Gerard Butler's Viking Avatar On How To Train Your Dragon Set Made Cast ‘Nervous'
Last Updated:
The cast and crew of How To Train Your Dragon started calling Gerard Butler chief because of how real and commanding he looked.
Gerard Butler is a big name in Hollywood. This was seen on the set of the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, according to Mason Thames, the young actor playing Hiccup. He shared how Gerard, who returns as Stoick the Vast, made everyone feel a bit nervous. When Gerard walked on set in full costume, 'everybody would kind of cower a little bit, including myself." The cast and crew even started calling him 'chief" because of how real and commanding he looked.
Speaking with People, Thames said, 'When he would walk on set, you would feel that presence. It's insane to see it in person, and him bringing that character to life with the voice, the energy, the giant brute force that Stoick is, him bringing that to life was so incredible to watch. I feel like he would walk on set and everybody would kind of cower a little bit, including myself."
While Gerard Butler looked like a strong Viking warrior on the set of How to Train Your Dragon, with his heavy armour and thick beard, behind the scenes, the actor was dealing with a lot of discomfort.
While appearing on radio station Kiss, the actor explained, 'They gave me a costume that weighed 92 pounds. Best costume I've ever worn. It's stunning, but my back was breaking by the end of three hours. This movie's huge and I thought the whole movie is going to fall apart because Gerry Butler can't wear that costume. Like, what a way to go down."
As per the official synopsis, How to Train Your Dragon tells the story of Hiccup, a young boy who doesn't look at dragons as dangerous. He's the son of the village chief, Stoick the Vast, but is often ignored and not taken seriously. Everything changes when he meets a dragon named Toothless. Instead of fighting him, Hiccup chooses friendship, which shocks everyone around him. As their bond becomes strong, a new danger threatens both dragons and Vikings. Hiccup and Toothless must work together to save both and show that peace is possible.
The live action film, directed by Dean DeBlois, also features Nico Parker, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz and Murray McArthur. The movie released on June 13.

Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson shared which song she has written the fastest from her 23-year career as a recording artist Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson shared which song she has written the fastest from her 23-year career as a recording artist, reported People. On The Kelly Clarkson Show's YouTube channel, the daytime talk show host, 43, shared which song took her the shortest time to write. "A Christmas song. It was 'Underneath the Tree.' I was working with Greg Kurstin in the studio," Clarkson said of the music producer who helped her make her 2012 hit 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' and other hits, as per the outlet. "I ordered sushi and when it arrived I had written it," the three-time Grammy winner continued. "I think because I really love Christmas, I write them really quickly for Christmas -- because they feel good, because you can be a little cheesy, you know? You don't have to worry about being cool, which honestly that's not a concern generally ever because I'm not," reported People. "Underneath the Tree" was a huge hit for Clarkson, peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It topped Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart, holding the pinnacle position for four weeks. While sharing on how the holiday hit came to be, Clarkson said on her show that Kurstin, "sent me home with a little piano thing and we kind of started, not the idea of it, but just kind of the wall of sound for Christmas." She added that "it's a really cool sound at Christmas. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Mensen ouder dan 45 spelen dit spel om te ontspannen (Proberen) Taonga: la fattoria sull'isola Play Now Undo It feels nostalgic." "When you do Broadway, it's only Broadway. You eat, sleep, don't sleep much, and breathe Broadway." She added, "Thank God I have a very understanding, wonderful, and supportive fiance." Scherzinger and Evans met in 2019 on the set of The X Factor: Celebrity. The former rugby player formed a singing trio, Try Star, with fellow U.K. rugby players Levi Davis and Ben Foden, who competed with him on the show, for which Scherzinger was a judge, as per the outlet. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah?
