Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce technically made red carpet debut at TEU

It was a BIG night for all you Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fans out there. On Tuesday, the annual Tight End University -- in which Kelce and others host players at that position for a few days -- had an afterparty at a Nashville bar ... and Swift performed Shake It Off for everyone in attendance. Kelce was there backstage, dancing and in awe as usual.
It was the second consecutive night in which Swift attended a TEU party -- on Monday, she delivered an incredible photobomb of Kelce. And hidden on all of this was monumental moment that you might not have even caught: they walked a red carpet together for the first time before heading into a bar earlier in the week.
This is HUGE. Fans have been waiting through Grammys, NFL events, the Met Gala, you name it. And here we have it: their first red carpet walk as a couple. The TEU Instagram account captured it. She wore a green plaid ensemble, he wore a white top and shorts with some yellow accents. They were all smiles. It's the best.
Watch and enjoy:
Hopefully this means we'll see more red carpets from the adorable pair in the near future.

Tyler Shough had a great response to criticism of New Orleans' food scene

'Maybe that's why you're not on the team anymore' Credit where it's due -- Tyler Shough is no stranger to the New Orleans restaurant scene. The team's new quarterback has worked hard to ingratiate himself to Saints fans and his new community, and that means doing more than learning to shuck his own oysters. It means standing on business when others turn their noses up at the food, too. Former Saints wideout Equanimeous St. Brown and his brother, Detroit Lions Pro Bowler Amon-Ra St. Brown, have found success with their St. Brown Podcast endeavors chopping it up during the season and interviewing other players around the NFL. But they've also drawn some ire for downplaying the food in New Orleans, which apparently disappointed Equanimous. During a sit-down chat with Shough at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, he reflected on his meals in Louisiana as "overrated" and "regular," not standing out compared to other cities he'd visited. "Really?" Shough said, ducking his head and peering up at his interviewer. "Dude, maybe that's why you're not on the team anymore." They all shared a laugh at that, but good on Shough for standing up for his new hometown. As for the restaurants Shough would recommend? He said his first stops included Drago's Seafood Restaurant (famed for their oysters, which were Shough's first meal in town) and Chophouse New Orleans, a popular steakhouse but acknowledged he's still getting acclimated and is eager to learn more hot spots in the city. New Orleanians are proud of their culinary skills, and it didn't take long for Shough to learn that reputation is worth defending.

What is Tight End U? Taylor Swift makes special appearance at event

Taylor Swift is embracing her football era. Already in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift is even getting involved in the NFL's offseason activities. The fifth-annual Tight End University kicked off on June 23 in Nashville and will wrap up on June 26. While the focus is typically on the field, the attention was on the stage for the Tight Ends and Friends benefit concert on Tuesday, June 24. The founders of the event, Kelce, George Kittle and Greg Olsen teased a few surprise guests would perform at the concert when tickets went on sale. On Tuesday night, Swift ended up being one of them. Tickets sold out when Swift was seen arriving alongside Kelce on Monday, June 23. All ticket sales go to charities, according to The Tennessean (part of the USA TODAY Network). The charities include Kelce's nonprofit 87 and Running, which helps disadvantaged youths; The Heartest Yard, which helps kids with congenital heart disease, and a charity of Kittle's choosing. Six months after concluding her Eras Tour, Swift emerged from the shadows at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville after being introduced by fellow surprise guest, Kane Brown. She ended up performing her hit "Shake It Off," dedicating the performance to, "our favorite players who are going to play, the tight ends." While Swift and friends were the main event on Tuesday night, there is still work to be done for the tight ends in attendance. Here's what to know about the football portion of the program. What is Tight End University? Tight End University was founded in 2021 by Kelce, Kittle and Olsen as a way to bring the position's community together and to improve their play on the field. The three-day program offers players a chance to do on-field work, study film and hold discussions about various topics to perfect their craft. In addition to the benefits for NFL tight ends, there is also a charitable component to the summit, which is achieved through their sponsors and benefit concert. Ultimately, Kittle hopes that the event helps get other players paid. "The only way for the tight end market to continue to grow is if everybody's getting paid," Kittle said on "The Dan Patrick Show" on June 16. "That's the only way to do it. You can't just have one guy do it and then it just sits for three or four years because then you're stuck and it's stagnant and no one's getting paid." He pointed out that the top tight ends were getting paid around $15 million when the event first started, but that number is now around $20 million. It's not just about the money, however. They are focused on skills related to the game, but also the things that happen off the field, like financial advising and investing. "We try to talk about all the things a tight end does because we're the only position that gets to do everything: Pass pro, run blocking, catching the football, scoring touchdowns, running the ball sometimes, so we kind of try to cover as much as we can in the limited time we have with these guys and just try to give them a step forward in their careers to help them make a team in the upcoming camp," Kittle said. Getting enrolled in Tight End University isn't a difficult process, as Kittle said as long as he has an email address or can get a hold of them, all active players are invited. Typically 80 to 90 players attend the event in the Music City each year. Given the star-studded concert that took place and the professional advantage it has for NFL tight ends, perhaps that number will rise in the future. Or may other position groups will try to capture some of that magic. USA TODAY's Bryan West contributed to this report.

George Kittle will play 'until I don't have fun anymore,' pursue WWE career

George Kittle is entering his age-32 season in 2025, but the San Francisco 49ers tight end doesn't appear to have retirement on his mind any time soon. Kittle was asked in a Tuesday appearance on "Bussin' With The Boys" about when he might walk away from the NFL. "Literally until I don't have fun anymore," Kittle replied. "Or if Claire (his wife) looks at me and goes, 'You kinda look like (expletive) out there, you should retire.' I'll be like, 'All right.'" Kittle hasn't reached the latter stage yet. He continues to be one of the NFL's top tight ends and is coming off a season during which he posted 78 catches, 1,106 yards and eight touchdowns across 15 games. He made his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl and was named to the All-Pro second team for the third time in his career. As such, Kittle believes he still has at least a few years left in the tank – provided he can remain healthy. "I think if I get to like I'm 35 and it hurts just to put pants on in the morning, I think I'll be like, 'Ah, this isn't that much fun anymore,' and I'll have a conversation with myself," Kittle explained. "But I'm feeling great right now." NFL COACHING HOT SEAT: Brian Daboll, Mike McDaniel facing pressure in 2025 While Kittle is happy to be playing in the NFL and "hasn't daydreamed" about retirement, he is excited about the potential opportunities he might have when he does call it quits. He believes he could eventually "talk football" somewhere and also noted he is hoping to be an extra in Henry Cavill's upcoming TV series based on the "Warhammer" games. However, there is one opportunity he is hoping to pursue above all else. "I would love to do WWE," Kittle said. "I think there's definitely opportunity within that world, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of it." Kittle, a long-time wrestling fan, has appeared in WWE programming before. Most notably, he was at WrestleMania 39 in 2023, where he came out of the crowd clad in a "TEU" tank top and helped Pat McAfee defeat The Miz. That said, Kittle acknowledged any future effort he makes to join WWE full-time would take a lot more practice than his guest spots in the past. "I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a while so I wouldn't look like an idiot out there," Kittle explained. "I've been in a WWE ring like three times. I don't know what I'm doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works, but I haven't moonsaulted off the top rope at WrestleMania like Pat McAfee did." The 49ers will be hoping Kittle's WWE training won't begin for another handful of years. San Francisco signed Kittle to a four-year contract extension in April that will tether him to the organization through his age-36 season in 2029.
