Spoilers Ahead For War 2
Bobby Deol's Villain Connects To Alia Bhatt's Alpha
In the post-credits sequence, Bobby Deol makes a surprise appearance, marking his official entry into the Spy Universe. The scene shows him stamping the logo of an agency on a young girl's hand. When the girl asks what it means, Bobby's character answers, 'Alpha." He explains that Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and their program's motto: 'The first, the fastest, the strongest."

This intriguing interaction has fuelled speculation online that the young girl may be a younger version of Alia Bhatt's character in Alpha. Bobby Deol is expected to play the main antagonist in the film, possibly with ties to training Alia's character before turning into her nemesis. Fans believe this twist adds a fascinating mentor-turned-enemy dynamic to the upcoming story.
War 2 Expands The YRF Spy Universe
The post-credits moment has sent fans into a frenzy, as it firmly establishes a bridge between War 2 and Alpha, which also stars Sharvari alongside Alia. By revealing Bobby Deol's villain in advance, YRF has laid the groundwork for a darker, more layered expansion of its Spy Universe.
As for War 2 itself, Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Kabir with effortless charisma, while Jr NTR's Bollywood debut as Vikram/Raghu has been praised for its intensity and screen presence. Critics have pointed out that while the plot feels predictable and the VFX underwhelming at times, the on-screen chemistry between Hrithik and Jr NTR keeps the narrative gripping. Their performances, supported by Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana, create a compelling action spectacle that fans are unlikely to forget soon.
With War 2 already pulling strong numbers and setting up Alpha through its post-credit tease, the Spy Universe continues to expand in ambitious new directions.

War 2 Day 1 early box office: Hrithik-Jr NTR may have spy universe's lowest opener

'War 2', headlined by Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, seems to have performed below trade expectations. The Ayan Mukerji directorial collected around Rs 30 crore nett in Hindi on its opening day, and garnered the same amount or slightly more from its Telugu reported by the trade website Sacnilk, YRF's sixth film in the spy universe has grossed over Rs 60 crore (approx) domestically. In Hindi, though, the collection seems to be even lower than 'Ek Tha Tiger', which is the lowest opener in the spy Salman Khan-starrer collected around Rs 33 crore nett in 2012 - way before YRF converted the spy films into a universe. The report suggested that the trade industry was expecting 'War 2' to open at least close to 'Tiger 3', which collected around Rs 43 crore nett with its Hindi version. The film, however, has got a big Independence Day weekend window to perform smoothly at the ticket window. While the real test will begin on Monday, the three days ahead also stand crucial to determine the audience's larger interest, especially in Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana - NTR's turf - where Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' is also performing well.'War 2' has received mixed reactions from critics, and it will be interesting to see if the reviews bring any dent to its box office by Aditya Chopra, the film also features Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana in important roles.- EndsTune InTrending Reel IN THIS STORY#Hrithik Roshan#Kiara Advani

War 2 All India Opening Day Box Office Estimate: Hrithik Roshan and NTR film starts with lower than expected Rs 60 crore gross on Thursday

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani among others, had an ordinary opening day at the India box office. It was the second most preferred movie option in the country, behind Coolie. Coolie put up collections of slightly over Rs 75 crore gross while War 2 is eyeing a number of around Rs 60 crore; Rs 15 crore lower than Rajinikanth's movie with Lokesh Kanagaraj. War 2 Opens With Ordinary India Gross Collections Of Rs 60 Crore War 2 has packed a Hindi net opening day of around Rs 29 crore (Rs 35 crore gross) based on early estimates. The Telugu version of the movie has put up around Rs 25 crore, which is excellent for a dubbed Hindi movie, but underwhelming for a movie featuring a tier-A Tollywood star. The collections for the Tamil version are negligible. War 2 Heads For Extended India Weekend Collections Of Around Rs 250 Crore Gross The movie heads for an extended opening weekend of around Rs 250 crore gross. While this number looks good on face value, a movie featuring top billing stars like Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR should be aiming much higher. The target for War 2 will be to somehow end up with higher gross collections than its release rival, for some sort of a moral victory. Beating the global collections of Coolie seem like an uphill task at the moment, but it can change if either Coolie drops big or War 2 manages to sustain. War 2 Fails To Meet The Pre-Release Opening Day Expectations War 2 was always seen as a film that's too big to fail. However, the opening day suggests that even the biggies can have it tough sometimes. When the film went on floors, it was expected that the movie would take an opening of over Rs 150 crore. After the release of the promos, the expectations were scaled down. The final opening day numbers are lower than anything, anyone would have expected. War 2 In Theatres
