The View's Joy Behar mercilessly mocked after admitting to bizarre relationship habit

Daily Mail9 hours ago

Joy Behar has been branded a 'bit weird' by her co-hosts on The View after she revealed a surprising habit that she and her husband on 14 years have fallen into.
During Tuesday's episode of the ABC talk show, the journalist shamelessly shared that she and her other half, Steven Janowitz, enjoy watching the same television show at the same time… but separately.
Joy exposed her peculiar pastime as she kickstarted a discussion on a new trend called 'screen divorce,' where couples watch their favorite shows solo.
It comes after a recent poll claimed that 55 percent of couples argue over what television shows to watch.
Addressing co-stars Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro, Joy admitted: 'Steve and I will be in different rooms watching the same Law and Order rerun.
'I go to the bedroom because I need the ceiling fan since I've been menopausal for 40 years, but he's in the other room watching the exact same show.'
'Oh, I thought you watched different shows,' a gobsmacked Sunny, 56, remarked.
'No,' Joy said matter-of-factly. 'We watch the same show.'
'That's a little bit weird,' Ana, 53, responded.
'Why doesn't he join you in there?' asked a perplexed Sara, 47.
But Joy fired back at the criticism. 'Why is it weird?' she pressed, adding that she isn't open to buying a handheld fan so she could join her husband to watch the serial together.
'I have one in my bedroom, why do I have to buy another fan?' she said. 'People should strive for this: Quality time apart.'
Her co-hosts couldn't understand Joy's need for space, with Sunny revealing that while she and her husband, Manny Hostin, watch romcoms and fantasy series together, he'll watch his dystopian and horror favorites alone.
Ana shared that she and her spouse, Al Cárdenas, also watch their favorite shows by themselves because they don't have the same taste in programs.
As she wrapped up the discussion, Joy added: 'My thing about the separate rooms is a very good form of contraception, so remember that.'
Joy married her second husband, middle school math teacher Steve, in 2011.
The pair had been in a relationship for nearly 30 years before they tied the knot in a private ceremony, held in New York City.
'I waited until all the parents were dead,' she told Rachael Ray in 2011. 'So I have no in-laws at all.
'He has none and I have none. 'Cause marriage is mostly about in-laws, I find.
'They always want you to visit them and come for lasagna.'
She also joked: 'If he was going to get down on one knee, I wanted it to be during the time when he could still get up from one knee!'
Joy shares 54-year-old daughter, Eve, with her first husband, Joe Behar, whom she was married to between 1965 and 1981.

Improvements in rendering hands and maintaining visual balance further enhance its appeal for creators seeking polished and professional-looking results. Limitations and Challenges Despite its strengths, Midjourney Video has several limitations that may impact its suitability for certain projects. The most notable constraint is the resolution cap at 480p, which falls short of professional-quality standards. Other challenges include: Motion Stutters: Inconsistencies in motion and animation can occasionally disrupt the fluidity of the video, affecting its overall quality. Olive Garden wants you to cool down with its innovative summer offering

Cheesy noodles, saucy noodles, chicken and noodles — they're all staples at Olive Garden stores. Now, the Italian-American pasta chain is hoping you'll spring for a very different kind: a pool noodle. On Monday, the company dropped a limited-edition summer merch line featuring three pool floats shaped like some of its best-selling pasta dishes. They're called the floatin' fettuccine, takin' it easy tortelloni, and relaxin' rigatoni. The $40 floats go on sale to starting June 30 at 2pm ET on Olive Garden's website. But fans who sign up for the brand's free eClub loyalty program can snag early access beginning June 26 at 10am. 'Olive Garden has always been known for going big — big portions, big value, and never-ending first courses,' Jaime Bunker, the senior vice president for the brand, said in a statement emailed to 'This summer, we're bringing that same spirit of abundance to the pool.' The fettuccine-inspired float is flat, letting pool-goers sprawl out across it — like the chicken does on the entrée. Meanwhile, the circular tortelloni and rigatoni floats are designed so you can nestle inside, like a scoop of sauce of cheese. Any pool float purchase includes shipping and a cheeky bonus 'first course' — customers can choose between breadstick-themed bucket hats, soup-inspired totes, and lettuce-decorated floating drink holders. 'I don't know if I'll ever have a pool,' one customer commented on the company's Facebook page, 'but the intense feeling of need I have for the tortellini float cannot be put into words!' Olive Garden is not the first food chain to memorialize its iconic products with a pool-based line. Pop-Tart, Rice Krispie, Eggo, and Cheez-It all released pool toys that look like their snacks products. They're available at Target and Walmart locations for $20. In 2021, Panera launched a lineup of swim trunks and one-piece bathing suits, inspired by its food lineup. One green Panera-inspired swimsuit just said 'SOUP' in block lettering. Olive Garden's recent news Founded in Orlando, Florida in 1982, Olive Garden has grown steadily to be a favorite for family meals. In the restaurant industry, the chain held the top spot in US revenue since 2018. That changed in April. A suddenly resurgent Texas Roadhouse, buoyed by an impressive social media campaign and low menu prices, snatched the revenue crown from the pasta brand for the first time in seven years. Darden, Olive Garden's owner, has rolled out a series of programs to re-energize its sales. Last year, it partnered with DoorDash and UberEats to provide online deliveries to nearby guests. The brand ardently avoided the partnership for years. While Olive Garden still remains profitable, some of its sister restaurants have run into troubles. Bahama Breeze, one of the other Darden Restaurant chains, closed a third of its stores in mid-May.
