Ammon News - A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck near the coast of Ecuador on Friday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, injuring at least 20 people, damaging buildings in the city of Esmeraldas and temporarily shutting down some oil infrastructure.The quake struck at a depth of 23 km (14.29 miles), EMSC said, with Ecuadorean authorities ruling out issuing a tsunami warning.The government said in a report that 20 people were injured and around 135 families were affected by the earthquake. Several public buildings and private homes were damaged, and some areas also experienced power outages.
President Daniel Noboa, in a post on social media platform X, said the government would work to set up shelters, deliver humanitarian aid kits and "assist with everything our people need." Reuters

It said in a statement on Wednesday that the ban of the Mufti is a clear attempt by the occupation to empty Al-Aqsa of religious authorities who confront its plans and demonstrate the extent and scope of its violations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in general, and Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular. Russian strikes kill two people, injure 10 in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia

Ammon News - Russian strikes killed two people and wounded 10 others, including four children, in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, Governor Ivan Fedorov said on Wednesday. Russian forces carried out 567 attacks over the 24 hours into Wednesday morning across 16 settlements in the region, Fedorov said. Zaporizhzhia has been on the front lines of the war that Russia launched against its smaller neighbour in February 2022. At least nine buildings were damaged in the early morning strikes on the Zaporizhzhia city district alone, Fedorov said on the Telegram messaging app. Zaporizhzhia city is the administrative centre of the broader region.
