IndiGo's Ahmedabad-Diu flight aborts take-off due to technical snag
As per the schedule, the flight was supposed to depart around 11.15 am from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, they said.
The aircraft was in the take-off roll phase when the pilot decided to stop it on the runway.
"A technical snag indication was noticed just before the take-off on IndiGo flight 6E7966 operating from Ahmedabad to Diu on July 23," IndiGo said in a statement.
Following the standard operating procedure, the pilots informed the authorities and returned the aircraft to bay, it said.
The aircraft will undergo necessary checks and maintenance before resuming operations, it said.
The airline also said it will accommodate the passengers in the next available flight or will provide a full refund against cancellation, as per their preference.

New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) IndiGo on Thursday cancelled its flight from the national capital to Darbhanga, Bihar, after a delay, prompting a few passengers to protest at the tarmac of the Delhi airport, sources said. 'The departure of IndiGo flight 6E 360 from Delhi to Darbhanga was delayed due to heavy rains, waterlogging, and traffic congestion in Delhi. 'Later, the flight had to be cancelled owing to watch hour restrictions at Darbhanga airport that could not be extended," the airline said in a statement. Details of the number of passengers on board the flight could not be immediately ascertained. The sources said a few passengers protested at the tarmac. 'The customers at the tarmac were guided to the terminal with the support of security agencies at the airport and our team ensured their comfort," IndiGo said. The airline also said that all possible arrangements were made for the affected customers, including refreshments, alternate scheduling option, or cancellations with full refund. Regretting the inconvenience caused to the passengers, the airline said its teams were present to assist and keep the customers informed throughout the process. IndiGo ready to resume India-China flights if governments agree; Air India says no immediate plans
NEW DELHI: Indigo is ready to resume flights between India and China if both the governments permit it through bilateral pacts, said its CEO Pieter Elbers. Meanwhile, Air India said it had no immediate plans to fly to the neighbouring country. Indigo released a statement attributed to Elbers which said, 'IndiGo operated daily flights between India and China prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The airline stands ready to resume these services as soon as the bilateral arrangements between the two countries allow. Guided by its entrepreneurial spirit, IndiGo remains committed to identifying and pursuing commercially viable opportunities.' On the sidelines of an event organised in the City on Wednesday, Elbers had told mediapersons that if the bilateral arrangements between the two countries would enable operation of the flights, then Indigo would go ahead with it. 'Indigo was operating there prior to COVID and is known for its entrepreneurial spirit. If the governments were to come to an arrangement, then air travel would resume. Clearly Indigo would be ready for it.' Indigo would begin flying to Athens from India early next year, he added. It would also fly to Copenhagen and London Heathrow in the winter, he added. Contradicting reports that the Aviation Ministry had asked Air India to be ready along with IndiGo to operate flights next month to China, an Air India source told, 'The Government has not conveyed anything to us in connection with flight operations to China. As of now, we are not having any immediate plans to fly to China in the near future.'
