Prince Harry loves nothing more than being a dad to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet - but he is set to miss out on a major milestone next month as he honours his late mother, Princess Diana.
On May 6, Harry and Meghan's son Archie will celebrate his 6th birthday. But his father will be away from the family home and instead he will be in Las Vegas to launch a new youth initiative with the Diana Award.
Given that Archie's special day falls on a Tuesday - and he will likely be at school - Harry and Meghan will likely hold a weekend celebration instead. And the Duke will no doubt make sure he FaceTime his son to mark the occasion.
Harry is heading to Vegas to launch the Pledge To Invest drive, which aims to put a spotlight on the future of youth leadership and how forward-thinking businesses can support it. He will meet with two young people, who are holders of The Legacy Award in memory of his late mother - Sikander 'Sonny' Khan, from Michigan in the US, and Christina Williams, from Jamaica.
Sikander works in artificial intelligence at Microsoft and also heads up the Paani Project, an organisation that supports diverse humanitarian efforts in Pakistan, including the construction of over 20,000 wells. Christina, meanwhile, is an attorney and advocate from Jamaica who champions youth empowerment and marginalised groups' equitable access to education, healthcare and technology.
Harry will also be joined by Paul Fippsat, President of Global Customer Operations at ServiceNow, at the event, which is being hosted by Dr Tessy Ojo, the CEO of the Diana Award.
Dr Ojo said: "Companies that invest in youth leadership today are cultivating the workforce, innovators and consumers of tomorrow.
"The Diana Award is proud to launch Pledge To Invest - an opportunity for forward-thinking businesses to make a strategic, measurable and high-impact investment in the future of youth leadership.
"For over 25 years, The Diana Award has invested in young people, empowering them to tackle the pressing issues of our time." Mr Fipps, meanwhile, said he is "proud to partner with Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and The Diana Award to provide a platform that encourages other business leaders to invest in young people".
The Diana Award is an international award that honours young people who work to improve the lives of others. The award was launched in 1999 by the former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown in honour of the late Princess.
Both Harry and his brother Prince William regularly attend Diana Awards events. In March this year, the future King attended the awards ceremony at the Science Museum in London.
In his touching speech, William spoke of remembering his mother through the work he and his wife Princess Kate are committed to. He said, "She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back; that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life.
"That legacy is something that both Catherine and I have sought to focus on through our work, as have the 50,000 young people who have received a Diana Award over the past 25 years.
"I am so proud to see this belief of my mother's manifested in the amazing young people receiving the Legacy Award tonight."
Shortly after William's speech, Harry also made a virtual appearance at the awards from his home in California. He spoke with the award recipients, virtually, to celebrate their accomplishments. Notably, Prince William departed before his brother's appearance.

Kids and teens can get free theatre tickets all summer as London Kids Week booking opens for 2025
The school summer holidays are famously a nightmarish month-and-a-half of trying to amuse children unaware of the fact that you're desperately trying to keep them entertained during a break that is longer than all your annual leave put together. Still, there are some bright spots, especially living in London, and a big one is London Kids Week. Run by the Society of London Theatre, it's nothing so vulgar as 'a sale', but is rather an initiative to get children into a theatre during the school hols by offering under-18s free tickets when accompanied by a paying adult. In addition, up to two further children's tickets can be booked at half price by the same adult. It's a damn good deal with no real catch (there isn't even a booking fee), beyond the fact that inventory is limited, although rarely massively so. Get in early, though, and you might be able to snag (free) tickets to one of the special workshops or other activities laid on as part of the 'week', which you can book for now and runs the length of the summer hols, from July 21 to August 31 (a strange definition of 'week' but whatever). It's always a good showing and runs the gamut from full on kids' theatre like The Smeds and the Smoos and The Tiger Who Came to Tea – clearly aimed at younger audiences – to much more adult fare like Stranger Things: The First Shadow and the Rachel Zegler-starring Evita that will theoretically allow you to impress teens at an affordable price. She even ended up saying things like she's 'not ashamed of it at all,' and was 'worried about how he'd react.' Huda took her time telling Jeremiah that she was a mum, four episodes in fact, because of the reaction she'd had from other men in the past. And yet, when UK Love Island bombshell Shea was revealed as having a son, the reaction couldn't have been better. Beneath TikTok videos of Shea being a dad, fans said how 'cute' it was, and praised the star for 'doing the show for his baby.' The comments section on X, TikTok and Instagram has been flooded with positivity about Shea being a dad, especially as he says in his pre-Love Island interview: 'Also, I have a little boy, so I'll be taking him into consideration with who I couple up with, too.' The news has been so well-received, with fans praising the star for thinking about his son when it comes to picking which girl he'll couple up with. But for Huda? Just negativity, fears and a reaction that's enough to put anyone off telling someone that they're a mum ever again. As a mum myself, it makes me so sad to see. Why is there such an obvious split between the way both Huda and Shea have been treated when revealing that they're parents? It's a great move from Love Island to have parents on the show, and really widens the representation. But we've still got a way to go in changing perception when it comes to single mums looking for love. Jeremiah isn't the sole problem, he's well within his right to be surprised, as the revelation had been kept a secret from him for some time. But he is a part of the wider issue of women being afraid to admit they've got kids while dating. You might not be ready to be a step-dad and that's fair enough, but is there a world where people learn to react in a manner that doesn't portray pure horror? A world where people consider the feelings of the person telling them, and not just themselves. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but what I will say is seeing parents on Love Island really does highlight that we have a huge way to go in the way that the world views mums looking for love versus dads. We need to do better.
