Woman's Uber driver turns out to be her ‘team lead' in ‘peak Bengaluru moment'; says ‘he does this for…'
In a story that has the internet buzzing, a Bengaluru woman recently shared an unexpected twist to her Uber ride—her driver turned out to be none other than her team lead from work.
She took to X to share a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation describing the bizarre-yet-very-Bengaluru moment: 'Funny thing happened, you know. I booked Uber, and the guy who picked me up was a team lead at my office.'
The plot thickened when she explained that her boss was not moonlighting for extra cash. 'He said he does this for fun and to kill some boredom,' she wrote. Apparently, he just enjoys the change of pace.
The post quickly went viral, with many calling it the perfect example of Bengaluru's unique, startup-driven, hustle-heavy culture.

One thing we've learned about Microsoft during the age of AI is that the company doesn't give up easily. In the shadow of AI, the company has reinvented how Bing operates again and again, hoping to pique the interest of users who are looking for a robust alternative to Google's Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT. In many ways, AI text generation is a thing of the past. The most growing area of interest for AI content generation now lies in video content. However, Microsoft has an edge here - albeit purposely. And that's pretty much the strategy with this move to offer free video generation via Bing. Just because the Bing video generator is free to use on the mobile app doesn't mean it's a free-for-all. There are some natural restrictions in place. Funnily enough, the Bing Video Creator depends on OpenAI's Sora, which is a text-to-video model. Within Bing, users get the ability to edit, merge, and adjust videos after they've been created. Still in beta, the tool is only available through a ChatGPT subscription. But Microsoft is giving it away for free. Why, you wonder? To draw attention. For now, users can generate only 5-second-long clips with output in a 9:16 aspect ratio at a 480p resolution. In terms of interface, Bing is way behind compared to OpenAI's native functionality. It might be to avoid any issues with problematic content that involves violence or imitation of someone. Another thing, you may not get your free AI video for hours through Bing - unless you use one of your stipulated 'Fast Generations.' Currently, you might not see the feature for prioritised prompts, but once it's live, you'll enjoy 10 complimentary generations before any future uses require 100 Microsoft Rewards Points per creation. It's clear that Bing isn't targeting users who need high-end video content, but is instead trying to lure in users who depend on other services for free AI tools. The name of this game is 'let me show you what I got' and so we shall see! PS: To access the Video Creator, open the Bing app and select the menu icon in the bottom-right corner. Choose the new tool from the list, enter your detailed prompt, and prepare for a brief wait as your video is generated.

Special NDPS Court Grants Rhea Chakraborty Permission To Travel Abroad
Last Updated: Rhea Chakraborty was booked in a drugs case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. A special court under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has granted permission to actress Rhea Chakraborty to travel abroad for professional commitments. The court has allowed her to travel out of India from June 1 to September 15, 2025. Chakraborty, who is involved in a drug case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been granted permission to visit Sri Lanka, Serbia, and various European countries to work on a new project. Rhea Chakraborty had recently submitted an application in the court seeking permission to travel abroad. She had stated that she was required to travel for the filming of Stepsons season one, an international production. Therefore, she requested the temporary release of her passport for visa processing. However, the prosecution opposed the plea and argued that the actress might use this opportunity to abscond. Rejecting the concerns, the court stated that Chakraborty is a Mumbai resident with 'deep roots in society". In an order dated May 29, Special Judge CS Datir stated that Rhea had previously travelled abroad with the court's permission when she also complied fully with all bail conditions. 'Considering her request and keeping in mind her past behaviour, I am inclined to allow her to travel abroad for the aforesaid period," the court ruled and then added, 'There is no occasion that she had infringed the bail conditions," as quoted by Hindustan Times. For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September 2020 after they found some chats with alleged drug peddlers on her WhatsApp. She was granted bail later, but had restrictions on her travel for a long time. Previously, in an interview, the actress, who was recently seen in Roadies, recalled her jail experience and called it 'frustrating'. 'It's frustrating; they're languishing, but they know when and how to catch that happiness. And it can be as small as a samosa on a Sunday. It can be as small as somebody dancing for them. So it's just perspective; it's how you look at it," she said. 'At that point, yes, my life was in the worst hell it could have been. But heaven or hell is a choice in your head that you can make. It's difficult to choose heaven each time. But the battle is of the mind, and if you have the strength and desire in your heart, you'll most definitely battle the mind and win," Rhea added. Patna: IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad gets bomb threat, all passengers evacuated safely
An IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad received a bomb threat on Wednesday, triggering a massive search on board after it landed at the Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) airport in Patna around 1pm, officials said. The aircraft was parked in the isolation bay of the airport for a thorough security check and all 192 passengers on board the aircraft were evacuated safely after around 40 minutes. The bomb threat was sent through a WhatsApp message to the cellphone of IndiGo station manager Shalini after the flight landed in Patna. The message had 'bomb' written on a napkin tissue, as per the message communicated to the Air Traffic Control (ATC), which immediately alerted the CISF. A meeting of officials, including those of the airport, security, the district administration and the police is underway as part of the standard operating procedure in such cases, after the Airports Authority of India (AAI) informed the administration and the police.
