They had snapped it up for nearly £700,000 three years ago but advertised it for offers in the region of £850,000.
But after three months they have reduced the figure to offers in the region of £825,000 in a bid to offload the house in Hawick, Roxburghshire.
It was the location where he had subjected her to domestic abuse.
Hogg admitted a five-year course of domestic abuse against his wife at Selkirk Sheriff Court in November last year.
He admitted shouting and swearing and acting in an abusive manner towards her.
Hogg also admitted repeatedly tracking her movements and sending messages of an alarming and distressing nature.
The court heard he had once sent her more than 200 messages in just a couple of hours.
Sheriff Peter Paterson ordered Hogg to complete a community payback order with one year of supervision as an alternative to jail when he sentenced him in January.
A review hearing in June at Jedburgh Sheriff Court said there was no need for a further review of the order.
A sales brochure for his rural property said it offers a 'unique opportunity to equestrian and countryside enthusiasts' or those 'looking to take advantage of a more peaceful way of life'.

It added: "The property has been tastefully refurbished throughout and is offered for sale in turn key condition with many pleasing and stylish features internally."
Former Glasgow Warriors fullback Hogg amassed a century of senior caps for his country and was involved in three British and Irish Lions tours.
He remains one of Scotland's all-time leading try scorers and was awarded an MBE in the 2024 New Year honours list for services to rugby union but there have been calls to strip him of the title.
He came out of retirement last summer to sign a two-year contract with Montpellier.

Mum says she was sexually assaulted in mid-air by parasail operator during Tunisia holiday

A British holidaymaker has claimed she was sexually assaulted while parasailing in Sousse, Tunisia. Michelle Wilson, 52, from Southport, Merseyside, says the parasail operator pressed himself against her and groped her mid-air during what should have been a thrilling ride. ‌ Michelle had planned to go on a tandem parasail flight with a friend, but was told it was too windy in Tunisia that day and they would have to fly separately, each accompanied by an operator. ‌ She said her friend went up first 'and had a great time, with no problems', noting there was plenty of distance between her friend and the operator. ‌ However, Michelle's own experience was very different. The mum-of-three said: 'I could feel the back of my bikini bottoms being pulled and he was pulling the strap. He must have been tightening the harness to get me closer. His legs straddled around me, he had one hand up on the parachute, the other wasn't. Then I felt him touch my leg.' ‌ She continued: 'He was groping me and moving back and forth into me and talking to me in Arabic. I felt him pressing against me. I kept arching my back. "I felt violated and dirty and was scared. He was only a young lad, maybe around 20. It was a horrible experience and I was really scared. I felt helpless hanging in the air.' ‌ Michelle burst into tears after landing and reported the incident to the water sports centre's manager before going to the local police. The £6,000 easyJet package holiday had been booked for Michelle, her 17-year-old daughter, her 16-year-old twin boys, and her daughter's 17-year-old friend. However, she said she felt unable to enjoy the rest of the trip after what happened. ‌ She added: 'As women you expect a bit of banter from men in these countries, but this wasn't banter, it was a sexual assault.' Michelle believes her alleged attacker has since been arrested, and that both her insurance firm and the Foreign Office are now involved in the case. An easyJet spokesperson said: 'The safety and wellbeing of our customers is a priority, and we are continuing to support Ms Wilson. We are also liaising closely with our hotel partner to look into the reports.'

Home Office gives extra £100m for plans to smash people-smuggling gangs

The cash will also pay for up to 300 more National Crime Agency (NCA) officers and new technology and equipment to step up intelligence-gathering on smuggling gangs. There will be more overtime for immigration compliance and enforcement teams as well as funding for interventions in transit countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Labour is seeking to deter smuggling gangs in a bid to bring down small boat crossings, which have topped 25,000 for the year so far – a record for this point in the year. The 'one in, one out' deal agreed last month means the UK will for the first time be able to send migrants back to France in exchange for asylum seekers with links to Britain. Anyone who advertises small boat crossings or fake passports on social media could be face up to five years in prison under a new offence to be introduced under the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said Labour had set the foundations for a 'new and much stronger law enforcement approach' over the last year. She said: 'Now this additional funding will strengthen every aspect of our plan and will turbo-charge the ability of our law enforcement agencies to track the gangs and bring them down, working with our partners overseas, and using state-of-the-art technology and equipment. 'Alongside our new agreements with France, this will help us drive forward our plan for change commitments to protect the UK's border security and restore order to our immigration system.' The NCA has 91 ongoing investigations into people-smuggling networks affecting the UK, the agency's director general of operations Rob Jones said. The Conservatives criticised the funding announcement as a 'desperate grab for headlines which will make no real difference'. Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said: 'Labour has failed and their laughable claim to smash the gangs lies in tatters. They have no serious plan, just excuses, while ruthless criminal gangs flood our borders with illegal immigrants. 'The British public deserves real action, not empty slogans and tinkering at the edges. The Conservative Deportation Bill is the only real solution. Immediate detention, rapid removal and shutting down these illegal networks for good.' Nigel Farage said it was an effort to 'throw taxpayer money at the illegal immigration crisis and hope it will go away'. 'Another £100 million here or there won't move the needle. It won't stop the boats or the gangs,' the Reform UK leader wrote in The Daily Express. A Reform UK spokesperson said: 'Until the Government gets serious about deporting every migrant that crosses the Channel, nothing will change. Only Reform will ensure the boats stop and every illegal that enters the country is sent home.'
