Andor: Why the First Planet Attacked is Naboo
When it comes to Star Wars shows, Andor was pretty sparing when it came to references, but while it wasn't outright mentioned, some fans did speculate that the planet that Luthen and Kleya were on when they bomb the bridge was Naboo a.k.a. the central planet of conflict in The Phantom Menace.
What's interesting is, the planet has been confirmed by writer Tom Bissell who says that it was integral that Luthen attack that planet first when he wants to make a statement to the Emperor. In a recent interview with Backstory Magazine, Bissell explains:
'We know that we were going to have their first act of terrorism, Kleya and Luthen together, and I argued it should be on Naboo, because that is The Emperor's home planet, and if Luthen was going to make his first public statement, I think he is going to stick his thumb into the eye of the guy that he hates more than anymore. So, when Tony heard my reasoning, he was like, 'I like that. Let's do that.''
When the episode first came out, fans had pointed out that the bridge was the giveaway that the planet was Naboo because it's also the same bridge that's used for Padme's funeral at the end of Revenge of the Sith .

For now, fans are still reeling from the ending of Andor and lamenting how 'there won't be another Star Wars project like this,' but seeing all the positive buzz that the series got, maybe there could be room for some more mature-themed projects in the world of Star Wars down the line.
I do admit, it's going to be hard to jump into The Mandalorian and Grogu knowing how solid the themes of Andor were.

Jenna Ortega Says It's Patronizing to be Known for Playing Wednesday
It's no mystery that Jenna Ortega's breakout role was Wednesday , but she had been trying her hand at getting more mature roles even before she was cast as the icon of goth culture with projects like X and Miller's Girl . As it turns out, Ortega has been feeling 'unhappy' about the sudden success of Wednesday , and says it's been tough for her to be taken seriously since she's playing a schoolgirl despite being in her 20s. In a recent talk with Harper's Bazaar, Ortega says: '… Ater the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person… After the pressure, the attention — as somebody who's quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.' For context, Wednesday was such a breakout hit that it managed to get more views than the last season of Stranger Things . Now the actress is expecting to play Wednesday Addams for a few more years, but it's going to be tough on her since the role is for a pretty young girl, and being short, Ortega is already kind of put into a box. Ortega continues: 'You know, it's like how you're dressed in the schoolgirl costume… There's just something about it that's very patronizing. Also, when you're short, people are already physically looking down on you… girls, if they don't stay as this perfect image of how they were first introduced to you, then it's 'Ah, something's wrong. She's changed. She sold her soul.' But you're watching these women at the most pivotal times in their lives; they're experimenting because that's what you do.' For now, Ortega is still thankful for her global fans, but she's trying her best to 'give back to them' while at the same time finding projects that are 'creatively fulfilling' for her. Catch Ortega back in Wednesday when Season 2 comes out Aug. 6 on Netflix.

The Legend of Zelda Movie Allegedly Eyeing Hunter Schaferor as Princess Zelda
It's been pitched before, but it looks like the studios could be taking it seriously this time. According to a rumor from @DanielRPK (via @screentime), Euphoria star Hunter Schafer is being eyed to play the role of Princess Zelda in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda movie directed by Wes Ball. So far, not other cast members have been rumored, but Schafer has been fancast for a while, seeing that she does fit the look of Princess Zelda very well, and it would be a huge move to have a central character in a major franchise played by a trans woman. Admittedly, Schafer has been public about not getting boxed into trans roles, and getting cast as Zelda may be the perfect part for her. We know she already looks the part, but we've yet to really watch her play someone like Zelda who is expected to exude poise and grace—then again, that depends on which kind of Zelda they're adapting. As expected, there are already a lot of transphobic comments coming out about Schafer landing the part, and hopefully Sony and Nintendo will be ready to protect Schafer should they move forward with the casting. As someone whose been a big fan of Schafer since Euphoria , I'm really up for the casting; and I hope she manages to land this role as well as the part of the next Mystique when Marvel Studios is ready to reboot X-Men . The Legend of Zelda movie is expected to hit theaters on March 26, 2027.

Vision Quest Casts Ultron's Wife Jocasta and Human Version of EDITH
We've barely gotten any updates on Disney+'s Vision Quest series, but we've been getting some new casting rumors about characters that will be appearing in the show–specifically other AI like Vision. Besides the return of James Spader as Ultron, Deadline has also reported that T'Nia Miller ( The Haunting of Bly Manor ) has been cast as Jocasta in the series. In the comics, Jocasta was a robot created by Ultron (just like Vision) with the intention to put Janet Van Dyne's (The Wasp) consciousness inside her and make her his robot wife. Apparently that backfires and Jocasta ends up being a force for good. With the changes in Ultron's origins in the MCU, it would be possible that Jocasta's origins will be different, but the leaked concept art for Doomsday did feature concept art for Jocasta who was also played by Michelle Pfeiffer (a.k.a. Janet from Quantumania ). Besides Miller, there is also a rumor going around that Emily Hampshire ( Schitt's Creek ) has also been cast in the series as the human version of EDITH—the AI that was gifted to Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far from Home . EDITH hasn't been explored or mentioned since that movie, but it would make sense for a show about Vision to delve into all the other AI characters in the MCU. I wouldn't be surprised if the original JARVIS showed up, or other AI like Tony Stark's Friday—the AI that helps him right after he lost JARVIS to Ultron. Vision Quest is expected to release on Disney+ sometime in 2026.
