Man spends £850 to try £225 Louis Vuitton chocolate bag
Carmie Sellitto, 26, spotted the limited-edition treat on his Instagram explore page and became determined to be among the first to review it. The designer dessert is part of a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and celebrated pastry chef Frédéric Bau and is only available in Paris, New York, Singapore and Shanghai. Carmie had to fork out £500 to secure an appointment at Louis Vuitton's café in Paris, where the handmade dessert is exclusively sold. He also bought last-minute Eurostar tickets to the French capital for £350. Carmie, a content creator from Shepherd's Bush, London: "I'd never seen anyone else film a video trying it, so I wanted to be the first. "It was absolutely worth the money. "I enjoyed every single bite of it. "I wouldn't be surprised if they sold it for £500 just because how unique it was." The chocolate egg, weighing a hefty 1.5kg, came in a huge Louis Vuitton bag, which Carmie carried across Paris and back to London with extreme care. Carmie said: 'Carrying it back gave me so much anxiety. "I was so on edge the whole way home. "If it broke before I could film it, all that effort would've been for nothing.' The item cost £225. (Image: SWNS) Carmie, who is known for trying pricey and viral luxury food, said the chocolate exceeded expectations – both in taste and detail. He said: "There was a zip design on it and when you ran your finger over it, it felt like you could actually unzip it. "You could even feel the Louis Vuitton logo with your tongue. "The chocolate had a hazelnut praline filling and the shell had the most satisfying crunch. "It might've been the placebo effect from how much I spent but it genuinely was one of the best chocolates I've ever had." Recommended Reading While the chocolate bag itself cost £225, Carmie ended up spending nearly four times that amount between the booking fee and travel costs. He said: 'When I told the Louis Vuitton staff I came from London just for the chocolate and they looked at me like I was crazy. "But after the video went live, they actually reached out and thanked me. "It was really sweet."

The alpine 'dupe' in Wales that could save on expensive travel costs
A holiday giant has created a list of UK 'dupes' for famous international destinations. Self-catering accommodation specialists Hoseasons has compiled the list of the best spots in the UK that mimic some of the most unique holiday destinations worldwide. They say these places offer similar views, activities and experiences, but without the hefty travel price tag. It is seven strong list with one part of Wales in the mix. Hoseasons said: "We all have those bucket-list destinations that we hope to finally visit someday, whether it's to experience a new culture, take in the natural wonders or even just relax on the beach. Unfortunately, it can take some time before we're able to jet off to these locales, but sometimes you're able to get a taste of them, without even leaving the UK." The Welsh destination picked is Eryri National Park. Hoseasons say it is a dupe for Savoie in the French Alps.
