CBSE superintendent tier-II exam 2025 answer key released; challenge window open until July 20
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has uploaded the answer keys and scanned copies of OMR sheets for the Tier-II examination held on July 5, 2025, for recruitment to the post of Superintendent. Candidates can access these documents on the official website. Candidates who find discrepancies in the answer keys have the opportunity to submit challenges online. To do so, they must use the 'Submit Key Challenge' link provided on the website. After selecting the question they wish to challenge via the dropdown menu, they can mark the answer option they believe to be correct. If more than one option seems correct, multiple selections are allowed. In case a candidate selects an incorrect option by mistake, they can update it using the 'Click to Update your Answer' option. This process can be repeated for multiple questions. Challenges will be accepted exclusively through the online portal until July 20, 2025, up to 11:59 p.m. Submissions via email, post, or in person will not be entertained. A fee of ₹1000 per challenged question must be paid online using a credit or debit card by the same deadline. Any applicable refunds will be credited to the same card used for the payment, and candidates are advised to use their own cards for the transaction. Each challenge accompanied by the required fee will be reviewed by subject experts. If an error is confirmed, the Board will issue a policy decision and refund the fee. The decision of the subject experts will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained regarding the matter. The CBSE Class 12 supplementary exams was conducted on the basis of the syllabus prescribed for the board examination for the session 2024-25. Last year, of the total 1,31,396 students appearing in the CBSE Class 12 supplementary exams, as many as 1,27,437 appeared and 37,957 students passed taking the pass percentage to 29.78 per cent. In the CBSE Class 12 examinations held this year, a total of 17,04,367 students were registered. Out of these, 16,92,794 students appeared, and 14,96,307 students passed the exam. The CBSE Class 12 result was declared on May 13. From the academic session 2024–25 onward, CBSE has introduced a 'Relative Grading' system, aimed at reducing academic stress and unhealthy competition among students. Unlike the previous fixed grading model — which allocated grades based on specific mark ranges (such as 91–100 for A1, 81–90 for A2) — the new system assesses a student's performance in comparison to their peer group. As a result, the cutoff for each grade may vary depending on subject-wise performance trends and the number of passing candidates.
