‘Proper ick' – Gerwyn Price's on-stage antics divide fans as former World Darts champion torments Luke Littler again
GERYWN PRICE played up to his pantomime villain role at the Premier League Finals - but was no match for Luke Littler.

Price belted out regular roars as the two players traded breaks, with the Welshman taking a shock 6-4 at the break.
But reigning champ Littler stormed back to win a thriller 10-7 and book his place in the final.
The 2021 world champion's emotional on-stage persona is a divisive subject among darts fans.
He infamously wore headphones on stage in 2023 to block out jeers from the Premier League crowd.
And he was met with a chorus boos from some among the 12,000 sell out at London's O2 on Thursday.
Price wasted no time in breaking the Littler throw, letting out a huge roar and a fist bump towards his entourage.
One fan immediately complained on X: "That scream Gerwyn Price does is a proper ick ur[sic] 40 bro."
Another agreed: "Does anyone else feel as though Gerwyn Price was screaming well over the top in that game? I found it quite annoying tbh."

But a third countered: "I have been sick in bed for 24 hours. When I just heard that Gerwyn Price Roar I felt better. Some sort of energy transfer went on."
And a fourth said: "The Price roar is mega int it."
Luke Littler and Luke Humphries play out 'best darts match ever' as Wayne Mardle says 'even they're finding it funny'
Littler admitted after the match he "stormed off stage" after his slow start to the contest.
He told Sky Sports: "When he hit the double five to go 6-4 up I took myself straight off stage, I needed to get myself up for it.
"The first five or six legs I was nervous and going into the break 6-4 down was not what I wanted.
"I knew, especially after last year, that I love coming on after a break so I relaxed myself and I got the job done.
"I stormed off stage but that was just in my own head. I just had to.
"I sat down and had a drink and cooled myself down and said 'You can do it'. I got the job done."

Man Utd's three back-up transfer options as Viktor Gyokeres snubs Ruben Amorim
Manchester United were hoping to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer, but Mirror Football understands that the 27-year-old has rejected a move to Old Trafford and would prefer to join Arsenal instead. The striker wants to join a club that will be playing Champions League football next season and United failed to qualify for the tournament after finishing 15th in the Premier League and suffering a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final. The news comes as a major blow for United, with manager Ruben Amorim keen on a reunion with Gyokeres, and the club are now turning their attention to alternative options. The Red Devils are in need of a prolific striker, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee disappointing last season. The pair managed just 17 goals between them in a combined 105 appearances across all competitions and Amorim is desperate to bring in an upgrade. United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, but he is expected to play in a slightly deeper role. With all that in mind, Mirror Football takes a look at three potential alternatives to Gyokeres... Hugo Ekitike Hugo Ekitike has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe after an impressive campaign where he scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 games for Eintracht Frankfurt. According to Sky Germany, United have opened talks with Frankfurt over a deal and the Bundesliga side are demanding a fee of around £85million. However, the report adds that both Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in Ekitike. Victor Osimhen Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer after spending last season on loan at Galatasaray, netting 37 goals in 41 appearances. The Sun are reporting that he has emerged as a 'genuine back-up plan' for United after they missed out on Gyokeres, with Osimhen recently rejecting a hugely lucrative offer from Al-Hilal as he wants to remain in Europe. Jean-Philippe Mateta Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford after scoring 17 goals last season and helping his side lift the FA Cup. Mateta would be a more affordable signing given his contract is due to expire in 2027 and French outlet L'Equipe have previously reported that United have 'already positioned themselves' to make a move for the 27-year-old. However, Palace are hoping to convince Mateta to sign a new deal. Join our new MAN UTD WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Manchester United content from Mirror Football. Shoppers are ditching ‘dry' Jaffa Cakes in favour of supermarket own brand that ‘taste better, & are half the price'
SHOPPERS are in a frenzy over a supermarket dupe of Jaffa Cakes, after branding the original Mcvitie's cakes "dry". Jaffa Cakes are one of the nation's favourite sweet treats, with Brits across the country choosing to dunk them in their afternoon cup of tea. However, some snack fans have become disappointed with the "dry" texture of McVitie's Jaffa Cakes, choosing to switch to cheap knock offs instead. Posting to Reddit, one biscuit lover shared that she recently treated herself to a packet of the Mcvitie's branded snack, hoping they would taste as delicious and spongy as she remembered them growing up. However, after sinking her teeth into the orange flavoured dessert, she was left extremely disappointed. "They're dry af. That 'spongy' bit? It's not the same spongy bit I remember growing up. "It's like drywall. I had three, just to make sure I wasn't going crazy, and they were all the same." The disappointed woman then revealed she dished the remaining cakes out to her friends, who confirmed that the snacks did not taste as good as they used to. "Has something changed?" she asked. "Have false memories allowed me to remember an absolutely supreme experience whilst munching on these delights? "Or have they just decided to change the whole recipe to save a few quid?" The post was flooded with comments with social media users, who suggested alternative Jaffa Cake brands the snack fan should try, and many said the same thing. SWEET TOOTH 'A tangy twist', cry fans over 85p packs of Jaffa Cakes in a unique flavour One person said: "Off-brand Jaffa cakes have been superior for a few years now. Aldi ones are pretty good." A second person said: "Aldi cherry bakewell ones are sublime." A third person said: "The Aldi ones are far superior now. "Succulent, citrusy and generously jellied." A fourth added: "Buy the Lidl and Aldi own brands. "They taste better, have more filling and they're about half the price." Aldi's own brand Jaffa Cakes come in a variety of different flavours including cherry bakewell and passion fruit flavour for just 99p. Shoppers can also snap up Aldi original flavour Jaffa Cakes for £1.25 for 300g, much cheaper than the Mcvitie's version which are on sale at Aldi for £2.75 for 330g. M&S also sells its own version of Jaffa Cakes for £2.10, whilst Tesco 's own brand offering is priced at £2.

