Aggression's Mercenaries: Retaliatory Measures Target Citizens' Interests and Serve Occupation's Agenda
Sana'a - Saba:
After all the collapse they have caused in the economic and living conditions of the Yemeni people, especially in the occupied governorates, mercenaries and agents continue their comprehensive war against citizens by all means and methods, exploiting their existing institutions and the support of the forces of aggression and occupation to strangle the people.
After bringing the occupied governorates and their people to their current state of suffering and catastrophic conditions at all levels of living, services, and humanitarian aid as a result of their tampering with state institutions and the national currency over the past years, their plundering of public resources, and their war of services that has affected all aspects of life, the agents and traitors continue to adopt and take further hostile measures that primarily target citizens and their interests, these measures serve the agendas of the occupying forces aimed at dividing Yemen, undermining its unity, security, and stability, and depriving the Yemeni people of their rights to a decent life, freedom of movement, and access to all basic services.
As part of these provocative and hostile steps, which deepen divisions, undermine stability, and exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people, mercenaries are issuing identity cards, passports, vehicle license plates, and other documents outside the framework of the Republic of Yemen's approved national identification number.
The mercenary and agent authorities are also preventing residents of the free governorates from visiting their families and relatives in the occupied governorates and from accessing or using their property in those areas. These are dangerous steps and measures that primarily target the interests of citizens, merchants, businessmen, and low-income workers, affecting all segments of society, they also clearly target national unity and serve the interests of the foreign powers and their regional and international proxies.
The danger of these measures lies in their targeting of citizens' interests and transactions, given the dangers of carrying such illegally issued documents, which expose their holders to penalties under the law.
The occupation's tools were not satisfied with all the disastrous measures and decisions they took, which had a profound impact on the economy and livelihood of the Yemeni people, the most prominent of these measures was the transfer of the functions of the Central Bank, the counterfeiting of the national currency, and the printing of massive quantities of it, this led to a historic collapse of the currency, which reached record lows against other currencies, reaching more than 2,500 riyals to the dollar.
These measures, which can only be described as aggressive, caused the local currency in circulation in the occupied governorates to lose more than 90 percent of its purchasing power, and were met with a dramatic increase in the prices of goods and public services, nearly tenfold.
As a result of these unjust decisions, the majority of citizens in the occupied governorates were unable to purchase their essential needs, such as food and medicine. Meanwhile, the public institutions controlled by the mercenaries in those areas were unable to provide essential services, such as electricity, water, health, sanitation, and other services, this led to the spread of diseases and epidemics and the loss of many lives.
As a result of all the above, the occupied governorates are witnessing a state of turmoil, protests, and escalating popular anger, expressed in the occasional demonstrations in the city of Aden and other occupied governorates, these demonstrations are met with repression and violence by mercenary militias, who pressure residents to prevent them from demonstrating and revealing the deteriorating conditions in these areas.
What has encouraged the occupation and its proxies to continue these unjust measures and practices against citizens is the silence and disregard of relevant international organizations regarding the repression and violations of all rights and freedoms taking place in the occupied governorates, this is in addition to the bitter suffering endured by the residents as a result of the escalating crises resulting from the corruption and mercenary tampering with public institutions and resources, which has turned citizens' lives into hell.
Many observers describe the occupation's proxies' persistence in taking further such measures as part of the plans and conspiracies of the occupying powers and their malicious efforts to deepen division and disintegration, and to gradually divide Yemen and undermine its territorial integrity.
According to observers, the occupation and its agents seek, through these practices, to cover up the state of chaos, inability, and abject failure to achieve any economic or security stability in the occupied territories, this is especially true given the prevailing security and economic stability in the free governorates, which constitutes a major embarrassment to the mercenaries and their supporters, whom the local population has come to view as a gang of thieves and corrupt individuals.

UN envoy warns Yemen in ‘free fall' and urges action to avoid wider conflict
UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg warned the Security Council on Thursday that Yemen faces economic 'free fall' and escalating conflict risks, demanding urgent humanitarian and diplomatic interventions. Amid the Houthi attacks on Israel and retaliatory strikes by Israel on Yemeni infrastructure, Grundberg stressed that fragile frontlines threaten renewed violence, particularly in Marib. Grundberg declared: 'The cost of isolation is high, and Yemen cannot afford more years of division, economic collapse and human suffering.' He urged parties to prioritize dialogue over military escalation and called for the unconditional release of detained UN personnel held by Houthi forces. Grundberg concluded: 'Peace in Yemen is much more than threat containment. It is, first and foremost, about the Yemenis.' Humanitarian conditions remain dire in the country. UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Msuya reported that over 17 million Yemenis—nearly half the population—endure acute hunger, with 1.3 million pregnant or breastfeeding women and 2.3 million children under five suffering from malnutrition. Without sustained aid, she cautioned, 6 million more could face emergency food insecurity. Despite challenges, Msuya highlighted progress. A critical Aden-Sana'a road reopened after seven years, for instance, and the EU pledged €80 million in humanitarian funding. Operations, however, are hamstrung by funding gaps. She emphasized: 'Humanitarians are clearly doing their best, but our response falls short of what Yemen needs.' The ongoing conflict began in 2015 between the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi rebels, and the conflict has left many citizens homeless and in desperate need of assistance. It has been estimated that nearly 4.5 million Yemenis have been displaced, and the country as a whole is at risk of collapsing. The UN Security Council previously voted to extend its full support to monitor the operations in Yemen through the UN Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement, the validity of which lasts until July 14, 2025.

Lahj: Women's Committee in al-Qabaita district commemorates day of guardianship
Lahj - Saba: The Women's Committee in al-Qabaita district of Lahj governorat organized a speech event on Saturday to commemorate the Day of Guardianship of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), under the slogan "The Principle of Guardianship: A Path of Light and Victory." Participants' speeches emphasized the Yemeni people's close connection to this occasion, given its significant strength in confronting Jews and Christians. The participants also emphasized the importance of instilling a culture of guardianship, correcting the path of the nation, confronting enemies, and defending the religion and Islamic sanctities. They indicated that adherence to the guardianship of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is a practical response to the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): "Whoever I am his guardian, then this Ali is his guardian. O God, befriend whoever befriends him, be hostile to whoever is hostile to him, support whoever supports him, and let down whoever lets him down." The participants addressed the importance of commemorating the Day of Ghadir as an important educational and faith-based event, drawing lessons and morals from the stances and heroism of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and his pioneering jihadist role in defending God's religion and confronting injustice and tyranny.
