Argentina v New Zealand: Lineups and latest Rugby Championship updates
New Zealand, who finished second in last year's edition, claimed a 3-0 series victory against an under-strength France last month. Before South Africa won the Rugby Championship last year, New Zealand were victors in the previous three editions. Speaking ahead of the game, their head coach Scott Robertson is looking forward to the challenge of playing on Argentinian soil.
'We have had a great week of training in Buenos Aires, and the group is ready to go out and perform,' Robertson said. 'Scott [Barrett] and our leaders have led from the front, and there is a lot of focus and motivation in the group for the start of the campaign. We know the Pumas identity is a fast and physical game, and we have selected a team that will embrace the occasion. It has been 30 years since the All Blacks played in Córdoba, and we are looking forward to the passion and energy of the home crowd.
'We have got a balanced and experienced squad. Obviously, we used the three Tests against the French to play our whole squad, and now we are focusing in on a very, very good Argentinian team; they have picked a strong squad. There is a lot of experience in their team too, so it is going to be a great game. We like playing fast; they play fast and skilled rugby. So, it is on.'
New Zealand beat Argentina 42-10 at home in the Rugby Championship last year but lost 30-38 at home. Earlier today Australia pulled off a sensational shock win in South Africa, coming from 22-0 down to win 22-38. Kick-off from Cordoba is at 10.10pm BST.

Goalkeeper John Victor still keen on Premier League transfer despite brutal West Ham snub
'JILTED' John Victor still wants to play in England despite his West Ham snub. Brazilian keeper Victor was left in the lurch at Rio airport while Hammers agreed an £18million fee with Leicester for Mads Hermansen. 3 The Botafogo stopper, 29, pushed for a West Ham move as the clubs haggled and the South Americans had already signed Neto from Bournemouth as a replacement. Despite all that, Victor is still hoping to come to the Prem and is now available to move on loan with a view to a buy. The 6ft 5in goalkeeper joined Botafogo from Brazilian giants Santos in 2024. He helped the John Textor-owned outfit to become Brazilian Serie A champions last season. He also featured for the club in the Club World Cup, keeping a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the group stage. The Brazilian has been linked with Man Utd this window as Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his options in net. The Red Devils have also been linked with PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma this window. The Italian made an explosive statement suggesting he was being forced out of the club last week, and thanking the fans for his experiences in the French capital. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS 3 TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: ALL THE LATEST FROM THE SUMMER WINDOW Victor is highly regarded for his ball playing ability, a trait increasingly sought out in modern goalkeepers. However, his inexperience could be a sticking point for some of the game's top clubs, having played less than 140 senior matches at 29-years-old.

‘Shutting them up' – Darts star blasts social media ‘haters' after losing to Luke Littler in New Zealand Masters final
MIKE DE DECKER blasted social media 'haters' during the New Zealand Masters. The World No.19 reached the final of the Australian Darts Masters last week before losing out to Luke Littler in Auckland. 2 2 De Decker's place at the World Series events had come under scrutiny following a challenging few months on the oche since his World Grand Prix triumph. The Belgian thrower admitted the online abuse from trolls can be harsh on everyone in the sport but he isn't letting it derail his focus. He said: 'When I reached the final in Australia and I lost to Luke (Littler) I opened up social media and I didn't see one bad comment. 'I was thinking 'where are all the haters now?' 'Everyone is slagging you off when you have a bad performance and forgetting what you've done before. 'It's not only with me but it is with everyone. They have been slagging off Luke Humphries as well. 'Look at what he's done the last two years. 'So, it was a big confidence boost to reach the finals and shutting them up to be honest.' The 29-year-old was dumped out at the first hurdle in the World Cup and exited the Matchplay in round two which led to a bombardment of 'cruel' messages from online trolls. He added: 'Social media is a hard world to live in. 'After the World Cup as well when me and Dimitri (Van den Bergh) lost in the group stages, social media was a really tough place to be on. 'It's how you cope with it, but some reactions and messages are just too cruel to be left out.'

Australia's Slipper, Pietsch out of second test against Springboks
JOHANNESBURG, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Australia are counting the cost of their epic 38-22 Rugby Championship victory over South Africa at Ellis Park on Saturday after wing Dylan Pietsch and experienced prop James Slipper were ruled out of Saturday's second test in Cape Town. Australia rallied from 22 points down to win in Johannesburg for the first time since 1963 in a scintillating second half display that rocked the world champions. Pietsch broke his jaw in the first half and Slipper failed a concussion test after the match. Both will return to Australia, along with flyhalf Ben Donaldson (abductor strain), who was injured in training ahead of the game. Wing Filipo Daugunu, prop Rhys van Nek and centre Hamish Stewart will link up with the squad this week ahead of the clash in Cape Town. Australia are also sweating on the fitness of captain Harry Wilson, who pulled up lame after scoring the second of two tries at Ellis Park.
