Did Taylor Swift's Spotify playlist for new album hint at new producers?
It has already been a wild week for Swifties, and it's only Tuesday morning. Monday was a whirlwind as the New Heights podcast, hosted by Taylor Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, teased a special episode with a surprise guest. After a lot of detective work that referenced the mysterious silhouette and the glittery orange background, hypotheses started flying that the 14-time Grammy winner would be the mystery guest. That theory gained legs when Swift's official social media account Taylor Nation posted 12 orange photos 12 minutes after the New Heights post, seemingly indicating Swift would be using the podcast to announce something about her 12th studio album. Her appearance was confirmed on the podcast with a shared clip of Swift sitting alongside Kelce and reflecting on the fact they were doing a podcast together. Later Monday night, a countdown showed up on Swift's website, ending at 12:12 AM on August 12. When the clock hit zeroes, New Heights dropped another video, this one showing the The Tortured Poets Department singer removing a vinyl from a TS branded case and announcing her upcoming album, The Life Of A Showgirl. We don't have a release date -- or an album cover -- for the album yet, but we do have a Swift-curated playlist on Spotify. The playlist features 22 songs, and they all have something in common. All the songs featured were produced by Swedish writing and producing duo Max Martin and Shellback. Swift has worked with the pair before, namely on her Red, 1989 and Reputation albums. Signs are good for the pop album of our dreams. You can listen to the playlist on Spotify here: Stay tuned for more information on The Life Of A Showgirl! Is "And, baby, that's show business for you" a new lyric on the Taylor Swift's album, The Life of a Showgirl? ... Maybe? We'll see!

Taylor Swift's Orange Lipstick from the TS12 Announcement
Good morning fellow tired people who stayed up all night to watch Taylor Swift announce TS12 in a clip from New Heights posted exactly at 12:12! Due to not sleeping at all and spending most of the night reading into everything, we did some historical research and think we found the lipstick Taylor's wearing in her album announcement. Emphasis on "think," because Tay's makeup artist Lorrie Turk hasn't confirmed anything just yet. First up, this was Taylor's vibe during the podcast: a crisp while shirt, paired with a Cartier necklace (feels like we should be reading into that, but not sure how yet), and the aforementioned orange lipstick. Very on theme, since orange is the color of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. Kay, so about that lipstick. It looks strikingly familiar to a shade Taylor wore to a Chiefs game back in September: Which is the same shade she wore to the 2024 VMAs: Lorrie Turk hopped onto Instagram last October to reveal the color and brand, saying "So many people asking about this lipstick that Taylor wears all the time. It's NARS Morocco Lipstick. She's worn it for years." While the shade is often sold out due to the Taylor Swift of it all, it happens to be available on the NARS website and it's on sale. The original 12 NARS Lipstick shades. Long-lasting, matte and satin colors apply smoothly with a lightweight feel. Oh, and while we're here: if you're wondering when The Life of a Showgirl drops, the official date is TBD. But we do know it's likely before mid October, since the album's shipping date is 10/13/2025.

Taylor Swift Dropped an August 12 Clue Months Ago
Taylor Swift just surprised everyone by announcing TS12, aka her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. And the announcement went down exactly at 12:12 on August 12, which might seem like a random date, but was actually hinted at by Taylor allll the way back on October 18, 2024. Remember this video of Taylor wandering around her Miami Eras Tour stadium with her cat? There's a very distinctive "A12" sign in the background, and fans are just now realizing that it was a clear hint of things to come. I mean, HER MIND, but we really be surprised? After all, Taylor is an established genius when it comes to easter eggs. As she once told Entertainment Weekly, "I think the best messages are cryptic ones. Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry. This is one of my favorite ways to do this because you wear something that foreshadows something else, and people don't usually find out this one immediately, but they know you're probably sending a message. They'll figure it out in time. Lots of examples of this exist through the history of my career." She also told the Washington Post that "It's really about turning new music into an event for my fans and trying to entertain them in playful, mischievous, clever ways. As long as they still find it fun and exciting, I'll keep doing it." Will never not find easter eggs fun and exciting! And speaking of...
