The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh Cancelled at Prime Video After 1 Season
The series — which was one of TVLine's Hidden Gems You May Have Missed from last year's TV — starred Naveen Andrews (Lost) and stand-up comic Sindhu Vee as the heads of the titular Pradeep family, whose move from India to the States leaves them in hot water with the authorities. 'As told through hilarious (and often conflicting) flashbacks from an interrogation room, the Pradeeps quickly find themselves embroiled—romantically, personally, and professionally—with a polar-opposite neighborhood family, leading to a predicament with many surprising twists,' reads the official synopsis.

Nancy Meyers Reacts With Surprise to News of 'The Holiday' Limited Series
THE RUNDOWN On August 1, it was reported that Nancy Meyers's 2006 film The Holiday was in development as a limited series for Apple TV+ by Deadline. But it looks like Meyers had no idea about the new show and was quick to comment on the production in an Instagram Story. Sharing a screenshot of a report on The Holiday series, Meyers wrote over it, 'News to me. Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw.' Here's everything we know about the project so far. In the original film, two women trade homes in the U.K. countryside and Los Angeles after struggling with their personal lives. Amanda Woods is a Hollywood trailer editor who ends her engagement and Iris is a newspaper columnist stuck in a rut. After trading spaces, Amanda meets Iris's widower brother, Graham, and surprises herself by reconnecting emotionally to love. Iris meets Amanda's neighbor, Arthur, a forgotten Hollywood icon, and then meets a film composer named Miles; both men help her transform. The series will likely be some version of Meyers's original story, keeping 'the setup of the movie about a single American and single British woman living very different lives who swap their houses for the holidays and find love in the process.' The original cast included Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black, but Deadline stated the show will feature 'new characters,' and thus new actors. But maybe we can hope for a cameo? Krissie Ducker is serving as the writer and executive producer for The Holiday series, along with comedian Rob Delaney as a consultant on the script. Not yet. This post will be updated.

The Golden Bachelor's Mel Owens Offers Mea Culpa for ‘Insensitive' Comments About Older Women: ‘I've Learned a Lot'
The new star of The Golden Bachelor was a little tarnished by recent comments he made about dating older women, but he's trying to make amends. In a new interview with Glamour, Mel Owens — who is set to star in the second season of ABC's senior dating competition — confronts the backlash he received when he said in a podcast interview in June that he'd eliminate any contestants age 60 or older. (Owens is 66, for the record.) More from TVLine Matt Damon and Ken Jennings Risk It All on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - But Did They Win Big? ABC Moves Up Premiere Date for 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville and Grey's Anatomy Joshua Jackson Admits He's 'Bummed Out' by Doctor Odyssey Cancellation: 'It Was a Really Fun Show' Owens is now backtracking on those comments, saying they 'were a mistake by me. It's unfair. It's insensitive… and I want to earn it back.' Owens is currently two weeks into shooting his season of The Golden Bachelor, and he reveals he apologized to the women as well: 'When I first walked in, I addressed it. I apologized to them. I said, 'It was unfair, insensitive. I want to earn it back. Just give me the chance.'' The women on Owens' season are in their 60s, he says, and he was 'absolutely shocked' at how 'active' and 'brilliant' they are. (ABC has not yet revealed the women competing in Mel's season.) They also got a little revenge on him, he hints: 'One of the dates was a roast. It was brutal. They were killing me… It was good because I earned that, and I took it and I deserved it, and it landed squarely on me.' Owens blames his controversial comments on his lack of familiarity with the show: 'I didn't know the age range because I wasn't watching it. I'm thinking, to me, the age range was 45 to 60. That's my age range. I'm thinking that's the gold years for me.' He also says he preferred younger women because 'my reference… was when I was dating at 39, 40. I hadn't dated in 26 years, so I had no clue.' He hopes fans who wrote off the show after his comments will give it another chance: 'Hopefully the show will show that the women that are in their golden years, that are doing these amazing things. It's inspirational.' The experience so far has been 'life-altering' for him, he adds: 'I've learned a lot.' Owens' season of The Golden Bachelor premieres Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c on ABC. ‘Fubar' Canceled By Netflix After 2 Seasons
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is not proceeding with a third season of Arnold Schwarzenegger's spy action series Fubar. The decision comes about a month and a half after Season 2 launched on the platform on June 12. It follows surprisingly soft performance for the series, which, likely fueled by Schwarzenegger's global star power, had a strong series launch in May 2023 and also stars Monica Barbaro who became an Oscar nominee between Seasons 1 and 2 for A Complete Unknown. Julia Whelan's Book All The Songs You'll Hear In Netflix's 'My Oxford Year' Rom Com Book Adaptation Netflix Rom-Com 'Voicemails For Isabelle' Adds Nick Offerman, Lukas Gage, Harry Shum Jr., Ciara Bravo & More To Cast Returning more than two years after Season 1 dropped, Fubar barely made Netflix's Top 10 for English-language series in its first week, landing in the last spot with 2.2M views from Thursday through Sunday, down from about 11M views for the show's Season 1 premiere weekend. Season 2 peaked at #7 in its first full week with 3.3M views and logged one more #10 finish in Week 3 with 1.8M views before dropping out of the Top 10. This still is a rare Netflix cancellation of this year, joining another sophomore action drama, The Recruit, and freshmen Pulse and The Residence. The streamer has renewed close to 20 scripted shows over that period, most recently limited series Untamed for Season 2, Shane Gillis' comedy Tires for Season 3 and romantic dramas Ransom Canyon for Season 2 and Virgin River for Season 8. Fubar centers on a CIA operative (Schwarzenegger) on the verge of retirement who discovers a family secret and is forced to go back into the field for one last job. Carrie-Anne Moss joined the cast in Season 2 as Greta Nelso, a former East German spy who has a passionate history with Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger). Season 2 also stars Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris and Scott Thompson. Nick Santora serves as showrunner and executive produces with Schwarzenegger. Additional executive producers are Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, Phil Abraham, Amy Pocha, Seth Cohen and Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell.
