February 27 - Philadelphia 76ers guard Eric Gordon underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist and will be re-evaluated in approximately three months, the team announced Thursday.
The timeline means the 36-year-old veteran will miss the rest of the regular season, and the Sixers are not currently in the postseason picture.
Gordon went under the knife on Wednesday. He is shooting 40.9 percent from 3-point range and averaging 6.8 points, 1.7 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 39 games (13 starts) this season.
Drafted No. 7 overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008, Gordon was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2016-17 with the Houston Rockets.
Gordon has career averages of 15.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 925 games (665 starts) with the Clippers (2008-11, 2023), New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans (2011-16), Rockets (2016-23), Phoenix Suns (2024) and 76ers.

James Harden in legal bind after his nephew is accused of raping a woman at his NYE party

Los Angeles Clippers basketball star James Harden has been hit with a lawsuit from a woman claiming she was sexually assaulted by his nephew after attending a New Year's Eve party at his mansion. Texas real estate agent Marisa Watley, 40, claims she was raped by Justice Armani Blackburn - the son of Harden's sister Arnique Jelks - after a party in Harris County, Texas on December 31, 2024. While only Blackburn is accused of sexual assault, the NBA star has also been named in the complaint. The suit alleges that his security team were aware that several women were passed out from intoxication in the house and that she was left in a vulnerable condition. The complaint also claims that the security 'was aware that Mr Blackburn had engaged in criminal conduct towards others' on the night in question. Harden, who is the ex-boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian, has been sued for negligence after his team 'recklessly failed to protect Ms Watley' on his own property, and 'the result was sexual assault from which she will suffer indefinitely,' the suit adds. has reached out to James Harden's agent Troy Payne and the Los Angeles Clippers for comment. According to the lawsuit, Watley was with two of her friends at a restaurant when the trio became aware of a party happening at a nearby club called Polekatz. When the group arrived to the club one of Watley's friends is said to have pointed out at around 3:30am that Harden was there with a group in the VIP section. Soon after the same friend learned of an after party happening at the NBA legend's home. Watley then claims she got into an Uber with her two friends without knowing the destination, before arriving at Harden's property. The suit reads: 'There was at least one security guard at the gate, and a guard was reviewing guest identification and instructing the guests to leave their phones in their cars. 'Of course, Ms Watley could not do this because she had come in an Uber.' According to the complaint, it is believed the guard, who checked Watley and her friends' identification before directing them to go into the 'studio' area of Harden's pad, was armed with a gun. Blackburn allegedly approached the three women at some point in the early morning, though Watley claims she initially did not know he was Harden's nephew. After introducing himself, Blackburn is said to have offered the trio a drink from the bottle of liquor he was holding, they each took a small sip from the bottle. Watley claims that her memory from that point onwards is hazy. She also recalls another woman asleep on a couch in the studio. In the complaint she also alleges that Blackburn repeatedly said to her 'come on, come on' while tapping her on the chest, as though he wanted her to join him somewhere urgently. The next thing she remembers, according to the lawsuit, is 'being shocked into consciousness while lying face down on a bed with a man behind her having aggressive sex with her.' Watley claims she was in a 'dream-like state and was not fully awake' at the time of the alleged rape. As he then neared an orgasm, Blackburn is accused of demanding to know if she was on birth control. She recalls saying 'no, no, no' before realizing that the man having sex with her was Blackburn. The plaintiff says in the complaint that she then began frantically looking for her phone and asking him where she could find it. Blackburn allegedly said he had no idea where it was. Watley claims one of Harden's security guards entered the room shortly after the incident and ordered her to leave the mansion and kicked her out before she could find her phone. After telling the guard that she had no way of traveling without a phone she alleges that the guard told her that 'Elaina' - which is her sister's name - was coming to pick her up, though it is unclear how that had been arranged. He then walked her to the front gates and closed them behind her. Watley claims in the complaint that outside the property she stopped a woman walking her dog and asked for help before her two friends pulled up in a car and she quickly got in. She was then finally able to call her sister at around 2:30pm. Watley alleges that she went to an emergency room on the same day after struggling to recover mentally from what occurred, and she now speaks with a heavy stutter - a symptom of severe trauma. With the help of her sister, she is currently seeking therapy and psychiatric help. Harden, who has an estimated net worth of $200million, is now facing allegations of negligence after Watley claimed his security personnel deliberately delayed and prevented her rescue from the property. Her two friends are understood to have spent hours searching for Watley after they also lost consciousness shortly after drinking from Blackburn's bottle before later waking up, according to the complaint. When they demanded the security guards let them look for their friend, they claim one of the guards refused and told them there were no more women in the house, the lawsuit says. Despite missing personal items themselves, and not being allowed to look for them, one of Watley's friends found her iPhone and took it with her. After using her phone to get in touch with Elaina, according to the complaint, Watley's sister contacted a friend who was able to speak with Harden's sister Arnique. Through the mutual friend, Elaina is said to have threatened that Watley's friends were prepared to call the police if she was not found. Harden's security team are said to have then kicked Watley out of the mansion shortly after. According to the lawsuit, Watley is seeking 'economic, compensatory and punitive damages' after the alleged incident.

