 'Diddy' Combs ' high-profile trial. Cassie shares daughters Frankie, five, and Sunny, four, with her husband Alex, with them announcing they were expecting a son in a post shared in February.
The news has since been announced that Cassie has welcomed her third child, with sources close to the star claiming she gave birth on Tuesday in a New York City hospital. It's understood mother and baby are doing well, despite the tot arriving slightly earlier than planned, TMZ have reported.
The Long Way 2 Go singer had shared professional black-and-white shots of her posing with her family while showing off her baby bump. In one snap, her two daughters kissed her bump while another showed Alex's hands on her belly. She simply captioned the post with a pregnant woman emoji and added the hashtag: "#3". The likes of Karrueche Tran, Lauren London, Vanderpump Rules' Kristen Doute, and Ciara shared their excitement in the comment section at the time.
On May 27, it was revealed she was rushed to a New York hospital after going into labour. A source told TMZ that Cassie was in labour and in the delivery unit, having been around eight months pregnant during her testimony in the trial.
Her ex-partner, Diddy, is facing a number of serious charges - including racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He denies all allegations against him.
Cassie, who was pregnant with her third child while testifying, took to the stand earlier this month, and made some bombshell claims about the disgraced rapper.
After testifying in the trial, Cassie's lawyer - Doug Wigdor - released a statement on her behalf.
Cassie's statement read: "This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me.
"For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget. I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I'm grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received.
"I'm glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family."

Former NBA star reports to prison after begging for pardon from President Trump
After previously pleading for a pardon from President Donald Trump, former NBA star Sebastian Telfair has reported to a federal prison in New Jersey. Telfair, age 40, will be behind bars at Fort Dix Federal Corrections Institute - a 'low security' institution - for six months after violating the terms of his conditional release. According to records obtained by TMZ, Telfair will face mandatory conditions when he is eventually released - including refraining from the use of alcohol or drugs, taking a personal finance class, and writing a letter to the court explaining what he learned. In 2023, Telfair pled guilty to charges of fraud after he was found to be one of 18 former NBA players who defrauded the league's health and welfare benefit plan of about $4million. He was sentenced to time served plus three years probation - which included court ordered community service. But earlier this month, Telfair was ordered to report to prison on August 12 - this Tuesday - after violating conditions of his supervised release. Speaking to TMZ on Monday, Telfair revealed that the court ordered him back because of 'me not having my paperwork together'. 'I'm mad, I'm mad, I don't wanna be doing no federal time or all that,' Telfair told the outlet. He continued: 'As far as the initial case, I believe this whole federal case is definitely some bulls**t, no disrespect to the system. But this is NBA accounts. This is our own account. 'This is my money that, you know what I'm saying, I tampered with inside of my account. No, I should not end up in federal custody for tampered with our own NBA accounts. 'I feel like we all have been victims under this NBA situation. I earned that money that they said that I took out of my account. I physically worked, and you all watched me earn that money, and I now got to pay it back to the system. 'The money don't go back into my account. It goes back to the system. So that is just mind-blowing to me.' After adding that he's being treated 'super unfairly', Telfair then revealed that he has a three-year-old child at home he needs to take care of. With that in mind, Telfair made a plea to the Oval Office to ask for an intervention in his case. 'I know Donald Trump got some big things going on, Donald Trump might need to come holla and give ya boy a pardon, and so I could stay home with my babies, continue building my community,' Telfair told the outlet. Telfair was drafted 13th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft straight out of Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York and played in the league for over a decade. He made stops with Portland, the Boston Celtics, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Phoenix Suns, the Toronto Raptors, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Telfair also played multiple seasons in China before ending his pro career in 2017.

Dean Cain hits back at ICE criticism from John Oliver
Responding to a clip from Oliver's show, Cain wrote in an Aug. 11 post to X: "He stole that mask joke from the internet - and he also laughed hysterically when Trump said he was going to run for President. Case closed." During his show, which focused on the larger impacts of President Donald Trump's mass deportation campaign, Oliver, referring to a growing practice of ICE agents donning face coverings during raids, quipped: "No need for that guy to wear a mask because the chances of anyone recognizing him are ... zero." John Leguizamo blasts Dean Cain after Superman actor reveals ICE employment John Oliver ribs Dean Cain 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas' movies Oliver didn't stop his career criticism there. He went on to argue that Cain's decision to join ICE should raise alarm bells for the agency. "Now, I'm not saying that ICE isn't finding people," Oliver joked. "I'm just saying, when you are reduced to pinning a badge on the 59-year-old star of 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas,' 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation,' 'The Dog Who Saved the Holidays,' 'The Dog Who Saved Halloween,' 'The Dog Who Saved Easter' and 'The Dog Who Saved Summer,' maybe you are in trouble." Every Superman actor, ranked (from David Corenswet to Christopher Reeve) Cain, who announced his decision to join ICE earlier this month, pushed back on criticism of the canine franchise, adding in his post: "and those movies were sweet, by the way!" Cain, who played Superman in the 1990s series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," revealed to fans that he enlisted as an ICE in an Aug. 5 video shared to his social media channels. "For those who don't know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it," he said. "So, I joined up." In a statement to USA TODAY on Aug. 7, ICE Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that Cain will be sworn in as an honorary officer "in the coming month." "Superman is encouraging Americans to become real-life superheroes by answering their country's call to join the brave men and women of ICE to help protect our communities to arrest the worst of the worst," McLaughlin said. The move comes on the heels of Cain's harsh criticism of the new "Superman" movie starring David Corenswet. The actor called the new movie, which portrays the superhero as an empathetic foil to Luther's money-hungry tech bro, "woke" in an interview with TMZ. "James Gunn and his decision to make Ma and Pa Kent the stupid rednecks. That's a choice," Cain added in a separate interview on "Piers Morgan Uncensored," taking aim at the movie's director. "Superman has to be saved, like, repeatedly? Look, don't try and make it all woke and crazy," he said. "Keep that character as the way I like him, as true justice and the American way."
