Cops reveal how girl, 5, plunged 50ft from Disney Dream cruise ship before hero dad leapt into water to save her
COPS have revealed how a five year old girl fell into the sea from a Disney cruise ship in a terrifying incident. The child was rescued from the waves when her dad heroically leapt into the water to save her. 5 5 5 She fell from the fourth deck of the $900 million Disney Dream vessel on June 29 as the ship was heading from the Bahamas to Florida. Her hero dad, 37, managed to keep her afloat for 20 minutes before rescue services arrived at the scene. But the Florida Sheriff's Office has now shared its findings on how exactly the nightmare incident unfolded. Officials say that the girl had been sitting on a railing and fell into the sea when she lost her balance. Her father did not see the incident to start with, and was alerted to the situation when his wife made him aware. "After the girl's mother alerted her husband, who didn't see the incident, he jumped into the ocean to save his daughter," a Sheriff's Office spokesperson said. Crucially, the report has debunked online speculation that her dad had intentionally placed her on the railing to take photos. The Broward Sheriff's Office said the five-year-old fell "backwards through a porthole" by herself after losing her balance. Witnesses heard the mother screaming and saying "she's five and can't swim". Once alert to the incident, the dad quickly leapt to the rescue and managed to keep his daughter afloat for 20 minutes, according to detectives. They were then rescued from the waves and brought back on board. Hundreds of passengers watched on as the terrifying events unfolded. Passenger Monica Shannon told the Daily Mail that "the parents were playing shuffleboard and the girl was climbing on the railings. "And as she went to climb up again she flew off." She added that high winds on the day could have contributed to the child falling into the ocean. The ship's captain notified passengers of the incident once the rescue effort was complete. A Disney Cruise Lines spokesperson said: "The crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water. "We commend our crew members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes. "We are committed to the safety and well-being of our guests, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our safety protocols." 5 5

Unreleased Beyoncé music stolen from car on Cowboy Carter tour
Unreleased music from Beyoncé was stolen from her choreographer's car in Atlanta, according to police. The 'Single Ladies' singer is on a world tour to promote her country album 'Cowboy Carter.' She has performed three shows in Atlanta since Thursday, and her last show in the city is Monday night. Atlanta police said in a press release Monday authorities responded to a report of car theft last Tuesday. According to investigators, a Jeep Wagoneer was broken into, and two suitcases were stolen. ABC News reported, citing police documents, the suitcases contained music from Beyoncé that has yet to be released, along with show plans. The owner of the suitcases claimed to be a choreographer for Beyoncé. Police identified the theft victims as choreographer Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue, a dancer for Beyoncé. The two told police they parked the Wagoneer, which was a rental car, at a local food hall, and about an hour later, they found the trunk window had been damaged and the suitcase had been stolen, the Associated Press reported. The reportedly stolen materials were stored on five hard drives, according to the AP, which cited police documents. Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones and luxury clothing and accessories were also reported stolen, the AP reported. Blue told police the hard drives contained "watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show and the past and future set list,' according to ABC News. The Independent has reached out to a representative for Beyoncé. Police had yet to catch the thief as of late Monday afternoon, but, according to the police documents, they have taken steps to find the suspect. Authorities were drawn to a location via a laptop ping, and officers were sent to canvas the area. A 'suspicious person stop" was conducted in the area, police said. Cameras were also able to capture the theft, and investigators found 'two very light' fingerprints. After her last show in Atlanta, Beyoncé is heading to Las Vegas to finish her tour. She will be at Allegiant Stadium on July 25 and 26. Cowboy Carter was Beyoncé's eighth No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart. The artist also made history, becoming the first Black woman to hit No. 1 on Top Country Albums.