Zander Clark set for Hearts No.1 chance as the club deal with goalkeeping issues

Zander Clark and Ryan Fulton will compete to be Hearts' first-choice goalkeeper under Derek McInnes with Craig Gordon injured. The Edinburgh club have been dealing with injuries to four keepers since the end of last season and Gordon is already ruled out of their Premier Sports Cup group games next month. Clark and Fulton are resuming full training now after their own fitness issues. Gordon, 42, was Hearts No.1 last term but is expected to miss a number of weeks as he strives to overcome a shoulder injury which threatens to preclude him from his own testimonial against Sunderland on 26 July. He is also currently rated doubtful for the opening Premiership match of the 2025/26 campaign against Aberdeen at Tynecastle Park on 4 August. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Clark is almost fully recovered from a foot ligament problem suffered in April. Second-choice behind Gordon for almost the entire 2024/25 campaign, he returned to play in Hearts' final league game at Kilmarnock. The injury resurfaced after 22 minutes and Fulton took his place - only for the latter to damage his groin and need several weeks to recuperate. Even fourth-choice keeper Harry Stone returned to Riccarton from a loan at Ayr United with a knock which precluded him from their last four games of the season. Clark and Fulton will travel to Spain with Hearts this weekend along with either Stone or Liam McFarlane. Three keepers will be included in a 28-man pool for the pre-season training camp under new head coach Derek McInnes. Clark, 32, is poised to get the chance to reclaim the goalkeeping slot having been No.1 during season 2023/24 under former manager Steven Naismith. 'We're slowly getting a bit of progress with Zander and Ryan Fulton,' explained McInnes. 'Hopefully, both lads are coming to Spain with a view to training. There's no point in coming if they weren't going to train. They've had a good few days and they've had the all clear. I think they're actually going to do a bit of work today with us, which is good. So both lads will be in a place where they're available for the games in Spain. As it stands they will be available for the League Cup but if they're not, we'll need to react to that.' Scotland cap set for Hearts No.1 chance as season 2025/26 kicks-off Gordon will not make the Spain trip, leaving fellow Scotland internationalist Clark as the most experienced goalkeeper available. 'Craig won't travel because he's a bit further behind. He's making slow progress,' added McInnes. 'Whether that progress comes quick enough for him to be available for the opening league game, remains to be seen. He's certainly not going to be available for the League Cup games. He has a nerve issue between his neck and forearm, they have identified what the problem is.' Further ties take place against Hamilton Academical on 15 July, Stirling Albion on 19 July and Dumbarton on 23 July. Hearts then play Sunderland in Gordon's testimonial in their final pre-season test ahead of the new Premiership campaign.

Sunderland fans to travel to Hearts in numbers as EPL meets SPFL

Tynecastle will host English Premier League opponents for Craig Gordon's testimonial Sign up to our Hearts newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! Sunderland fans are to travel to Tynecastle Park in numbers for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon's testimonial match next month. Newly-promoted to the English Premier League, the Wearside club are the opponents for a friendly in Gordon's honour on Saturday, 26 July, which looks set to attract a healthy mix of home and away supporters. Sunderland have been allocated 3,185 tickets for Tynecastle's Roseburn Stand and are currently selling those to fans based on loyalty points. They expect a high demand and are confident of using up the full allocation in Edinburgh. Hearts fans are also likely to turn out in large numbers to acclaim Gordon, who is enjoying his second spell in Gorgie and also played for Celtic and Sunderland. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The 42-year-old has been awarded a testimonial for 11 years' service to Hearts in total. He emerged from the club's youth system to make his senior debut in 2001, and thereafter established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper. He was sold to Sunderland in a £9m deal in 2007, a British record for a keeper at that time. He spent six years at Celtic between 2014 and 2020 before returning to Hearts, the team he has supported since childhood. Gordon won the 2006 Scottish Cup at Tynecastle and is a member of the club's Hall of Fame. He is also their most-capped Scotland internationalist and record European appearance holder. He currently holds 81 Scotland caps but missed friendlies against Iceland and Liechtenstein earlier this month as he has been recovering from a shoulder injury. He is confident of being available to play against Sunderland, with fellow Hearts keepers Zander Clark, Ryan Fulton and Harry Stone also recovering from injury in recent weeks. Players returned to Riccarton for pre-season training and testing at the end of last week and Gordon played down concerns over the lack of fully-fit goalies. 'Just as well we didn't get to the [Scottish] cup final [in May] because I don't know who would have played in goal,' he joked. 'Yes, it's not a great place for the goalkeepers at the moment. Luckily enough, we've got a bit of time before the games start up again, so I think we'll all be fine.' Head coach Regis Le Bris was appointed 12 months ago and guided Sunderland back to the Premier League at the first attempt. They came through the play-offs, beating Sheffield United in the final, to rejoin England's top flight after an eight-year absence. Hearts, under the guidance of new head coach Derek McInnes, open their Scottish Premiership season nine days later. Aberdeen are the visitors as McInnes faces his former employers in his first league game in charge at Tynecastle. Six new signings have arrived so far - Norwegian right-back Christian Borchgrevink, Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis, Belgian striker Elton Kabangu, Irish midfielder Oisin McEntee, Portuguese forward Claudio Braga and Scottish centre-back Stuart Findlay. More are likely to follow in the weeks ahead. READ MORE: Hearts transfers latest
