BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Dozens rode for a cause at the Bay County Motorcycle Foundation's 10th annual JROTC Scholarship Poker Run.
The ride is in memorial of 19-year-old Dylan Corbin.
In October 2015, Dylan died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a student at Deane Bozeman High School.

Bikers say this is the perfect way to honor his legacy.
'He was a biker supported a community biker community came together where most of us are veterans. A lot of us are veterans we all came and thought it was a good cause, support our Bay County Junior ROTC,' biker Michael S. Husava said.
Dylan was part of the JROTC program, so the money raised will go towards Bay County JROTC scholarships.
'It's a worthy cause. It's a worthy event to raise money for our kids. And it's so important that the kids, especially high school age, realize there are people in the community that appreciate what they do. It's not easy for kids to be in ROTC or JROTC. It takes a commitment and hopefully, events like this can keep them funded for uniforms and go on to other events,' EOD Motorcycle Club Chapter President Mike Fennewald said.
'This is very big. Very big. There are many seniors that I know myself have benefited from this scholarship, and I just want to give a huge thank you to the Corbin family for their continued support they have of this event, as well as for honoring the memory of their son,' Mosley MC JROTC Executive Officer Aiden Pinkard said.
Mosley High School JROTC presented the colors at the opening ceremony at Annie's Hideaway in Lynn Haven.

Then bikers made their way to St. Joe Beach, Port St. Joe, Parker, Springfield, and ended at Moseys in Panama City. At each stop, participants drew a playing card, looking to have the best poker hand in the end.
Officials hope the run continues to grow for years to come.
Saturday's poker run raised $8,000 for JROTC programs in Bay County.
To donate go to the Ameris Bank in Panama City or Panama City Beach and ask the Branch Manager for details.

ROTC instructor sues SJSD over firing

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — A former ROTC instructor who was fired in 2024 has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the St. Joseph School District. Master Sergeant Jamaal Anderson served as an instructor for Benton High School's JROTC program. Anderson alleges he was placed on leave on April 29, 2024, was given a letter of suspension and told to not to go on school property. His contract was not renewed for the 24-25 school year. According to Anderson's lawsuit, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent surgery in March of 2022. The lawsuit contends that Anderson informed the district that there would be times when he would need to leave class to use the restroom or miss work abruptly. The lawsuit states that Anderson was told that SJSD would not accommodate such breaks. Jamaal Anderson lawsuitDownload Anderson also alleges he was not permitted to take time off to attend doctor's appointments. The lawsuit also said Anderson's absences led to poor classroom and extracurricular event ratings by his district supervisors, which eventually led to his suspension. News-Press NOW did contact SJSD Superintendent Gabe Edgar, who stated, We are aware of this. However, because it's a personnel matter, we will not comment." The day after his suspension was announced, students and cadets spoke out against the move. "This makes all of us mad because he always stands up for what he believes is right and treats everyone with respect,' one student said. Anderson's lawsuit also referenced an incident at Lafayette that occurred in May 2023. Students allegedly "wrapped Anderson's car in paper and wrote racial slurs and drew offensive pictures on the paper. Anderson contends the school district should have filed charges against the students but failed to do so. Although no dollar amount was specified in the suit, Anderson does ask for actual and punitive damages.

Coronation Street reveals a dark change for Dylan in early ITVX episode

follow from , which is available to watch now on ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1. Coronation Street's Dylan Wilson turns threatening in tonight's episode after being released from the Secure Training Centre. Dylan is given a chance for a fresh start after serving his time in the STC, but it seems that his troubles are far from over as he continues his feud with Brody Michaelis. As Dylan settles back into Weatherfield life, he insists on a low-key comeback and turns down his dad Sean's ideas for a celebration. Dylan suggests a quick lunch at the café instead, but when Brody pops in, it's clear that it won't be easy for the lads to live in such close proximity to each other. Related: Sean frets over Brody's presence, promising Dylan that he won't let him get hurt. Darkly, Dylan responds that Brody is the one who needs to be worried – feeling cocky after previously beating up his rival during their time together in the STC. Later, Dylan goes further by following Brody to the ginnel and laying down a few ground rules now that he's back. Dylan warns: "You won't be giving me any orders. Pushing me around. Making me feel small. That's done with, right? "This is the only warning you're going to get, you understand? You see me coming, cross the road." Related: Dylan's menacing moment is interrupted when Glenda Shuttleworth comes round the back of The Rovers, which prevents the situation from getting out of hand. Has Dylan changed after his time in the STC – and if so, how will Sean cope with his son's behaviour? Judge denies Bronx student detained by ICE's request for release

Lawyers for a Bronx high school student identified as Dylan have requested his immediate release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention after a new medical diagnosis, but on Monday, a judge denied that request. Lawyers say Dylan was in the process of being tested for different ailments when he was taken into custody about two weeks ago at a hearing for his asylum case. "The mom is so worried about him. Everyone is distraught trying to figure out what's going on," immigrant advocate Power Malu said. Dylan's lawyer says the judge that denied their request did not review the medical records and hopes once that happens, Dylan could be released. The city has filed a suit against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and ICE seeking Dylan's release, saying he's being held without cause, a violation of his right to due process. DHS has said it does not comment on going or future operations. Mayor Eric Adams encourages migrants to keep court appointments Dylan's arrest sparked protests and outrage, as well as fear among some asylum seekers in the city. But on Tuesday, Mayor Eric Adams encouraged migrants to keep their appointments. "We would, will not, and we have not collaborated with ICE on any civil enforcement, and so I don't want people to be deterred from going to court," Adams said, "because if you deter people from following out the process, then you can create a level of people being fearful of our court system." But advocates say migrants are scared. "When you hear the mayor saying, 'Continue to use public services, continue to show up in court,' but he's not able to offer protection, then it's a way where people are afraid and they're not going to show up and they're not going to use public services," Malu said.
