Advocate Anjali Awasthi aka Shritama Mitra to play dual role after a 20-year leap

Time of India29-06-2025
The channel recently announced a powerful twist in its much-loved show, Advocate Anjali Awasthi, as it took a 20-year leap! This leap introduced an emotional, dramatic, and inspiring new chapter in the show, where actress Shritama Mitra is set to take centre stage playing a dual character.
She will not only continue portraying
Anjali
Awasthi but also her daughter Aarti Anjali Awasthi. Aarti will be seen emerging as a strong-willed journalist, ready to shake the system and become the voice of justice.
The recent promo dropped by the makers gives a stirring glimpse into Aarti's world. It begins with a touching moment, where Aarti is seen feeding her mother, Anjali, who now lives in silence, her eyes holding back an untold story.
Amidst this, her grandmother intervenes, urging Aarti not to pursue the matter further. She fears that Aarti's relentless quest for justice mirrors her daughter Anjali's own path, a path that led Anjali to her current state.
The promo then offers a hauntingly powerful glimpse into Anjali's past, revealing a brief but intense bombing scene, hinting at a tragedy that entirely altered the course of her life.
Despite her grandmother's opposition, Aarti assures her mother that she will fight for justice and find those responsible for her suffering. The promo also shows Aarti in a situation where she is on the verge of unmasking the goons involved in
human trafficking
. The promo ended on a gripping note, leaving viewers with the question: Would Aarti be able to save the victims and bring justice for her mother and advocate Anjali Awasthi?
The stage has been set for a battle of truth, courage, and justice. The show promises a journey full of risk, revelation, and resilience. Don't miss the turning point of this powerful saga.
