Brooklyn and Nicola's £10.5m LA home purchase explained amid family feud

Daily Mirror3 hours ago

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's reasoning for buying a lavish £10.5million Hollywood home has been revealed amid the pair's huge recent fallout with the influencer's family
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have s wooped to buy a lavish £10.5million home in Hollywood as the family feud rumbles on. The eldest of David and Victoria Beckham's kids has opted to splash on the pricey home after previously renting with Nicola as a temporary base away from his parents.
The luxurious property boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms and shows an indication Brooklyn sees his life stateside now.

But while the purchase has been labelled as a "dagger to the heart" of his parents, it's denied the move has anything to do with the recent family fall out. Brooklyn has continuously snubbed his parents in recent months, including shunning his dad's 50th birthday celebrations.

He also opted against sending a public message of support for the former footballer's knighthood last week. And while the rest of the Beckham clan sent gushing Father's Day messages on social media, Brooklyn appeared to once again shy away from any public adulation.
Now, despite speculation due to the move, sources have moved to block any rumours the new home location had anything to do with the feud. Instead, a source told us: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics.
"Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him."
On Tuesday, Brooklyn's brothers Romeo and Cruz both took to social media to share cryptic posts amid the family turmoil. It came as Victoria was among other family members reportedly left "disgusted" after Brooklyn's Father's Day and knighthood snub.
Taking to Instagram, Romeo shared a post of himself with a pal, labelling it "family" with a crossed fingers emoji. He later shared a series throwback snaps of his mum Victoria and dad David looking very youthful.

Some of the image showed a fresh-faced Victoria with a pram or one of their sons in tow.
Meanwhile, Cruz shared a similarly cryptic post. He uploaded a screengrab of Carly Simon's hit You're So Vain, before going on to share a poster with the words: "If I would stick my pen in my heart/ Spill it all over the stage/ Would it satisfy you?"

As the family continues its fallout, David is finally set to be honoured with a knighthood. David will be honoured at Buckingham Palace later this year, but the special day that he has dreamed of for so many years will be tinged with sadness as Brooklyn and his wife Nicola are not set to attend, according to reports.
While David will be supported by his wife Victoria, 51, sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13, Brooklyn is likely to skip his dad's biggest career milestone yet.

Joan Cornellà returns to Hong Kong with solo exhibition after four years

We've all had that moment when we're mindlessly scrolling through Instagram when one of Joan Cornellà's illustrations pops up and you can't help but let out a guilty chuckle. Absurd, and maybe even a little creepy at first glance (what with his signature dead-eye characters doing unhinged things and all), Cornellà's dark humour hits a nerve – it's twisted, but weirdly relatable. So, it's no surprise that Hong Kong has a soft spot for the Spanish artist's twisted worldview. Now returning after four years, Joan Cornellà is back with a solo exhibition in town this July. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming show, from event info like dates and tickets to what you can expect to see. Who is Joan Cornellà and why should you care? With over three million followers on Instagram, Joan Cornellà is a Spanish artist known for his illustrations and comics that pair seemingly cheerful cartoonish visuals with social commentary. His work pokes fun at the bleak side of humanity, and the obsessions and flaws of society with a hard (and creepy) grin, making you laugh while possibly questioning your life choices. Cornellà's past shows in Hong Kong were a massive hit with fans showing up for his dark, satirical take on life, so you can expect nothing less for his 2025 exhibition in Hong Kong. When and where is Joan Cornellà's Hong Kong exhibition? We don't know about you, but the bustling Central area plus the contrast of The Fringe Club's historic setting seems to be the perfect fit for Cornellà's chaotic energy. Mark your calendars for: Dates: July 11-26, 2025 (12pm-8pm); July 27, 2025 (12pm-5pm) Location: The Fringe Club, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central Tickets for Joan Cornellà's Hong Kong exhibition 2025 Tickets are going to sell out fast, so book early to avoid disappointment. The exhibition will showcase an array of Cornellà's works, including over 100 of the artist's original drawings on paper, new limited-edition figures, and new limited-edition prints. A range of merch will also be available, including a new book and new T-shirts up for grabs.

Channel 4 star who vomited updates fans after girlfriend slept with another man

The Channel 4 star who vomited after agreeing to let his partner sleep with another man has shared some candid updates on his sex life. Couple Tom and Lauren appeared on the new reality series Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, which encourages couples to push the boundaries in their relationship, including considering open relationships. During the episode on June 13, the couple agreed to take things to another level in the bedroom after a candid discussion with non-monogamy expert Effy Blue. Afterwards, Lauren was seen reassuring Tom, adding to the camera that it was 'absolutely insane' to see him with the 'confidence' for them to have their individual fun before reuniting at the end of the night. The camera then panned to Tom rushing to the bathroom to vomit, telling Lauren it was 'going to be horrible' and that he felt 'absolutely petrified and sick' as she tried to comfort him. After a strong reaction to the turn of events, Tom and Lauren took to social media yesterday to address viewers. When asked if they would do a 'two male, one female' threesome, they replied: 'It's certainly something we would consider.' Another asked if they would 'play with' him and his wife and they explained: 'never say never' but they would 'want to build a connection first'. One fan asked what their 'first time' was like to which they said it was 'awkward and tense'. 'We were both nervous but learned a lot and loved it,' they added. To others they recommended swinging apps and confirmed they don't have any 'parties' in the schedule yet. 'What did you learn the most on the show,' one person asked, to which they said: 'Communication between the two of us, even the little things, and Tom learned to love the body he's in.' In a post on their main account, they added: 'Overwhelmed with all the messages & support guys, thank you everyone, we are so glad that Tom's story resonated with so many of you, still smiling from that last episode on Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. Viewers expressed more praise in the comments after the pair managed to turn their fear into a success story. 'I say again. Amazing couple, amazing energy. Living life to the max,' rockape652 commented. 'We watched it and your our favourite couple from the show! We loved seeing you guys grow and have fun!' secretlifeofaswinger added. 'Thought Tom was super brave good luck guy,' gracew9019 shared. In a post ahead of the episode in which they were dancing to Stromzy's Own It, they shared: 'Thank you everyone for all your support so far, our next episode is out next Friday 10pm, 'Remember please be kind, we went on there to be open & honest and are both very happy together, remember they cut so much out for the drama xxx.' The initial response to Tom's vomiting was mixed from fans who were concerned about the 'graphic' nature of the content. 'I'm no prude, but this is unnecessarily graphic and getting away with it by being 'educational,' manunhappy77B said at the time. More Trending Racingfan21 echoed: 'Tom needs help and support he shouldn't be anywhere near this show ffs #OpenHouse.' The network is all too used to airing provocative shows such as their recent series Virgin Island, which left viewers gobsmacked and uncomfortable as 12 'adult virgins' were sent on a sex retreat. Nevertheless, the show proved itself a hit and will return with a second season. View More » Open House: The Great Sex Experiment is available to watch on Channel 4. Got a story?
