Tom Daley reveals his pain for what he went through as a teen: ‘I felt helpless'

The British Olympic diving gold medallist retired after the Paris 2024 Olympics, having first risen to fame at the 2008 Beijing Games aged 14.
'There's all kinds of things I didn't even know I should have tried to protect from a young age,' he told The Independent at the premiere of 1.6 Seconds, a documentary featuring unseen footage from his journey as a young teen.
'Maybe if it was growing up in this day and age and having social media, I might have had a little more control over what was released and the narrative.'

He competes so hard, fights every match, fights every point. You can see that he really leaves it all out there. So that's something that I admire.' Meanwhile, Norrie has fallen to 81 in the rankings but defeated Daniil Medvedev in the opening round and believes he has turned his run of form around. Former world number eight Norris said: 'I'm happy to be through and enjoying my tennis again. I feel like I have a really good game for the clay in general. 'I think it's down to, if I'm moving well and giving nothing away, I can be really difficult to beat.' On Fearnley's rapid rise through the ranks, he added: 'This is his first clay season and he has played unreal. It is going to be tough playing him.' The winner could face Novak Djokovic in the last-16, with the three-time French Open champion taking on Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic.

Former EastEnders star NATALIE CASSIDY has claimed that Paloma Faith used to BULLY her at school. Actress Natalie, 42, who played Sonia Fowler on the BBC1 soap, made the shock confession about popstar Paloma, 43, who grew up in the same area of East London as Natalie, on her podcast Life With Nat. 3 3 She revealed: 'Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me. We've spoken about it and she has said sorry about that. Gutted.'
