ROSHN Group, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) subsidiary, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) to promote innovation and collaboration in the real estate sector. The agreement focuses on fostering institutional partnerships, sharing best practices in urban governance, and developing frameworks for joint efforts in urban planning and commercial procurement.
The MoU was signed during a visit by ROSHN representatives to Singapore as part of the Group's 'ROSHNEXT' innovation program. The visit aimed to explore cooperation opportunities with Singaporean government bodies, academic institutions, and private-sector entities active in the real estate industry.
Throughout the visit, ROSHN engaged with leading researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to exchange expertise and explore areas for long-term collaboration. Discussions centered around applied research, skill development, and the potential for joint innovation programs. Topics also included cutting-edge approaches to urban planning, engineering, infrastructure, and property technology.
Yassen Kattan, ROSHN Group's Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Affairs, emphasized that the partnership with SCE marks a significant step toward sustained innovation. He highlighted the collaboration's role in integrating advanced solutions into the design, development, and operation of urban communities, supporting Saudi Arabia's broader goal of building a knowledge- and innovation-driven economy.

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reported that more than 1.2 million pilgrims have arrived in the Kingdom to perform Umrah since the season launched. The faithful have traveled from 109 countries worldwide, reflecting surging international interest and the Kingdom's enhanced service capabilities for religious visitors. Ministry data shows a significant 30 percent jump in Umrah visa holders entering Saudi Arabia this year compared to the same period last year. Visa issuances also climbed 27 percent, while more than 4,200 partnership agreements were executed between domestic Umrah service providers and international agents, bolstering the Kingdom's capacity to accommodate the influx of pilgrims. The Umrah season was launched with digital visa processing handled through the government's Nusuk platform. The scheme represents the latest advancement in Saudi Arabia's efforts to streamline religious tourism as part of Vision 2030, the Kingdom's comprehensive modernization blueprint. Pilgrims have been able to secure Umrah permits directly through the Nusuk mobile application, which functions as a centralized digital gateway for pilgrim services. The platform offers streamlined booking and permit processing, complemented by additional digital tools designed to improve the overall pilgrimage experience.

As the co-chairs of the Commission, the Saudi Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, and the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Alexander Novak, met in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). During their meeting, both officials reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation within the Commission's mandate. They also followed up on the progress achieved since the 8th session. Furthermore, the two officials explored avenues for strengthening trade turnover and expanding cooperation in key economic sectors of mutual interest. They also discussed the ongoing preparations for the 9th session of the Joint Saudi-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, scheduled for November 6, 2025 in Riyadh. Moreover, the discussions touched upon the latest developments in the oil market and the collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Russia within the framework of OPEC+.