Man Utd set sights on Liverpool target after Viktor Gyokeres says no to move
Manchester United are the latest Premier League club to be linked with Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike after learning that Viktor Gyokeres will not move to Old Trafford this summer Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has set his sights on joining Arsenal after telling Manchester United that he won't be moving to Old Trafford. The Swedish striker feels he needs to join a club that will be playing in the Champions League next season and wants to challenge for the Premier League title. Sources at United have refused to comment on reports from Portugal that the 27-year-old has told the club that he has no interest in linking up again with his former Sporting coach Ruben Amorim in Manchester. But it is understood that the Reds have already started looking at alternative targets - and that they are ready to ramp up their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike. Ekitike, 22, the France Under-21 international has also been attracting the attention of Liverpool after scoring 22 goals for the German club last season. But Frankfurt's £80million valuation of the former Paris St Germain forward will have to be lowered significantly before United table a bid. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has made it his mission to add more goals to Mikel Arteta 's squad next season. The Gunners have drawn up a shortlist that also includes RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Atletico Madrid's former Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez. Berta met with Sporting director of football Bernardo Palmeiro in Menorca last week to discuss Gyokeres. The former Coventry striker has scored an impressive 97 goals in 102 games in Portugal. And with Bayern Munich now registering an interest in Slovakian International Sesko and Argentine World Cup winner Alvarez settled in Spain, it appears that Gyokeres ticks a lot of boxes. One major issue is that the player's agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has become embroiled in an ugly war of words with Sporting president Frederico Varandas. Cetinkaya insists he has a written guarantee from the Sporting chief promising to do a deal with any club offering £59million. Varandas has countered by claiming that while he did make a verbal agreement to sell Gyokeres for less than the £84.7million get-out clause stipulated in his contract he is yet to set a valuation. Now Varandas is threatening to impose the full terms of the buy-out after being angered further by a threat that Gyokeres could go on strike to force through a sale. The row is further complicated by Cetinkaya's revelation that Sporting will have to pay him almost £6million if they reject an official bid of £51million up front and £8million in add-ons. But according to sources close to Sporting, they have told coach Rui Borges to prepare for the next season without his top goalscorer and have started the process of recruiting a replacement. There has also been confirmation from Portugal that Coventry will get a 10 percent cut of any fee that Sporting generate from selling Gyokeres. The Sky Blues had originally negotiated a 15 percent concession as part of the deal that took the Swede to Lisbon for £20million two seasons ago. But they accepted a payment of £843,500 last year to reduce their entitlement. Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content.
