Angelo Mathews made his debut before Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Mathews, who made his debut in 2009, has played 118 Tests in which he has scored 8167 runs. Apart from this, he has also taken 34 wickets. He has scored 16 centuries and 45 half-centuries so far, in which 200 is his best score. Mathews was the captain of all formats of Sri Lanka from 2013 to 2017.

The RPL, world's first franchise-based Rugby 7s league, is set to begin on June 15 at the Andheri Sports Complex (Mumbai Football Arena, MFA). Besides Kalinga Black Tigers, the other teams are Bengaluru Bravehearts, Chennai Bulls, Delhi Redz, Hyderabad Heroes and Mumbai Dreamers. Backed by Hunch Ventures, an investment firm deeply rooted in Odisha, KBT embodies a broader vision for the state's development and recognition on the national stage.
