30-year-old suspected Pakistani spy held in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer
According to officials, the accused, identified as Jivan Khan (30), a resident of the Sankada area, had earlier worked at a restaurant inside the military area in Jaisalmer. Sources said that Khan was trying to regain entry into the Army station on Tuesday (August 19) when he was stopped at the gate.
After his mobile was checked over suspicious activity, Khan was detained by MI personnel and was later handed over to the police on Tuesday night, they said. During questioning, he reportedly admitted to having relatives in Pakistan.
Khan will be produced before the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC), where multiple security agencies are expected to question him further, they added.

This is the fourth suspected spy case in Jaisalmer. On August 13, a contractual manager at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house near Chandan Field Firing Range was also arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.
According to the Rajasthan CID (Security), Mahendra Prasad, a resident of Almora in Uttarakhand, was found to be in contact with Pakistani intelligence agency through social media and was allegedly passing on sensitive details about the movement of DRDO scientists and Army officers engaged in missile and weapons testing at the firing range.

Masood Azhar's Jaish dodging FATF to rebuild terror bases razed in Op Sindoor
Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), the Pakistan-based terror outfit led by Masood Azhar, has launched a massive online fundraising worth PKR 3.91 billion using Pakistani digital wallets, bypassing international monitoring systems and exposing the hollowness of Islamabad's FATF (Financial Action Task Force) compliance JeM is openly seeking donations through digital banking transaction platforms to rebuild its terror infrastructure destroyed by India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, when the Indian Air Force (IAF) flattened the JeM's headquarters Markaz Subhanallah in Bahawalpur along with four other training camps, namely Markaz Bilal, Markaz Abbas, Mahmona Joya and Sargal. These accounts are rotated every few months, with funds broken into smaller transfers before withdrawal, making detection almost impossible. Roughly 80 per cent of the JeM's finances now move through digital wallets, amounting to PKR 800-900 million annually, with a large share coming from Gulf-based the JeM claims each markaz costs PKR 12.5 million, intelligence assessments suggest smaller facilities can be built for just PKR 4-5 million, with only a few large complexes costing up to PKR 100 million. This leaves a significant surplus from the PKR 3.91 billion campaign, which intelligence agencies believe is diverted towards weapons JeM already spends about 50 per cent of its annual fundraising on arms. With the ISI's backing, it procures machine guns, rocket launchers and mortars from the black market. Given its links with Hamas and the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, security agencies believe the group may now look to acquire attack drones and digital wallet system itself functions as a parallel banking channel, allowing wallet-to-wallet and wallet-to-cash transfers that remain invisible to the FATF's SWIFT-based monitoring. Beyond the online appeals, JeM commanders continue to collect funds in mosques under the guise of Gaza relief. If successful, the fundraising drive would secure the JeM's operational and weapons financing for at least the next decade, cementing its nationwide network even as Islamabad continues to deny Azhar's presence on its soil. 20-year-old Agniveer shot dead in Haryana's Palwal, accused absconding
A 20-year-old Army soldier was allegedly shot dead in the Palwal district of Haryana on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The deceased was identified as Baldev, who was recruited into the Army in 2024 as part of the Agnipath scheme, which recruits youth into the armed forces for an initial short contract of four years. The police said the Agniveer was back in his native village of Mandkaul on leave and was staying in his house on a farmland. A group of people, including those identified as Bansi, Arun, Naresh, Rajendra, and some others unidentified, allegedly attacked him over an old rivalry with his family. According to the police, the accused, who are currently absconding, shot Baldev in the head, killing him on the spot. Baldev's father Khemchand told the police that on July 16, the same accused attacked his brother Bishan Sharma. An attempt to murder case was registered at the Gadpuri police station in that matter against the assailants, he said. Khemchand said the accused were pressuring him to withdraw that case and constantly threatening to kill him and his family members. He claimed that he had filed several complaints at the Baghaula police post, apprehending a threat to him and his family members. He alleged that the accused had earlier threatened Baldev over the phone, despite him being posted in the Army. On Khemchand's complaint, the Gadpuri police registered a murder case against the four named accused and others. Ashwani Kumar, the local police station in charge, told the media that action had been initiated against all the accused based on Khemchand's complaint. 'Raids are being conducted to nab the accused. All those involved in this heinous crime will be nabbed soon,' said Kumar. The police also said Baldev's post-mortem examination was conducted Thursday afternoon.
